Room To Move by Access Parkour

Fantastic experience: This is such a great resource. My grandson goes twice a week. Bars. Boxes. Mats. Space. As it says - Room to Move. Led by tutors. Safe moving - vaulting; swinging; running; jumping. Great way to let off steam, build confidence, build strength, develop balance, build stamina and socialise with others. Applaud this opportunity for youngsters.

Fantastic experience: I booked a beginner's session here and tried parkour for the first time, and I had a great amount of fun. We covered a surprisingly broad amount of concepts and skills in the span of just an hour, the instructor was very friendly and engaging, and I was constantly moving on to learn something new without feeling either like I'm falling behind or like I'm having to push myself. Price was exceptionally reasonable as well.

Fantastic experience: This was my first experience of Parkour and it was great fun! Adam was friendly and he talked us through different ways of moving over obstacles which were easy enough for a beginner but challenging enough to make it engaging. I would love to go every week but unfortunately I was just visiting Edinburgh for a few days. I will definitely book up again next time I'm back in town. Can't recommend it enough.

Fantastic experience: I take my son, he loves it, I took part in a parents session, shouldn't have with a dodgy knee but thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the training will certainly give you a great cardio and leg work out. Instructors are easy to get along with and do watch out for you. Definitely worth trying

Positive experience: First session for my son aged 7, Adam the instructor was great. Venue was ideal for what the kids need and my son really enjoyed the class and will be back again next week!

Positive experience: The venue itself is good, not particularly big, but big enough to run around, with a large open floor space and an obstacle/swing bar area. When dropping off (kids) the waiting/reception area is quite small and easily gets crowded. The entrance has a a few steps to a door followed by a short narrow passage. With access to toilets and the main workout space. Staff are good and the under 8 class respond well to them. Their approach is a little military when dealing with them, but in a well structured, firm but friendly manner. The website for booking classes is clear and easy to use. Alternatively calling up and booking or amending a booking is easy and staff are friendly and helpful. Payment is either online or with a card paypoint or cash. There is a set of shelves with large pigeon holes with enough room for a jacket and a water bottle for anyone attending class,and a small couch for those watching/waiting during the class, though parents and carers are encouraged to drop off and return for pickup due to the very limited waiting space. My 6 year old and his friends love the actual class and with a reasonable price of £8 pp for under 8 (£12 under 12) i would recommend it for any kids that enjoy being physical active. (Note: The class currently is primarily boys)

Fantastic experience: We had our son's 6th birthday party there and it was great. Very engaging and inclusive introduction to Parkour. Space is great and Nina was amazing with the children, keeping them interested, entertained and safe. Also, plenty of parking on the back. We totally recommend it

Fantastic experience: This place is more than a gym and a workout. It's a fun community of awesome and eccentric folks. Aldo, the training and coaches are all world class.

Positive experience: I had my friend's 18 year old staying with me for a few days and wanted something fun for them to do. All booked up and arrived at the meeting place. The website states, "We meet outside the Parliament building in the open grassy area beside the Parliament". For those of us who have never been here before, the grassy area is massive, with many groups of people, small and large. We had no idea which group to approach. I called the phone number on the website for help. Only a recorded message saying they're closed on a Sunday. Instructor was found but only by complete chance. I left to park my car and came back but couldn't find them as they'd gone elsewhere so was unable to watch and very disappointed. ☹️. Teenager said they loved it though. Would be very helpful if instructor's phone number was given out on booking email. Either that, or more detailed instructions where to meet, or instructor carrying large neon sign or Google maps photo with a big x.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic session for a 5 year old who is often reluctant to get involved. He loved it and is looking forward to playing games on the assault course again. The instructors were friendly and encouraging, and kept the kids engaged.

Fantastic experience: Used room to move for my sons 11 bday. Very easy to organise, activities were age appropriate. My son and his friends had a great time and were puffed out at the end. Thank you very much for making the party fun and engaging.

Fantastic experience: Our son comes here every week for Parkour class and loves it. The building is run on a budget, but it’s kept clean, and the staff are friendly, attentive, and are great with the kids. They run parkour classes, but also a whole range of other classes too.

Fantastic experience: My 2 boys Sam and Fraser enjoy the class and it gives them a good workout too, physically and mentally. Instructors are engaging and keep them focused. Well done!

Fantastic experience: Run by Access Parkour and also home to Freedom of Flight Aerial as well as a place for circus, acro, and professional training. Room to Move is a large space with a big scaffold and plenty of parkour equipment I cant name. I take aerial hoop with Angela and static cloud with Caitlin and highly recommend both. First parkour class (i think) is free. Aerial tasters are on for £10 if you want to try your hand at circus. This is my happy place.

Fantastic experience: I have only Ben for a visit and I'm only 11 and I can do a lot of thing I can frontflip gainer front gainer backflip all sorts of stuff I'm also used to the streets for parkour so this will be a big change once I start training here love it
