Fantastic experience: Body Happy gym is a welcoming and safe space for all bodies. My experience has been that gyms have always had a predatory undercurrent. Training at Body Happy is a completely different experience and one that I value and am so happy to have found. It is clean, the equipment is easy to use and well maintained and the staff are always happy to help.

Really helpful staff, great equipment and lots of space, and everyone I meet there is really friendly too. Went to my first class the other day (circuits) and will go back to that and try some of the others too.

And the clientele are totally cool for a relaxed vibe that is more play-in than workout. There's a big idea behind the gym that eclipses anything I've seen before. Fantastic experience: Body Happy Lewes isn’t a regular gym; it’s much MUCH better than that. If you’re looking for somewhere to help get you fit but you’re put off by the idea of joining a big-chain gym then I strongly recommend you check out Body Happy and have a chat with one of their friendly staff. This is a great place to train for all ages and abilities and the staff are always really friendly and helpful. The equipment is amazing and it’s just a nice place to be.

Fantastic experience: When Body Happy Lewes first opened, I took it as a sign from a higher power to do something I'd previously been reluctant to: join a gym. The facility is the first thing I see as I leave my flat so dismissing my cynically lazy inner voice and getting a membership was the one of the best and most rewarding choices I have made in some time. From the first time I walked in to inquire about the new set-up, I was made to feel at ease and welcome. Mark was clear, authoritative and fielded my no doubt annoyingly basic questions with good grace and forbearance. This has set the tone for my interactions with every member of staff I've been lucky enough to encounter since. Owing to work commitments, I started off in the earliest 7-8 slot. As I huffed and puffed on treadmills and bikes trying to build up my sketchy fitness, I was struck, on a daily basis, by how professional, pleasant and patient every staff member was. That they were able to give me and other members such a warm welcome at that time in the morning is to their great credit. They're either really fine actors or genuinely committed to what they do and the local community they serve. I could go on. Suffice to say, however, Body Happy Lewes has made me feel at home in an environment (a gym) where I never thought I could be. I have benefited enormously from PT sessions which have allowed me to both clarify and set my own exercise goals. Nothing ever seems too much bother for the staff and I say this as someone who must have tested their resolve on more than one occasion. As Lewes residents, we are incredibly fortunate to have this wonderful facility and team of entirely dedicated professionals on our doorstep. I can't praise Jenny and the team highly enough. Thank you for doing what you do and please - don't go changing!

Highly recommend the classes. The equipment is amazing and easy to use. A genuinely positive environment to work-out in. Fantastic experience: I joined Body Happy at the beginning of August because of serious back pain and I love it. Not only am I getting fitter but my pain is more manageable. The staff are really helpful and friendly, it has more of a family atmosphere rather than a gym.

Fantastic experience: If you think 'the gym' is a daunting place you have never been here - there are smiles, laughter and genuine desire to get you to exactly where you want to be. There is no pressure but a complete understanding that we start at different points and our goals are varied. There is a simple booking system, structured memberships and connectivity to keep you up to date on your fitbit or apple watch etc.

Fantastic experience: I just love Body Happy. Quite unlike any gym I have been to. The whole ethos is about "being good to your body" rather than "beating it into shape". It is about wellbeing and doing the best for yourself. This ethos runs through everything - the relaxed, friendly atmosphere, the decor, the absence of pumping music and TVs. The team are super friendly and supportive. As another reviewer says - it's a gym that you want to go rather than one you feel you ought to go to - to create this atmosphere is quite an achievement! Fantastic experience: Truly the best gym I've ever been a member of, and certainly the first I've felt motivated to keep going to ! The whole experience is unlike any other gym I've tried. The facilities are outstanding and Jenny and her team are consistently welcoming, incredibly warm and friendly and always encouraging, and you really feel supported. They take a genuine interest in you and your health and fitness goals. The e-gym equipment is impressive; so easy to use with a touchscreen card which automatically and quickly sets up weights/positions unique to you. It's very sophisticated so you can be sure your technique is correct and you are making progress. Their response to adjusting to covid regulations has been confident and I feel very safe; the online classes option are excellent too and also offer variety for those who have to be at home. Really wish this gym every success in what has been a challenging time to establish a business with covid.
