Tabaka Fitness - Personal Training, Health and Fitness, Nutrition, Thai Yoga Massage, Acroyoga and Dance (Bachata) teaching. My name is Jan Tabaka. I'm the owner of Tabaka Fitness for 12 years now. I provide a wide range of services to help any client feel and get better, whether it is through life coaching or Thai massage or to have more joy from taking regular physical activity, learn a skill (weightlifting, acroyoga or dance) or help them achieve a stunning body and mind transformation (weight loss, muscle gain, back/neck/shoulder pain relief) or feeling like a superhuman ready to take on the tasks of everyday life without stress and worry. I do private teaching and group sessions, ready to tailor the approach that is best for you.

Fantastic experience: Excellent trainer and great person to guide you on your way to building strength. I was already quite fit from yoga and cycling, but I was lacking strength and there was some/considerable room for improvement in the physique department . Jan gave me an excellent initiation into strength training. First by showing me basic outdoor exercises with TRX and bands, which I can now do as part of my home exercise. Then in a gym (once restrictions eased) with machines and weights. What I liked most about Jan is his obsession with the importance of form and focus, both in terms of progress and safety. Jan also showed great judgement in knowing when I was ready to move to the next step, never too early or too late. This doesn't mean he didn't push me hard, he did!!! After 8 weeks of working out with Jan, I noticed considerable improvement in both my physique and level of strength. Even now at home, I am able to knock out several sets of pulls ups and push-ups (before I could barely do any, at least properly). Finally, Jan is a really fun and interesting person to work out with (well as long as I am not getting distracted when I should be focusing on the exercise )

Fantastic experience: My partner and I took a few Acroyoga classes with Jan. It was perfect for us as he allowed us to try different kinds of moves and a variety of poses making it challenging, but mostly fun! He gives really good tips to help you perfect the pose and stay in the most difficult poses. Jan has a super great attitude and makes you feel part of the group immediately. I left each class full of energy!

Fantastic experience: When I started training with Jan, i wanted to loose some fat weight and gain muscle in 6 weeks i could see the progress. He is professional, patient and not only that is now a FRIEND, we had nice moments and shared activities after training and i know anytime can contact him and have a conversation in the meantime we do some trainging together or just over a beer. I trully recommend Jan and his bussiness to anyone who whats to enjoy a nice time, get the drill the drill and workout :)

Fantastic experience: I have started Acrobatic Yoga with Jan, having zero experience, I was just curious. Fantastic experience: I had a couple AcroYoga classes with Jan as a complete beginner myself. He showed me great progressions to accommodate my flexibility issues, communicated everything in a very clear, precise manner and made the process fun. Couldn't recommend it more!

Fantastic experience: I hired Jan as a personal trainer because I wanted to improve my upper body but always found the gym boring and difficult to keep up. Jan made gym work interesting because he explained what we were trying to achieve with each exercise and because he makes you to them correctly, I soon saw the results of my training. The marked improvement in my posture and department was noted on by friends. I heartily recommend him!

Fantastic experience: I went in for a body composition assessment, and Jan helped me whip myself back into shape! I lost almost 8% body fat over a course of 10 weeks, and have never felt better - it's amazing to fit into my old clothes again! :) He's very good at keeping you motivated and accountable and giving personalised guidance on your eating habits in a way that's sustainable, and not just a fad diet. Would recommend to anyone struggling to keep a healthy lifestyle!

Fantastic experience: Went here to learn exercises for improving my posture. Within literally a few weeks (2 massages and 1 training) I'm feeling the best I have felt in years! Jan is extremely helpful - building the strength in my back and core muscles slowly and gradually week by week.

Fantastic experience: I had a Thai massage with Jan and came out feeling like a new person. He has a fantastic understanding of the body and how to use the techniques safely while still getting great results. He is very professional, friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout. Fantastic experience: Had a pleasure of trying Jan's traditional Thai massage. I have tried many other ones from other professionals so can honestly compare & give an objective feedback of my overall experience with Jan. I honestly could feel the difference on the next day. Felt much better. Jan knows what he is doing, and was very attentive & professional during the session. Would highly recommend, especially if you suffer with some deep muscle pains & look for a treatment which will last longer.

Fantastic experience: I have been trained for 3 months with Jan. I found it's a totally new experience because I never been to a personal training sessions ever. I noticed myself improved a lot after been training. I am able to do higher intensity workout and I also loosing my weight after my training session. Jan is a lovely and approachable trainer. He always challenges me to put more effort in exercising and keeping fit. I learned how to use some exercising machines which I didn't used in the past and also learned different quick high intensity exercises that can be done in a circuit, which includes high knee, burpees, ice-skating, lunges etc. Overall, I enjoyed myself during the training sessions with Jan.

Fantastic experience: I went to Jan for some direction in my training goals and to have a body fat analysis assessment. I would consider myself to be fit-ish with good core strength but I have plateaued in certain areas and needed 1:1 support. I had 3 sessions, the first for the assessment and nutrition advice and the second 2 were specific work out sessions. What I learnt in those 2 sessions has changed the way I position my body in exercise for maximum effect and for physical health. It has also made me more aware of how I hold myself on an everyday basis; at work etc. Since applying this knowledge, I eat and train in a much better way and I am already noticing the effect, only 2 weeks after the last session.

Fantastic experience: I trained with Jan for four months and achieved results that I did not think would be possible. I stuck to the Exercise regimes that Jan set up for me which were cardio and weights and to my surprise I actually enjoy dead lifts. This combined with his dietary advice has resulted in me loosing 28lbs over a period of 10 months. If you want to achieve weight loss - fitness goals, you don't think you are capable of on your own, then Jan is the trainer for you. He is totally focused, enthusiastic and committed to getting the best out of his clients. With his vast knowledge he will encourage you, show you how to use gym equipment properly, make sure you are doing the required exercise correctly to get the most benefit and to prevent injury. He will also push you to your limits with "gently" persuasion with out you realising. He has such a pleasant manner that you don't want to let him down and this strength carries through to present day. Fantastic experience: After years of hitting a “brick-wall” and the weight slowing piling on, I eventually came to realisation that I needed a good kick up the ar$e! Jan achieved this for me. I was very keen to be introduced to “weight-training” but I’m sure most people will agree that section of the gym often looks “out of bounds” for us newbies!!! Jan proved that with the right direction and encouragement, that anyone can deadlift/squat/bench-press an impressive amount of weight (myself included 95Kg Deadlift) – thanks Jan :)! Not only did Jan motivate and push me to my achievable limits, he continued to offer guidance in form of nutrition so I could continue my good work at home. I am 2-stone lighter from when I first met Jan. I would highly recommend Jan – he is not only a great PT who will get you far - but a great friend! Thanks again Jan, Marie-Ann :)
