Fantastic experience: I was introduced to Jamie through friends and immediately felt at ease discussing my gym habits and fitness goals. He helped me to develop a programme which enabled me to achieve my dream body for my wedding. The gym is in a convenient location and is always clean and welcoming. I felt fully supported throughout my fitness journey with help from the super efficient app and would highly recommend his services. Thanks again, Jamie!
Fantastic experience: London Marathon training and more !! I have been training with Jamie over the past several years and especially when I wanted to focus on training for my first marathon. My initial objective was to complete the London marathon without injuries - Jamie not only helped me achieve this, but also helped me improve my PB's. I have already completed 2 marathons with his training and have never felt more optimistic for what lies ahead. Clearly, Jamie and Jonno are experts in this field and are passionate about making everyone stronger and fitter. There is also a sincere drive to build a true community spirit in this setup. Can't recommend enough - a hidden gem in London / UK.
Fantastic experience: The best performance gym hands down! I’ve been training at Perma since it opened and it’s been a real game changer for me. Jamie has coached me through injuries..to getting into the best shape I’ve ever been in..and maybe most importantly he’s instilled some real confidence in me. The gym is welcoming, inclusive and fun and I wouldn’t train anywhere else !
Fantastic experience: I’ve been training with Perma Performance for a few years now and I can say it is the best training facility I have ever come across. Not only are they incredibly knowledgable in what they are doing, they show a genuine care and interest in your goals. Taking exercising at your own pace as well as pushing you to the best you can be. Not only have I become fitter I have a genuine understanding in what I am doing when it comes to exercise and how it is improving my health, Physically and Mentally. I can’t recommend them enough. There isn’t anything else out there that can even compare to Perma Performance.
Fantastic experience: Followed Jonno and Jamie from a previous gym to Perma when they set up. Jonno brings the energy to all the small group coaching classes and can take our group banter and chat making it a fun social experience whilst ensuring we actually complete the training to our best ability!
Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic PT gym. Jonno and Jamie are both PTs of highest order with excellent Kieran joining their ranks. As well as their professional approach, have built up a very friendly fun environment with small group strength, weightlifting, running and circuit sessions running every week. One of the huge bonuses of my move to Kingston last year.
Fantastic experience: There is no one better. Both Jonno and Jamie are the gold standard of coaches (and I have seen them all, all over the world). PERMA is inclusive, approachable and most importantly you’ll achieve your goals whilst having fun and learning with each session. I can’t say enough good things about the facility they have built and the confidence and capability they have instilled in me personally!
Fantastic experience: If you are looking for the real deal Jamie is your man. No unnecessary extras or additional comfort. It might sound simple but that could be one of the secrets to sound foundations and further progress. Everyone can potentially lift weights or follow online workouts. The challenge is to master one's own mind and that is easier said than done! You can't put a price on having a coach that understand this. That's why if you are serious about wanting to embark on a journey of self discovery of mind and body Jamie is your man.
Fantastic experience: I have been training with Jonno for 4 months now to improve my mobility and cycling performance. Jonno is an excellent coach who has pushed me to achieve much more than I thought I was capable of. I have seen a significant improvement in my performance and this is enabling me to achieve my fitness goals. Highly recommended.
Fantastic experience: Jamie at Perma is the most knowledgeable coach I have ever trained with. Him and Jonno are also thoroughly approachable, fun guys who make training enjoyable. A year ago I had a ruptured MCL from running and an orthopaedic surgeon was looking like my only option. But with a very structured and gradual increase in strength training not only have I repaired my ligament, I am also a fully paid up #ladywholifts. Perma is a place where experience and knowledge are key - and it pays off every time. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Perma Performance has radically altered my training. I started after numerous bouts of personal training programs (all successful to different degrees). This time I wanted to incorporate my own gym work. To take responsibility for being mindful of the work. I see Jonno once a week and then follow 2 other sessions on the app created by Jonno at my gym. The app is easy to follow, forces me to be accountable and keeps me engaged by changing when I need. This has been far more effective than any other program as it means I am doing triple the work in a week while only paying for one PT session-and I am much more engaged in my training. The effects have been not only physical but mental -empowering. Above and beyond what I thought a “gym” could provide.
Fantastic experience: I've been training with Jamie for a while now and it's been invaluable - the level of expertise and knowledge combined with a really fun atmosphere is exactly what I need! He and Jonno have created a really special gym in Kingston that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone serious about S+C training. High point of my week!
Fantastic experience: I've been training at Perma Performance for about 4 months now and I have to say these guys are the best in business. After coming out of the last lockdown I felt sluggish and unfit so I wanted to regain my strength. Committing to the group training sessions, I'm now stronger than I've ever been with an increased knowledge in S&C. I'm really enjoying each session and seeing the progression from month to month.
Fantastic experience: Been training with Jonno for over 5 months and he has been extremely good for me. Tailor made programme (rather than just a formulaic one-size fits all) based on what I wanted to achieve, with his know-how integrated within it. Clear phasing of blocks of sessions which build on one another which also makes you feel like progress is always being made. Has a great quiet but assertive manner too and therefore manages to get the best out of every session without feeling like you're being pushed all the time.
Fantastic experience: Been working with Jonno and Jamie at Perma for the past 9 months, throughout my ACL/MCL rehabilitation. They are extremely knowledgable, professional and great blokes to work with. Their facility is fantastic and they have supported me during my long recovery, which has enabled me to make massive progression towards my goal of getting back to my sport.
Fantastic experience: If you are reading these reviews – you’ve come to the right place. I’ve been training with Jonno for a few years now and he has taken me through everything from improving my strength, cardio, wellbeing, and rehabilitation after major knee surgery. All that expertise, awesome coaching, and a cool venue – I may have had occasions where I have struggled to walk in, but never have I left feeling anything but awesome.
Fantastic experience: I have trained with Jonathan and Jamie for many years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Jonathan introduced me to strength training and because of his great coaching I’m confident in lifting heavier than I ever thought possible. I love the variety of each session. We lift, we jump, we hold. The set up in the gym is fantastic and has everything you could need for a great training session.
Fantastic experience: Great personal training and small group class gym. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and know how to get the best out of their clients. Really enjoyed my first Engine low class and will be back for me.

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic gym lead by a fantastic team in Jamie and Jonno. Jamie has been my personal trainer for more than 7 years and has managed to help me through a variety of injuries and malfunctions. Their level of knowledge is outstanding and their focus on the individual’s needs is second to none, whether this be for an elite athlete or for someone like me with just a normal everyday desire to be as fit as I can be. It is fair to say that I am fitter and stronger and more confident in my body’s ability than I have ever been in my life. The small group classes are also fantastic, as yet again, the attention to detail and the programme design allows for an observable improvement. With class sizes limited to four, this means that performance techniques are monitored carefully and corrected immediately where necessary. I cannot recommend this gym and this team highly enough as they help you get fit while teaching the best training techniques to achieve your goals
Fantastic experience: Jamie and Jonathan are two of the most knowledgeable (and nicest) coaches I've met. Their professionalism and passion for what they do is second to none and they've successfully created a distinctive Strength and Conditioning gym that provides first class coaching. I can't imagine training anywhere else.
Fantastic experience: I started training with Jamie with a focus on building my strength balance and power, integral to the success of a professional golfer. Not only do I feel stronger, my performance has improved on the course, hitting longer and straighter balls!
