Fantastic experience: Since starting to train with James I have noticed an impressive increase in my strength. The one to one service, guidance and advice he offers is excellant. The studio has first class facilities and I would highly recommend him.
Fantastic experience: Having decided I needed strength training to support my health and fitness in more advanced years, I came across James through my chiropractor. I really appreciate the individual focus, two way feedback, and attention to every detail, and I feel in very safe hands. Added to that the personal encouragement enables me to push myself far harder than I would if I were on my own! After only 9 weeks, I already feel significant improvements in mobility, strength and fitness together with much better mental clarity and focus in my opinion. Thank you James - I can't recommend your services highly enough!

Fantastic experience: You have to have a taster session or a chat with the owner James to fully understand the huge potential of training at safe strength. My core strength and overall physical strength is 8 to 10 times stronger than when I started six months ago. James is an expert in the science of safe strength training for people over 50 up to 100 years old
Fantastic experience: I have really found immediate benefit from the sessions. I started originally because of arthritus in my shoulder hoping that exercise would help, which it has but my overall fitness and particularly core strength has improved considerably. I am in my late 70’s and although James pushes me hard I don’t feel that I am in danger of any injury .

Fantastic experience: I'm a physical therapist and referred an older client to James because she had osteoporosis and as a result experienced 5 vertebral fractures. Although she recovered, she had lost a lot of strength and flexibility and was understandably very nervous about exercising for fear of reinjuring. She has been going to see James for about two months now and we can both see significant improvements in her levels of pain and movement. Every time she comes to see me she raves about how much benefit she gets from James and how much she enjoys the sessions, even though he works her very hard!
Hi Caeredwyn, thank you so much for this review it means a lot. The client in question is great to work with, very challenging to work with her issues but we are getting better at fine tuning the details and she has a promising 'trajectory' of regaining strength.
Fantastic experience: James is really friendly and the equipment he uses is great. I really recommend this for anyone who doesn't currently include strength training in their weekly routine as it really does build up strength week on week. As someone who leg presses about 3x my body weight I can confirm that it's suitable for all levels of strength and fitness.
Fantastic experience: As someone who hates Gyms and finds the Gym environment uncomfortable. Safestregth has allowed me in private to rebuild lost strength with a real focus on my physiological condition. Everything is focused on body and muscle science and what you are doing is explained in how it affects your body. Totally non judgemental and James has a real passion for fitness and strength which comes across in your sessions. Would recommend to anyone before splashing money and time on Gym memberships.
Fantastic experience: I felt the benefit straight away - walking more easily and definitely have more energy. I like the fact that the session is only half an hour and I can fit it in with shopping etc. James explains everything clearly and encourages me to improve without pushing me too far. At 68 I'm pleased to have found such an effective activity in the centre of Chepstow.

Fantastic experience: I am in my mid 60's and was becoming more aware of the need to improve my overall strength and therefore improve my general health. I could not stand the thought of going to a gym to be run over by the lycra clad hordes. In safe strength I have found an ideal solution. You work hard but in relatively short bursts and the improvements that it brings is quickly palpable. I don't dread the thought of going to each session and therefore turning up is not an issue. Its a process that I can see myself sticking with. I would recommend it highly, particularly for people in my age bracket.
