Community Development is at the heart of what we do; we run various projects to improve the lives of the people in the local community, including; health and wellbeing classes, cross community projects, youth clubs, social supermarket, community allotments, employment support and advice clinics 

We have allotments available at the Vale Centre, leased on an annual basis from March each year.  All are currently occupied and you can check out some of the great work that has been done this year by clicking on the Services tab.

We currently have a waiting list for the allotments so please drop us an email or give us a call if you are interested in being added to our waiting list. 

Allotments are a great way of tackling isolation and loneliness which has been compounded by the recent pandemic.  The group has a WhatsApp chat to keep in contact and provide help and tips for growing and also a seed swap and composter to ensure nothing is wasted.  

The Vale Centre is situated in the historic parish of Faughanvale, located eight miles east of Derry, on the main A2 route to Limavady and the North Coast, with beautiful views of the Foyle Valley and Donegal Hills
