Information about Queensberry Police Amateur Boxing Club
ST4 6PZ, Stoke-On-Trent
The Queensberry Police Amateur Boxing Club has been running since 1981 and has produced a wide range of national and area champions along with several England Internationals.
Queensberry Boxing club was like a second home to me. I made friends for life at this club and now my children go here as well. You couldn't find a better place to start your boxing journey."
If you are new to boxing and aged from aged 10 to 35, our beginners classes aim to teach you the fundementals of boxing, get you in super fit shape and only when our coaches think you are ready you will move to the invited and 'carded' boxer sessions.
When our experienced coaching team feels you are ready to move up and start to train for a boxing match, you will move to our invited and carded (registered boxer) classes. These classes are tough and will prepare a boxer for the ring.
If you are a female and want to start non contact boxing, our female only classes will be perfect. We offer 2 sessions, one for adults only and another for 9 to 18 year olds.
Boxing offers people huge benefits such as increased confidence, fitness and self- defence skills. Amd for that reason we created our future champions kids class. Suitable for children aged 5 to 9 years, our qualifed coaches will teach your children the basic skills of boxing, engage their brains and bodies with fun games and challenges as well as enourage them to work with others and make friends.
Parents, friends and releatives can stay and watch your session from within our Jubilee Bar. We have widescreen TV's set up to cameras inside the boxing club, so you can watch them sweat while you enjoy a cold drink from our bar,
The boxing club is located upstairs as you walk through the main doors, it is just to the right. But to ensure you find the right class for your needs, we created a handy guide, to help.
If you have the desire to get inside the ring and box competitively then our club can help. Our beginner classes on Monday and Friday evenings are designed to teach you the basics of boxing and to find out if it is right for you.
Competitve boxing isn't right for everyone, but the skills of boxing and the fitness benefits can be. Our mixed fitness classes or Ladies only classes will be right for you. They are on several nights a week.
These classes are non contact and parents do not need to stay at the venue. Children will take part in games as well as fitness and boxing themes exercises.
They will go over the different options and see which is the best fit for your goals. And don't forget, if one class isn't right for you, then you can always move to another .
