Fantastic experience: I've been going here for the last to years for the parent and me class, it's an incredible class on many levels, not only has it offered me to give my child skills of self defence and technical thinking, but it's also been a great bonding experience with my child as well. At first it seemed we were just learning various moves but after a few months seeing it all come together as a intuitive sequence and a genuine combat skill is somewhat mind blowing. His mum now has serious trouble trying to play wrestle with him which is both funny and great to see. Great family atmosphere, couldn't recommend it enough!!

There are 28 classes to choose from, they have classes for white belts, advanced belts, and kids, making it an ideal place for the whole family. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly and welcoming, with a great mix of high-level coaches who are always willing to help you improve. Beyond the training, Factory offers amazing recovery options like Whole Body Cryotherapy, Sauna, and compression boots. What sets Factory apart is their sense of community. They host charity events, social gatherings, and even have their own coffee!

As a beginner in my 50s I was a little apprehensive on my first day but was immediately made to feel at home.

Theres also a range of other belt levels in the advanced classes for those considering the gym with previous experience. Fantastic experience: Factory BJJ has been unbelievable for my three kids, training in Jiu-Jitsu now for over a year. One of them is autistic and absolutely loves it. The coaches (Adam & Leroy) are great with all the kids, creating a supportive and inclusive environment. My kids have gained loads of confidence since training and they are loving learning the best martial art, in the best gym in the North West!!

Both have ADHD, we had previously tried other BJJ classes, but nowhere felt as welcoming & inclusive as Factory BJJ. Fantastic experience: I’ve been training at Factory for nearly 2 years now and I really enjoy the experience. In particular, Adam (head coach) is a brilliant teacher - he explains sometimes complex information in simple terms, ensures that everybody has understood, and offers practical support where needed. Adam is a very encouraging coach and notices when students do something right - this supportive and positive approach makes a real difference. The gym is also filled with training partners with a similarly supportive attitude and I really couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Started the intro course in Summer 22. Quality of the intro course and included Gi is great. Progressed to the White Belt classes now and enjoying the quality coaching from Adam and Pete.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking to get into a form of self defence or martial arts then I would 110% recommend factory BJJ. Not only is it fun and a great way to stay fit it’s also great for mental health. Adam is an absolute amazing guy who will give anyone the time of day and not let anyone feel uncomfortable whilst there. Regardless of your gender, height, weight you won’t fell left out. Everyone is there to help each other and help improve one and another. The only thing I will say is if you are serious about wanting to do this you will have to invest a lot of time into it (unfortunately I wasn’t but my brother in law is now a blue bet in which he did in 16 months) But Adam will make sure you get there if you devote your time. Trying to get my daughter to go to the Saturday classes as I feel this would be great for her to let off energy whilst learning to defend herself.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been at Factory for I think, about 12 years! The culture is fantastic catering for all types of individuals whichever mindset you have towards martial arts. The atmosphere is very collegiate and the group diverse. Needless to say, as a way to improve fitness and general health BJJ is on point. There are morning and evening classes as well classes on both Saturday and Sunday. The standard of instruction is also very high and is recognised by the peer group nationally and indeed internationally!

It can be quite daunting starting a new hobby/matrial art but Adam's passion and friendly nature shines through and makes you feel at ease. Positive experience: Good training space and typically the people who go are very decent, but the head coach Adam can be an antisocial nob. If he is having a bad day and you break a rule of some kind (like leaving an item of clothing somewhere it shouldn't be left) then he will visibly lose it and shout at you like you're a naughty child in front of everybody there. A lot of people have quit because of him personally. If you aren't very extroverted and able to butter him up then be prepared for occasional tension, or go to morning classes to avoid him.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member at Factory for just under 2 years now. I can honestly say that joining here and learning Jui Jitsu under Adam has been one of the best decisions I've made. Walking into an environment that is completely unfamiliar for the first time and learning a brand new skill is always gonna be challenging. But facing that and coming through the other side has benefitted my life across the board in ways I couldn't have expected. Adams ability to teach to all levels (even complete beginners like me) is top notch and the way that he is able to communicate seemingly complex techniques into easily understandable steps shows great skill and understanding. Ive always felt the support is there if needed from him, the other coaches and teammates.

I've found everyone super friendly and welcoming - especially as a woman training in male dominated sport, it can be quite intimidating but Factory is one of those clubs that just feels holistically inclusive. Fantastic experience: Deciding to start BJJ in your 50's is probably not for the faint hearted but right from day one I was impressed with the welcoming, relaxed and friendly atmosphere which allayed any concerns I might have had. The teaching is top notch and enjoyable from Adam and the other coaching staff too. Adam is always very approachable and willing to spend time to explain something or answer any questions I might have. I think BJJ is insanely good for you, both physically and mentally, and it’s been a fantastic experience for me. So, if you’re knocking on a bit and want to try a more fun and interesting way of keeping fit and staying young, I can think on no better place or accepting environment than Factory BJJ.
