Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym, old school in the best way and incredible staff.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of this gym for over a year now and as a female we are obviously the minority (for now). However, don't let this put you off. the members are all polite and friendly (and funny too). its an old school place with basic but very good equipment (and music). the staff are always on hand to spot/discuss technique and nobody is made to feel awkward regardless of ability. it is a family run gym and again, all the lads (and lorraine) are always on hand to help/advise/chat. my PTs with paul junior have been invaluable and I never feel awkward. his knowledge and sense of humour often get me through life. I'd go as far as to say that these guys are also my friends. this isn't something you will get from a commercial gym. I 100% recommend this gym. it is a hidden gem but one worth looking for.

Fantastic experience: Firstly, the gym has made really positive strides over the last 2 years. Much better kit, environment etc than in previous iterations. Love the calibrated powerlifting plates - makes all lifts feel more balanced and achievable. Secondly, the ownership team is top class. From entering (which I only do a couple of times per year when visiting family), they make you feel welcome and supported. Paul also has a fantastic knack for using your name, in a really authentic way, which makes you feel at home. Definitely think it’s the right gym in this area for people of all ages!
