Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this gym — it’s one of those rare places that just *gets it right*. The variety of machines and equipment is unreal, and the space is used so well that it never feels cramped or chaotic regardless of whether it is 'rush hour'. Whether you’re lifting heavy, doing S&C work, or easing back in through rehab, there’s genuinely something, suited space and equipment for everyone. The range of weights and specialist equipment made it easy to tailor sessions exactly to what I needed for my sport previously, without ever feeling limited, so if this is something you are looking for, it is still the place to come. The atmosphere is a huge win too. The staff are incredibly friendly, highly knowledgeable, and always around if you need help. I’ve made some great friends here because people talk to each other and help each other out, which makes training so much more enjoyable. The PTs really know their stuff, and the range of early and late classes are brilliant, with great groups that create a real sense of togetherness. Add in the comfy coffee area, super easy class booking via app, 24/7 access, great parking, and it’s convenience to get to and it's a no brainer. Great toilet and shower facilities, which are always so clean, so perfect if you like to properly cleanse and reset at the gym after a workout. Overall, a welcoming, well-equipped, feel-good gym that makes you *want* to show up. Highly recommend my friends.

Fantastic experience: I use this gym most days and have done for years it's a great little gym with high quality equipment. To have a gym of this standard in a small local town is great. It's a a nice community of people that use the gym and the PT Lucy is a true asset to them and her classes are fun.

Fantastic experience: Pride is a great gym, everyone is very friendly and I feel really comfortable there. Various PTs available if you need to book in private PT sessions. There is a wide range of equipment available and some great classes on offer.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, great equipment

Negative experience: I joined Pride Fitness in July 2025 for 5 months and struggled to settle in. There were 3 friendly PTs there that made me feel comfortable, but as for the gym owner and other PTs, I could be the only one training and they wouldn't even look at me or say hello. Even the cleaning lady who was lovely was more friendly than the gym owner. The gym has a good variety of equipment although it's a little cramped. I've trained in a few different gyms in and around Exeter before (Pure Gym, Fitness First, PFP, David Lloyd, CrossFit Pi etc) and never have I been so uncomfortable in a gym before. I really tried to make Pride Fitness work due to location, but have had enough now following an unpleasant experience with a staff member there. The atmosphere in a gym is a big draw for me, which Pride Fitness did not have whatsoever. I am relatively experienced in a gym and couldn't imagine how someone inexperienced, wanting to start out would feel training there. I won't be training here again and won't be encouraging my friends and family to go either.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic Gym, Great Equipment and friendly staff. August 2024 I came for a week to Dawlish on holiday and really wanted to workout daily. I was able to Purchase a weekly pass which was more than resonable. The Owner and staff where extremely helpful, and Welcoming. I used the Gym In the mornings and it had a fantastic friendly Vibe. The gym is fully equipped with machines and has a brilliant free weight area. I was lucky and had some time with one of the personal trainers Karl Roth and he gave me a fantastic Boxing Fitness session which definitely put me through my paces. I also used the Ice bath which was fantastic, very well looked after and much needed. I would recommend this gym to any one that lived in the Area and also to people that like to train on their holiday. The Have gym use and a variety of Fitness classes. Top place I would definitely return again.

Fantastic experience: Can't believe I've never been here before! Popped in to get some information on a specific class I'm interested in and WOW! Felt a bit nervous about going into a new gym, especiallyI think as you can't see anything of the internal spaces when you're driving past / outside. It all felt a bit unknown :0 But when I walked theough the white plastic entrance door to reception it weirdly felt like I was going to a friends house. It instantly felt friendly and not-so-scary. Then it seemed I was actually in a cafe and I was confused! Cake on offer distracted me even more and I forgot my nervousness about visiting a new gym. Was this even a gym at all or a cafe pretending to be a gym?! OK, past the cafe and the cake there was a gym with people in gym clothing doing gym things. I actually felt as though I might come back and try to do some gym things too. There's not much excuse as it's a 24hr gym with a snazzy facial recognition system on the gym door! For now, my first visit, I spent my time in the cafe.. comfy seating with a variety of spaces, a really good looking menu and good coffee. Long opening hours for drinks and snacks and shorter but decent opening hours for food. The chap serving was very polite and attentive. It was actually really refreshing to walk in whilst he was dealing with a customer but also be quickly greeted to let us know he'd be with us ASAP.. A* for people skills. I'll let you know how the gym goes if I get past the coffee and cake on my next visit!

Fantastic experience: Stopped in for a coffee whilst waiting for a sports massage. Really liked the feel of the place and the gym looked really well specced.

Fantastic experience: One of the best equipped gyms in the South West. More resistance machines of all descriptions than you will ever use and lots of CV machines as well. Great cafe on site offering coffees, light bites, healthy options, breakfast, and lunch. The food is excellent and we often have breakfast there.

Fantastic experience: I used this gym for 1 week while I was away on holiday & only paid for 1 weeks membership You are only allowed in on a weekly membership when staff are there, but that wasn’t a problem for me The gym has good equipment, lots of different weights and varieties Very impressed with my visit! The staff are lovely and there’s even a cafe for before or after a workout, including milkshakes, coffee and fridges items and snacks, like protein bars Very good, clean, well equipped gym!

Fantastic experience: This gym has every machine you could need to perform a good quality workout, The staff and regular members are all friendly and if your ever stuck someone is always willing to help out I find most gyms can feel uncomfortable but not here, I find it a very comfortable environment to train in, there is also a cafe which means post workout grub and the food is amazing, all freshly prepared. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone, even if just stopping by for the cafe

Fantastic experience: Wow what can I say about pride fitness. Visited whilst on holiday at golden sands, made the phone call later in the day which could not train as needed day pass & they leave around 5/6? first thing in morning I got my day pass for £7 even managed to get TNT pre workout Got shown around by very friendly staff made me fell very welcome gym has around around 5/7 rooms so your guaranteed workout ️‍♀️ even outside fertility which is bonus even stretch room. Cannot wait for another holiday so will definitely be visiting your amazing gym again very soon for another strong push

Fantastic experience: Gym seems nice and decent size , not used it personally. I have been and used the cafe on three occasions. It is friendly and welcoming and food has always come out hot and tasty.
