The center features an inviting outdoor heated pool, perfect for enjoying sunny days, alongside an indoor swimming pool that provides excellent value for recreational swimming.

Ashby Leisure Centre & Lido: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Great lido, heated but not that warm when we visited. Shallow end roped off. Good changing rooms and warm showers. Cafe on site for drinks and food around the pool. Reasonable prices. Parking free after 6pm Mon - Sat, free on Sundays

Negative experience: We booked for the outdoor swimming pool as it said we did book on the website we got there told us it was booked for indoor i didn’t even know there was an indoor pool so then we asked if we could just go outside since it’s was 30 degrees and my friend has asthma so it wouldn’t be good for her being inside and they got the manager saying unfortunately we cannot but then we said what if people leave we can take there place and they were trying to say no but then some women with her 3 kids said we can take her spot since she was leaving the manager wasn’t happy about that but we did anyway only had half on hour even though we paid 2 till 4 for 20 pounds but ending up staying longer because didn’t want to waste money so I wouldn’t recommend it here booked the wrong thing even though it said outdoor family swim staff were rude and unhelpful deserved more time she my friend had asthma isn’t good for her to be indoors so no wouldn’t recommend but the pool water is clean but quite deep and thanks to the women that let us use our spot if they see this make ur website better and actually help us next time

Ashby Leisure Centre & Lido
Fantastic experience: Although it took us some time to navigate the process of booking swimming lessons for my little one online, the overall experience at the leisure center was excellent. Parking was included with the swimming lessons, and we were also given a free swimming hat. The receptionist was very friendly and provided all the information we needed to locate the swimming facilities. The changing rooms were clean and offered plenty of space. My little one had a lot of fun during her swimming lesson, and the staff members were friendly and helpful as well. We are all looking forward to continuing our visits to the leisure center.
Thank you, Jermerh, for sharing your delightful experience with us at Ashby Leisure Centre & Lido. We're thrilled to hear that you and your little one enjoyed the swimming lessons and found our facilities and staff to be welcoming and helpful. It's wonderful to know that the parking and complimentary swimming hat added to your positive experience. We look forward to welcoming you back for more fun and enjoyable visits.
Positive experience: A well run gym with a good stock of cardio and resistance machines
Negative experience: The swimming lessons are horrendous, teachers not turning up and offered no money back or another lesson, too many children in the class and some teachers not even having my child swim for 8 minutes of a 30 minute class as they were too busy drinking their lucasade talking. My son was at level 1 for over a year, since moving him he’s gone up two stages in 4 months. Awful lessons, I wouldn’t recommend to anyone, save your money and find somewhere else.
Fantastic experience: Staff so helpful
Fantastic experience: Super friendly staff. Clean pool and changing rooms with extensive parking, lots of room outside although water slightly colder than other pools I have used, the cleanliness makes up for it.
Fantastic experience: Great place
Fantastic experience: Enjoyed the body conditioning class.
Negative experience: Attend for swim lessons. Ratios have been increasing since we joined in 2021. Now 10 kids per class in one lane. Just ridiculous. Everyone active are greedy and try and pack the classes to the max. Its such a shame this company took over our leisure facilities from the council. Changing rooms are always dirty and smelly, not enough seating for spectators during lessons , so you cant even watch your child swim with ppl standing up . Not enough showers either. Quality of teaching depends on what teacher you get. We have been lucky to get a very experienced teacher but now the glass sizes are so big the value for money isnt their. We started in 2021 and it was £22 a month and now 31, and its not worth it now.
Negative experience: Went to 2pm swim on a warm Saturday. No point in swimming there if you want to actually swim. People are encouraged to just float about randomly and get in your way if you're just trying to go up and down, life guards don't notice or intervene. Water felt pretty dirty too. I'm fine with recreational pool use and kids playing about, but either cordon off a section for swimmers, or say it's purely for family fun session and kick out the swimmers, but don't sit there and do nothing as kids get tangled up in people swimming crawl, because It's not safe.
Negative experience: AVOID THE SAND PIT IF YOU HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN Our son tripped and hit his head on the step of the sand pit, it’s far too high and extremely dangerous. Sharp edge steps should not be there, it’s a child play area! Extremely angry and concerned for the well being of my son, he has a lump on the back of his head.
Fantastic experience: Great pool, free parking (3hrs remember to register your reg in the reception) cheap too.
Fantastic experience: It's great
Positive experience: We play Badminton here on a weekly basis and love it. Friendly staff too.
Positive experience: Good gym and facilities. Opening hours aren’t ideal with 9-4pm opening times at weekends
Negative experience: Water always cold in the baby pool and adult pool changing rooms freezing
Positive experience: خوب
Fantastic experience: Excellent facilities
Fantastic experience: My son goes swimming. Excellent tuition.
Positive experience: Gym is excellent Receptionists nice and friendly man on desk is just bone idle rude tash just never has a smile on her face and always looks miserable
Positive experience: Lovely pool very cold supposed to be heated £5 to watch v expensive nice place but greedy
Fantastic experience: Megaslam brilliant
Fantastic experience: Best lido I have been
Negative experience: Just joined everyone active seems a waste of time I'm a bit flexible on times but seems like you are unable to book any lanes for swimming, bookings released each week and go straight away so essentially you are unable to use pool for swimming but have to pay monthly fee.
Fantastic experience: Been coming a few months now, we had a few questions and Gill at reception was fantastic and very helpful. A credit to the company.
Fantastic experience: Lovely place, really clean and fun place
Positive experience: I've played badminton here a few times now, courts are always ready and you get 3 hrs free parking I'f you register your vehicle. Only down side I've found is that the ladies showers are freezing cold and don't warm any, the longer you keep them running.
Thank you for your comments, we will look into the showers for you
Positive experience: Nice place to relax on a sunny day. Staff are friendly. However, a little unorganised to get into the pool. There is no sunbeds to relax, The food they offer at the canteen is really horrible and expensive but would not mind the price if it was little decent. I will go again
Negative experience: As usual, the everyone active website makes it almost impossible to book anything away from our home centre. A terrible app which the company seems unwilling to improve. A shame as the kids had a great time in the pool
Fantastic experience: Don't use lido but play badminton and pickleball regularly. Sports hall is fine, floor a bit pitted by wear but good enough for playing with no trip hazards. Staff very helpful. Changing rooms clean and dry.
Negative experience: Premium prices charged for budget products & service.
Negative experience: Emailed with a query but never received a response.
Negative experience: Reception Team should have a Beware sign
Fantastic experience: Clean and full of new kit. Pool is amazing.
Positive experience: Friendly staff, nice pool and very clean.
Positive experience: Nice outdoor pool with little cafe to get drinks and food. Will go again
Negative experience: 50 minute gym sessions that you have to book with no availability is a poor idea, 50 minutes is too short and that if you can even get a spot
Positive experience: Outdoor pools are great, busy at weekends and holidays!! Nice little food hut too
Negative experience: False advertisement they dont have any 5 aside football pitches here. Yet continue to have it on their website and app!
Positive experience: Okay but staff are slow at changing my membership plus don't keep you informed,it's been over a week! Still waiting but the centre itself is good
Negative experience: Very rude receptionist if your child has a disability prepare to be looked down upon! Sent in proof letter his condition states his medical problems and medication and said its not proof! A letter from peadiatirican isn't proof! Shown her my bank statements he gets DLA not proof! Abousletly disability discrimination and I'm taking this higher!
Positive experience: Trying to get back into the ap was very time consuming. You can't get through on the phone. Once you've cracked the system be sure to book well in advance as the outdoor pool can have just 50 spaces. Facebook is a nice touch but you can't book on it. Summers will only get hotter and Leicestershire is very short on lidos. Good pool though.
Fantastic experience: Good indoor pool and rare lido which is wonderful on the summer.
Fantastic experience: Nice.i liked it.nice warm water in outdoor pool ,delicious food
Fantastic experience: Can't beat the facilities or the trainers. Everywhere is clean and presentable x
Fantastic experience: Great outdoor pool
Fantastic experience: We visited this place today for the first time and what can I say very pleased with it was nice and clean food was lovely and that staff we’re great would definitely visit again
Fantastic experience: I take my little boy of 5 months to the learner pool just to get him used to the water. He really enjoys it and the pool is always warm and clean. The changing rooms have family rooms with baby changing facilities which is super handy when you have a baby. They are also spacious which is great if you have more than one child. Parking is also free for 3 hours if you use the leisure centre. Would highly recommend for any families around the area.
Fantastic experience: Great value and clean!
Fantastic experience: Wonderful staff. Clean pool and changing rooms although water slightly colder today than last week. I would highly recommend taking children here for swimming lessons. My grandsons age 20 and 42 months swim here.
Positive experience: Fabulous leisure centre, been going here since I was a child. They offer gym classes, court hire, swimming, and children's holiday activities.
Fantastic experience: Gave blood, good service
Fantastic experience: Great place to take the grandchildren
Fantastic experience: I only use the gym here but incredible value. For only £30 a month you can have access to everything at the leisure centre. Not only that, you're not tied into a contract and you can use many sites all over the country too
Fantastic experience: Great value love the outside pool
Fantastic experience: Inside you can find a swimming pool for adults as well as for children. New changing room, washbasins. Outside a large swimming pool and a new sandpit.
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, well.priced. The outdoor pool is heated and good facilities
Fantastic experience: Nice outdoor pool, free parking swimming for the baby.
Fantastic experience: Great facility for a small town and good value too
Fantastic experience: Really good outdoor pool
Fantastic experience: Clean and full of new kit. Pool is amazing.
Fantastic experience: Great Covid-19 measures and always polite and welcoming.
Fantastic experience: Better than hermatiage nicely refurbished pool is lovely and warm not freezing like Hermatiage nice pool nice facilities very good
Fantastic experience: Reluctant to advertise how great this little hidden gem is. On a sunny day there's nothing better than spending time in the outdoor pool.
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff a very good place to work out
Fantastic experience: Love it
Fantastic experience: Fun Place For Kids
Fantastic experience: Brilliant fun for family ❤️
Negative experience: Don't know. I walked past the building and it wants a review. Gotta try harder...
Positive experience: Great afternoon in the sun. Would recommend on a hot day.
Fantastic experience: Great facility for a small town and good value too
Positive experience: Lovely park, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, and gym
Positive experience: Well organised, very clean. Watched my grandaughters swimming lesson
Positive experience: Small leisure centre - sports hall very warm in the evening with no ventilation - well priced and friendly though
Positive experience: Good swim! Only a few people in the pool, so all good.. and yes there was still that one family swimming widths, getting in the way!
Positive experience: Hard to find any staff.not interested. Assembly of 3 bouncy castles & noisy workers & noisy pallet trolley ,very off putting when trying to concentrate on the game + basketball net hanging out over court usually tied back by piece wire .
Negative experience: Visited today with my son looking forward to a splash in the outdoor pool as very hot day. Haven’t been since before COVID was told you now have to pre book and that I could have a booking in the indoor slow and fast lane, everything else booked including the outdoor pool. Explained I had driven from Leicester and was unaware of the changes. One other woman in the lobby with a child. It was basically ‘computer says no”. I’m sure they will cite ‘health and safety’ but given the Circs they could have ‘been about right’ and just let me and my son in on this occasion as we had travelled so far. The lady said sorry but I don’t think she was that bothered or perhaps empowered to use some judgement…
Positive experience: Good array of classes but let down by inconsistent booking system and app. Limited spaces means you often have to get lucky and try for a cancellation. Good facilities but difficult to recommend a membership.
Negative experience: Not entirely sure why they have filled the little outdoor pool with sand, ridiculous move, it's only served to make the big outdoor pool even bigger. If people wanted sand they'd go to Skegness. Only saw one person in it for the entire 2hrs I was there. Suspect it is so they don't have to pay for the heating of another pool like.
Positive experience: Went for my first outdoor lane swim at the leisure centre, parking is free if you use the centre but remember to sign in with your car reg no. at reception but after 5pm it's free. At reception remember to also collect a paper band to prove you've booked a place and which of the two lanes you are using. There are cubicals to change in around the edge of the pool unfortunately the floor was covered in wet sand but since there's a children's sandpit at one end of the out door area the sand was to be expected. Would suggest you might need flipflops/sliders. Also in one of the corners there are some lockers to put your kit bag and or valuables in but you need your own padlock to ensure their security. The lanes are marked fast and slow but I found 20 people per lane too crowded and only after about half an hour did it become less busy. The bottom of the pool was very sandy, to be expected and the water was quite cloudy also it was a little difficult to see but the water was pleasantly warm. Would recommend a hat and goggles whilst swimming. A member of staff unfortunately spent time collecting litter, I'm sure there were bins but I didn't really notice them and clearly others didn't either. Around the edge there were also tables and chairs with umbrellas but if you wanted to eat and or drink you needed to buy the food on sale and not bring your own, not sure but I don't think this was available to the 5pm lane swimmers. Near the red lockers there was an outdoor shower station again the water was quite warm and very pleasant. The people in the lanes were polite and respectful. Would suggest you give it a go and make up your own mind. What a great local facility to have.
Negative experience: Shocking customer service. I brought 2 children with me, we've been twice and both times we were just ignored. There was no hello, can I help? Nothing. I waited until I thought, they're just not going to talk so I said excuse me? The attitude was like they were too busy to talk to me. I only wanted to know where to go, if they needed to see my confirmation and how to get through the gate. Isn't that their job? The second time there were 3 members of staff on the desk and still not a word. On the way back out, no good bye, have a nice day, did you enjoy your time? Nothing. Silence. Such bad customer service.
Positive experience: Water a reasonable temperature, pity about the wind. But this is England! Chips nice after the swim.
Fantastic experience: Love it here. Swam in the sunshine yesterday. Love the upgrade to the pool area
Fantastic experience: Warm and clean 25m outdoor pool, use it or lose it.
Fantastic experience: Nice leisure center with good gym and pools
Fantastic experience: Very good equipment; at 9 pm it was a good experience
Positive experience: Use the children's soft play area. Very well run
Negative experience: Disgusted how you travel there in the heat to find you can't get in as full ,,, they should be rules like swimming pools
Negative experience: Dirty pools indoor and outdoor. Dirty changing rooms. Dirty toilets. Could do with a good clean all over.
Positive experience: Very helpful staff but online system is hopeless. I think they're developing it as time goes on... Whatever happened to the concept of rollout and testing?
Positive experience: Out door pool closed winter indoor pool look good did not use facilities just viewed
Positive experience: Nice leisure centre. I use to take my son there to learn to swim then we would go to the park and the skateboard park after.
Positive experience: We went swimming today and the new changing rooms are very nice. However there are no family locker's that I could see and theres no hooks in the cubicles so we had to lay our coats on the floor which isn't Ideal, quite frustrating not being able to hang anything up and very cold for our youngest to put a wet coat on after a swim.
Positive experience: The recent gym update has been worth the money paid. Good equipment and in a decent please space. Haven't used the other facilities but I can say that some days the car park just gets too full and at times the gym becomes unusable due to the amount of people visiting in groups. This isn't constant or the norm but I have had to turnaround and go home a few times at 10am. Not bad though when you go 4 days a week and have been a member for 6 months!
Fantastic experience: Go to classes here every week. Staff always friendly and go above and beyond. Facilities in great condition
Fantastic experience: Lovely little leisure centre with the nonus of a heated outdoor pool
Fantastic experience: This castle has been ruined during civil war period. Here you can see the rest of ruined building has been conserved very well. The entry fee is free that is great for me. Being a visitor should have the duty to protect those old objects and walk along these buildings to value their history. Also you can buy some souvenirs here.
