Market Rasen Leisure Centre

Positive experience: Nice centre, sadly no pool. Staff are helpful. Unfortunately the head office are pretty incompetent, we've tried twice to move my membership to the concessionary rate, but head office keep changing it back, despite the local centre providing my ID. Sadly the head office are hiding their phone number.

Fantastic experience: Nice and relaxed atmosphere, plenty of equipment to use even in busier times, very friendly staff, great value and plenty of extra activity classes, well worth a visit

Fantastic experience: My wife and I have been members here 18 months and our health and fitness has benefited significantly during this period following regular attendance and routines in the Gym. We also enjoy an hour's table tennis twice a week which is included. Six months ago we joined Mick's circuit training sessions on a Wednesday morning and are regular participants. He has to be complemented on his enthusiasm and variety of stands. In the period we have been going no two weeks have been the same. I have to say all the staff are very friendly and approachable. Overall good value for money, excellent facilities and a great team. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Good gym, small space which I quite like but as expected can get busy! A lot of amazing classes and deals on offer like HIIT, healthy aging, badminton, tennis and they host kids parties as well! Friendly staff, very welcoming atmosphere and well equipped gym

Positive experience: Been coming here for nearly a year and today I can honestly say I'm not impressed. The unisex toilet looks like it's not been cleaned in a month the gym has weights all over the place. Members aren't cleaning down the equipment after use or putting the weights back. And there's 4 members of staff on the desk chatting and not doing anything

Fantastic experience: We came to see Wind in the Willows due to enjoying the fantastic production of Peter Rabbit last year. We certainly weren't disappointed. It was truly amazing. We need more of this kind of entertainment in Market Rasen as Gainsborough is just too far.

Positive experience: We visited this centre for a look round. Nice big airy equipment room with a ground floor space for football training. Well laid out and welcoming

Fantastic experience: I teach karate at this venue, it's in a good area with good parking and the staff are helpful and friendly

Negative experience: Birthday party , never again.. no organisation, the party booker was let down with the inflatables.. the facilities for a party were adequate.. better places to book in Rasen

Negative experience: Poor customer service . I’ve contacted the gym on four separate occasions to get signed up as a member for myself and my son. Each time I’ve been told that the general manager will get back to me . This has been happening with no call back for 4 weeks . They clearly are not bothered about new members .

Positive experience: I have been a member of this gym since it opened, even through the pandemic when the machines were in different rooms and the leisure centre would regularly clean the equipment. The past few months since all the machines are back in the one room and more people are attended there has been hardly any staff monitoring the gym which means people are messing around or just standing on equipment (in a gym where there isn't loads of equipment) and nothing is being done about it so unfortunately I have cancelled my membership and gone else where.

Positive experience: Love this place (would be perfect if it had a pool ) I use the gym 2 or three times a week and have lots of fun at walking cricket and walking netball. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Would recommend it to anyone of any age looking for a way to get fit and meet people.

Fantastic experience: Had our sons 4th birthday party here. Staff very friendly and would do anything you asked. The bouncy castle and obstacle course they provided kept the kids going for 2 hours straight! Great light facilities so when it came to lighting the candles on the cake we could turn them right down for a better atmosphere. Would recommend for a kids party

Fantastic experience: So far so good! Kind staff and clean gym environment the later obviously being quite important at the moment. Good variety of gym equipment with good distances from one another so not to inpead on social distancing. The gym has a nice setting and is easy to find at the entrance to market rasen. I can see the car park filling up quickly when at full capacity however I havnt had an issue so far. The gymnasium is a good size boosting cricket nets and courts with Astroturfed football pitches to the rear of the gyms exterior. The interior has large open spaces allowing for a good amount of ventilation and large windows to allow for a good quantity of natural light. This is quite in depth but I know that I was unsure on joining in the current climate and if anyone reads this review I hope it might put their minds at ease.

Positive experience: Well kitted out but where is the swimming pool that the whole village wanted.

Negative experience: When you've just opened up a £5M+ new facility, and in times of Corona with people struggling to stay in a job. You would think staff would be jumping through hoops to try and have you at their facility. But with zero response and after personally going into the place despite promises of "we'll be in touch" - doesn't quite cut the professional look, and I wont be returning or be recommending this place to others. Teething problems? Maybe.. Out right lazy and not doing their job? More than likely. Swift turnaround in attitude required at this place, as without customers, there wont be any jobs!

Positive experience: You can usually book court any time you want out of school times. The staff are polite and helpful.

Positive experience: Junior Gym does implies that it’s 12-15 year olds only but adults still go there witch is the only problem I have. Except from that it’s amazing! It has many places and ways to work out and my personal favourites are the treadmill and rowing machines! Keep up the good work

Fantastic experience: Our seniors Badminton group 3 times a week is a lifesaver. Please don't close it down.

Positive experience: We were here for a 5th birthday party. Typical school sports centre, well kept, plenty of room, parking very close and a coffee machine.

Negative experience: I was hoping to book in a session in the gym to day(Saturday) but your website says you are closed. I cannot understand how a Leisure Centre seeking to serve the general pubic can be closed all day on a Saturday-the one day when most people are most likely to use it.
