Our comment from FitFit UK about Everlast Gyms - Ewell:
Everlast Gyms - Ewell, located in Epsom, is a fitness center that has recently undergone renovations, enhancing its appeal to gym-goers. Users appreciate the new equipment available, which is considered a significant improvement over previous offerings. Many have noted the friendly and helpful staff, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere that fosters a sense of community among members. The gym also houses a swimming pool, sauna, and steam room—along with a good variety of classes, making it an attractive option for various fitness needs.
However, there are some areas in need of improvement. While members have praised the value for money, some have expressed concerns regarding the cleanliness of the facilities and the maintenance of equipment. Instances of overcrowding, especially during peak hours, have also been reported, leading to longer wait times for equipment. Additionally, communication regarding gym hours and operational updates has been criticized, leading to dissatisfaction among members.
In summary, Everlast Gyms - Ewell offers an excellent range of amenities and value, but attention is needed to address cleanliness, maintenance, and communication to enhance the overall member experience. Regular patrons appreciate the friendly service while recognizing the potential for significant improvement in management and upkeep.

Everlast Gyms - Ewell: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Brand new equipment. Good value for what it offers
Positive experience: The gym is much better than before, with new and affordable equipment; it just needs a cleaning staff.
Fantastic experience: The gym has recently been renovated to a high standard and is now much improved than before.
Negative experience: Was planning to go to the gym but it's suddenly closed?? Even though it's supposed to be open as per usual, if something happened,I get it. But to not even notify anyone through the app? How am I supposed to know when to go again?
Negative experience: I’m really sad to say this gym is terrible. The staff are never at the desk, management is always on their personal phones with them playing games round the corner away from customers. No one answers the phones or can answer questions when you ask them to help. They close the gym and pool early for ‘cleaning’ and kick everyone out. The weekend staff are the worst. I’ve seen them arguing, there is no professionalism. The desk area is so dirty and unclean and disorganised. Staff will clean around clients and will be hoovering around you as you use mats, equipment etc. Staff have sprayed down treadmills and I have slipped off - there is no understanding of health and safety. I’ve been down multiple times and they have closed the gym hours early without any notice and customers are unhappy. I went down and it had closed 2+ hours early with no note and alarms were going off in the building. The equipment is often broken, steam room and sauna never works. Such a shame as the PTs here are so lovely and helpful. Wouldn’t recommend at present. I heard it will be closing in November for a refurb.
Negative experience: Just got here to find it’s closed - no notification not even the professionalism to put a note on the door. Website says they shut at 6.00 pm. If you’re thinking of joining don’t waste your money. You won’t waste your time as they’ll be closed!
Negative experience: This Gym and pool used to be decent. OK it is old and tired but was cheap so acceptable. Now Ruxley lane (and Purley Way Croydon?) gyms have been shut down, it is awful. Massively overcrowded nearly all the time. You can barely ever squeeze in the pool for a swim. I feel sorry for the staff who were nice....
Negative experience: The management of this place is absolutely disgusting understaffed selling out of date items unsafe pool and when you complain you get barred dirty never cleaned properly
Negative experience: The steam or sauna is always not working. Terrible maintenance and staff tend to shut the gym down early some nights on their own accord. I won’t be returning, I’d rather drive further and go to a facility that’s managed correctly.
Negative experience: Worst gym group I’ve ever had to deal with - cancelling membership is a long winded process whereby support do not even respond to emails. Been charged for 2 months despite cancelling my membership due to the Epsom branch closure. Highly recommend anyone who wishes to cancel to simply cancel their direct debit with these ppl.
Positive experience: They has done a nice upgrade, still lots to improve in terms of a gym, but it's much better now than last year.
Negative experience: what a shame have been a member for nearly fourteen years and have found it very friendly but now seriously thinking of leaving in the past six months it has now become very overcrowded and the equipment in the pool area constantly out of action and now the gym in Ewell has closed down they have passed all their members onto us some days standing room only in the pool the changing rooms and showers have also deteriorated over time no investment into the facilities for a few years now
Negative experience: It is impossible to get through to any phone number. Support responded to my email a week later and Instagram responded 10 days later and both responds provided phone numbers which is not in service. In addition they even not don’t know what kind of machines they have and they fail answer to simple questions. Worse support service I ever seen.
Negative experience: Love to leave litter, out the front of your house. Explains the poor gym facilities.
Negative experience: This is terrible! They've merged another 4,000 members from Ruxley Lane and Croydon branches. The gym is now severely over capacity, and there's not enough equipment. Day by day, the gym is deteriorating, with machines breaking, the sauna and steam room consistently out of order, and dirty changing rooms. They shut down the jacuzzi a few months ago. It's absolutely not worth joining. Be very careful, even not worth it to give them 1 star.
Positive experience: It’s a shame the Banstead road gym doesn’t have enough spaces for deadlifts, or hip thrust or any leg day really. Only 1 soft box, benches are taken up all the time. Hardly any barbells free. It’s a clean gym - way to many cardio machines.
Negative experience: A beautiful gym in desperate need of some TLC. Please do something Everlast as this gym could be amazing and it is in the perfect location. My reason for leaving - one answer - its dirty. Unkept, unclean and not pleasant. This place could be a gold mine if the management could apply some decent cleaners.
Negative experience: The gym is so affordable for a good reason. Ladies changing rooms are very old and dirty, showers look and smell old and mouldy, pool and sauna area mostly grubby. The gym area is quite small for the amount of people and using any kind of equipment can be challenging and requiring quite a bit of waiting, especially when PTs are around, taking over almost all of them. Very poor management of this place. Decided to keep my money.
Positive experience: Everlast Gym in Ewell – where ambition meets just enough effort. Let me break it down for you: The gym is packed with everything you need—except enough squat racks or deadlift space to avoid giving side-eye to the person taking forever to finish their set. Free floor space? Forget it—walking lunges will turn into dodging people like you’re in a game of human Frogger. For Hyrox fans, you’ve got a ski erg, rowing machines, but no wall balls or sled track, so you’ll have to settle for imagining you’re pushing a sled while pacing in circles. The pool? Warm and inviting… if you don’t mind some “extra exfoliation” from the gritty bottom. Think of it as a bonus foot scrub. The staff? Super friendly, like a neighborhood pub without the beer. Everyone knows each other, and if you’re new, you’ll soon find yourself nodding awkwardly at strangers who clearly have inside jokes. Steam room? Warm and cozy, but with a damp smell that’s less “aromatic spa” and more “wet dog that rolled in a eucalyptus bush.” The sauna is tiny; I skipped it because four guys were already wedged in like Tetris blocks. The changing rooms used to be nice. Now? It’s like a football locker room after a match. Broken lockers, filthy floors, and shower curtains that could tell horror stories if they could talk. A mop, a bucket, and a few gallons of paint would work miracles. In conclusion, the gym works. It just needs a facelift, a deep clean, and maybe a ghostbuster for that damp smell in the steam room. If you’re okay with a bit of grit—literal and metaphorical—it’s not a bad place to break a sweat. Just don’t expect luxury. Gym 4/5 Pool 3/5 Changing rooms 2/5 Toilet area 3/5 Shower 2/5 Steam room / sauna 3/5
Fantastic experience: Friendly local gym. Lovely staff. Swimming pool. Good choice of classes. Plenty of car park spaces!
Positive experience: Whenever I went, the staff was very friendly, polite, and helpful. They make me comfortable visiting them.
Positive experience: I recently stopped being a member, but I will list the negative and positive points of this place. It has ample free parking, the rooms are relatively clean, the staff is generally polite and helpful, it is a welcoming place, it has a pool and saunas (dry and steam) and they recently acquired new cardio equipment and some for the weight training area. It also has a space for coffee and leisure for children. The women's bathroom is huge with many lockers and hair dryers. However, the gym leaves something to be desired in terms of weight training equipment, especially leg training equipment. It also does not meet the demand, there are few equipment for many students. The gym is very crowded, it was a pain to go to work out and you spend hours waiting for a piece of equipment to be freed (not to mention the clueless students who stay on their cell phones and forget to free their equipment). There is practically only one piece of equipment of each type and when they break down, it takes a long time to fix them. Despite having 2 saunas, they are tiny and one of them broke down and has not yet been fixed. With the arrival of new equipment, there was no space left to even stretch out. However, as not everything is perfect, it offers excellent value for money.
Fantastic experience: Easy to join, friendly and helpful staff and other clients. A good range of equipment some a bit scary for a first timer. After a break of 3 months easily organised, first visit back a bit of a killer.
Fantastic experience: I have just joined Everlast gym and absolutely love it. The staff are always happy, friendly and extremely helpful. One of the trainers was on holiday so the class was cancelled, but Farhann and Jesus tried their best to accommodate and try to do the class. They didn't have to this and they went way out of their way to help and they really seemed to care, so a big thank you. Also PT Zak is really great and I highly recommend you to have some workouts with him, he is fun and works you hard :)
Negative experience: Worst gym I’m EVER been to! Oversubscribed! Manager does not care for the customers, can’t get onto classes, pool freezing, steam and sauna dirty and they have the cheek to put the prices up! Avoid at all costs!!!
Negative experience: The ladies that work on reception are rude and moody, makes me not want to go back
Negative experience: The gym itself is ok and the classes are good but they are cancelled SO frequently and sometimes at the last minute. The app and website are also completely useless and don’t work most of the time. Management are known to be awful at this gym - I only go as it’s so nearby to me, but otherwise wouldn’t recommend at all
Negative experience: I have been in the gym 9:20 pm. And they didn't let me in , and in the website says closing time is 10:00pm. Sauna is broken most of the time, and the swimming pool not clean. No shampoo for shower , some showers out of order. The gym entrance from the road is very unsafe, as it doesn't even have a sign or lightning, not visible in the n8 for cars when turning in. I have mentioned, said, sorry no budget for sign or light.
Positive experience: It's not a bad gym for the price we are paying The conditions could be better, the staff are very helpful.
Fantastic experience: Great little gym at a reasonable price
Positive experience: Great place.
Fantastic experience: Me and my partner was booked in for a one day pass and had a great time thank you selina should be joining soon everyone on was friendly and helpful
Negative experience: This used to be a great gym but has gone downhill in the last couple of years. The majority of staff just don't care and are unhelpful and unfriendly. With regards to the trainers not putting kit away, the majority of them do tidy up after themselves. There are two PTs (older man, younger girl - don't know their names) who frequently leave kit all over the place and don't seem to have any respect for the space they are working in. The same two PTs appear to think they own the gym, frequently barging in on spaces others are working in or pushing people off kit they want to use. I find this really off-putting and think something needs to be done about them. Unfortunately, management don't seem to be prepared to tackle their behaviour and as such it is incredibly off-putting for members. I also find it quite concerning that they are allowed to post content on social media without consent from people - I have had friends comment that they saw what I was doing in the gym on social media and I really object to this as I personally am not on social media platforms and do not want to be. I'm sure this breaches data protection but once again, management do not do anything about it.
Negative experience: Gym is good and has decent equipment but the team running it are useless and don't seem to understand what people want/need. The personal trainers leave equipment everywhere and never put it back making the whole place looking like a children's bedroom
Fantastic experience: Enjoying my regular swim, steam and sauna at Everlast Ewell - always a lovely welcome from the team!
Fantastic experience: Visited with a guest pass and loved it. Great facilities and amazing staff. Would highly recommend!
Negative experience: My partner comes here for physio on a Saturday. I’ve asked if I can use the gym whilst she has her session and have offered to pay, but have been declined each time. It’s not even busy when she comes (11:30am) so I don’t see why it’s such an issue. Poor service in my eyes. Prices are high for a relatively small gym, and it’s a minimum 12-month contract. Better off joining a Nuffield for a little more money, or a PureGym if you’re on a budget.
Fantastic experience: Good gym to go to. I have a PT here called. Jo who is fantastic
Fantastic experience: I love this place. The fee is really good and the machines and personal trainers are pretty good in what they do. There is a swimming pool also however it does get busy after 1800. There is a small weights area which does get really busy. Overall I think you would feel great after a good workout
Positive experience: Great for the price, good equipment for gym
Positive experience: Gym is ok nothing special
Positive experience: Decent gym. Pretty standard tbf. No complaints
Negative experience: Dirty...steer clear
Positive experience: Overall, there is a great range of equipment for the size of the gym. The pool/spa area is okay but not great. Both the mornings and evenings are extremely busy.
Fantastic experience: Great aquafit class, shame its not on more often
Fantastic experience: Great equipment, but most of great people to meet up with
Negative experience: Never been there, will not go there, no where near where I live, they keep sending my mother ( 92 years old ) invitations to join even though I keep asking them to stop
Negative experience: Poor quality running machines, broken equipment (which you can expect to be broken for at least a week or so), often overcrowded.
Positive experience: Just joined and have ear infection from using pool 3 times. Water seemed merry from day one.
Negative experience: very rude staff
Fantastic experience: Just a nice gym with good staff and great members
Fantastic experience: The atmosphere of this gym is made friendly by the staff, PTs and most people who go to the gym. Equipment yes could be expanded but you have a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gym and classes for £30 a month and you always have a parking space! My only gripe is when equipment is out of order it takes ages to fix. Not one for doing reviews by seeing 3 stars and below is abit unjustified in my opinion.
Fantastic experience: Best gym for miles
Positive experience: Really friendly people and staff - nice indoor pool with sauna. But the gym is so small - during peak hours I’m sure you wouldn’t be able to get on equipment
Fantastic experience: Great basic gym, staff good, in need of some upgrading / repairing.
Fantastic experience: Top gaff, good kit, friendly staff, and the place is clean !
Positive experience: Fairly good range of equipment, pleasant atmosphere.
Fantastic experience: Nice gym beautiful natural park out the back which you can workout next to and go and sit and take in the scenery. Nice spa swimming pool and gym.
Negative experience: Nothing works, need cleaning and staff that care!
Fantastic experience: A great place to relax enjoy and get fit
Positive experience: I've just joined this gym for £35 a month it's definitely good value swimming pool steam room jacuzzi and sauna all included good gym facilities also
Fantastic experience: Everyone at the gym is very friendly and welcoming, I highly recommend this gym if you are thinking of joining!
Fantastic experience: Very friendly atmosphere. Equipment upto date. And staff very welcoming and helpful. Glad i joined this gym
Positive experience: Friendly and great personal trainers
Fantastic experience: Joined last month. Love it here. Great for students. Amazing value for money. Extremely friendly and helpful gym staff. Good facilities. Changing rooms are clean and showers are well kept. Great variety of equipment and brilliant pool. Overall 5 stars!!
Fantastic experience: Ewell.gym is nice 9n treadmill u can look out over the fields x friendly staff nice vibe there
Fantastic experience: Great gym great staff and atmosphere for the price I really couldn't recommend this gym highly enough
Positive experience: Good size Gym and swimming pool. Friendly staff and Plenty of free parking available.
Fantastic experience: Facilities are always clean staff are really friendly and helpful and never had a bad experience here best gym in the area
Fantastic experience: Great gym
Fantastic experience: Great gym, all you need for whatever your goal is. staff is friendly and everyone in the gym is approachable
Positive experience: Good value for money, friendly staff, good selection of equipment
Positive experience: Staff are nice and location with parking is good too. Atmosphere is good as well. The equipment is sufficient to train decently but could be extended or replaced with better ones. Overall it's worthwhile being a member of this gym.
Fantastic experience: The gym has everything I need, with a good atmosphere.
Fantastic experience: Brilliant afternoon
Positive experience: Great value gym
Positive experience: It's a good gym just needs a bit of updating very friendly day staff
Negative experience: Water dispenser broken especially in this heat is dangerous. The changing room stinks the steam room stinks of rotten drains the pool don’t feel clean
Negative experience: I recently moved to this gym from.croydon sports direct due to it being closed down . I left two La Roche Posay new creams Monday evening , called Tuesday morning the girl on the desk said no creams handed I'm, I drove over to the gym to double check the same lady said No creams found literally as her colleague showed me the two creams right in front of us at the desk. This left me very disappointed in the service but pleased I had got them back.Again, I left them in the changing rooms and I have come today and the same lady said no creams handed in . this leaves me left with no other choice but to change gyms again.in 5 plus years of using Croydon gym nothing like like this has happened , property is usually handed in , I don't think this looks like a place that people would steal from so I'm left very confused anf £100 down and have to buy new creams. If any one has found them I would be grateful to get them back. This member of staff was very rude not helpful and it was only myself, this staff member and one other lady.im very concerned by this.
Negative experience: Bunch of thief they have been charging me for 4 years without even recognising me as a member
Positive experience: Nice gym. Nice staff. Used 3 times a week
Negative experience: Terrible Customer Service I have been a member for several years since this Gym was LA Fitness, then DW Fitness and now Everlast Fitness. I had always liked the fact that it had the facilities, especially a Swimming Pool so close by. I tried to rejoin after the Covid restrictions were lifted, paid an initial fee by debit card (for which the Gym had a 'printer problem' so could not issue a receipt) and set up a direct debit (for which I was emailed confirmation from Everlast Fitness) and was given a membership card that day. From then on, every time I came into the Gym the card did not allow me through and I was told I had not paid or set up membership. This happened continuously even though I showed a Bank statement showing the transaction and the email confirmation of the direct debit. The Gym staff kept saying it was a membership office issue and wanted me to deal with it showing no responsibility for how the membership had been set up at their own Gym. Ultimately I had to recover the payment via my Bank, then wait 2 months to make sure no direct debits were taken. I felt victimised with the whole experience so did not try to rejoin. I really feel that Everlast as an organisation has not continued the professionalism of this Local Gym for long term members.
Fantastic experience: No problems, great service
Fantastic experience: Niceee
Positive experience: Good little gym everything you could want for the price
Fantastic experience: Excellent personal trainers and efficient, helpful and friendly staff. Well equiped gym and decent pool, Sauna and Jacuzzi
Fantastic experience: Great place
Positive experience: Generally good but the place is looking a bit tired. Glad to see they have installed a new sauna.
Negative experience: Awful experience, for me the worst gym chain in the UK by a mile! Tried a 6 months membership sold by the fact that there is a Sauna. After 2 weeks the Sauna was broken, the part was always on its way next week... waited for at least 3 months, ...couldn't cancel either (just try to call their main office, have a go...that's who you cancel with) and just never went back. Disgusting changing rooms too by the way too.
Negative experience: Excellent staff, but the gym is as big as a shrivelled up 1 inch..... All the gyms I've been to in wales are 1000000 times better, defo need to be upgraded or atleast charge there members like 20 bucks a month instead of 30......
Fantastic experience: Have just joined, and couldn't fault it. For £30 per month, you couldn't ask for more. Love the pool and spa area particularly and a good range of gym equipment.
Positive experience: Been going here for years. The name has changed a few time. Some of the equipment could do with some TLC but over pretty good. Everyone is friendly. Can get busy at times though as it’s a smaller gym.
Fantastic experience: Staff are very helpful, clean gym with fantastic facilities including a swimming pool, sauna and a steam room, also run classes intertwined with your membership!
Positive experience: Not a bad gym, quite a lot of machines in a small space, clean and looked after.
Positive experience: So far a solid 3. Warm welcome but lots of little things need attention. Broken locks on the locker. Showers not working. No soap etc. Sauna out of service. Steam room out of service. However hoping these get fixed and will update the review.
Fantastic experience: The staff is very professional and helpful especially the manager Emad. I just joined the club and I had few issues, he helped me from start to end. Excellent customer service,
Positive experience: Would be 5 stars if the sauna and steam room has worked since I've been there... gym is good! Good machines to train on like a free run treadmill and assault bike aswell as a weight platform and colours Olympic plates for deadlifts squat cleans etc.
Positive experience: General fitness area is quite good but the building and furnishings look tired and could do with a Facelift.
Positive experience: Great facilities Not too crowded Swimming pool is a plus in this gym
Positive experience: The staff are amazing
