Club at Langstone Quays Resort: Opinions
Positive experience: Been a member for about 2 years ( after leaving cos of cleanliness ) .....the cleanliness is just off the scale the showers and changing rooms are in need of a deep clean tbh .......its relatively cheap for a health club and never overly busy but jesus I'd rather pay a 10er a month more and see it clean and sparkling everyday tbh .......staff all good and helpful just don't get why they don't have a team of cleaners come in once a week or a fortnight and deep clean it .......if I was paying 180 quid a night for the hotel and went un there I'd be raging lol ......other than that it's nice
Positive experience: Gym is well enough equipped and the staff are warm and friendly. I generally use the facility for its pool (take the kids regularly) and find the pool decent enough. it's usually warm and while the hot tub is occasionally not available for use, the sauna and steam room are always available. The disabled/family change room is OK, although I rarely have hot water from the shower - been the case for months and an issue they are aware of. Membership is reasonably priced; certainly cheaper than others within sensible driving distance and the gym and pool are rarely packed with people. Some days the kids and I can have the whole pool to ourselves. Overall, happy with it.
Negative experience: Visited the club yesterday early evening. Swam, used the steam room and the jacuzzi. Pool and steam room perfectly maintained only issues being the jacuzzi seemed to have very high levels of chlorine to the point of my eyes burning while using it and a lasting smell in my throat and nose once leaving. Second issue being and personally the biggest in my opinion the cleanliness of the female changing rooms…does a cleaner work there ? If so they need further training or the sack. The floors were slimey and gritty. The walls are growing some sort of mould?? This needs addressing asap.
Negative experience: I’ve been visiting the leisure club for over 28 years which has really gone down hill and increased significantly in price recently. The sauna and steam room are way too cold, the showers are genuinely never warm which you have to constantly hold on with one hand - it’s is an insult for customers. The floors are very dirty including mould in corners of walls. The jacuzzi is often broken or closed way ahead of closing time, which is never communicated at the desk unless asked. This is all following shallowing of the deep end. Apologies for such a negative review but I am furious at the 50% increase to £150 13 visit for a ‘club’ which is lower standard that a typical leisure centre facility.
Negative experience: Hotel check in was terrible, i was left standing with arms full of bags & clothes while the receptionist booked an afternoon tea using her own group on account as she said it was cheaper for the couple. It was a complete nonsense. Christmas party was great but had cold water in the room all night (bath & shower) & the following morning. Water is the gym was cold also. Hotel not pro-active in letting us know what was happening & no apology or suggestion of reduction in cost when checking out. Ruined the whole experience of the party
Fantastic experience: Great place
Fantastic experience: Very lovely clean health club
Fantastic experience: Great pool sauna and steam room
Positive experience: Swam x 2 each day we were there. Not busy at 6.30 am.
Fantastic experience: Lovely gym, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Excellent health club with pool, spa and relaxation at Langley Quays Resort, Northney Marina.
Fantastic experience: Excellent staff and gym
Fantastic experience: Decent size pool for casual swim and relaxation. Sauna,.steam room and jacuzzi make it great value for money, especially if you take advantage of multi-pass. Changing rooms, lockers and showers always very well maintained. Also has decent Parking relatively limited directly outside but usually some spots available. Only real gripe is location to entry spur road right at end of the bridge with associated impact from traffic but it's a relatively minor inconvenience
