Negative experience: Used to regularly attend Revolution but the atmosphere has become so unwelcoming and comes across as toxic for customers going in. It seems that the majority of the good instructors have left and gone elsewhere. Classes used to be so difficult to get in to and now are very rarely waitlisted, which I think speaks volumes. Some staff members/management seem so uninterested when ‘welcoming’ customers and when taking the classes. Would absolutely NOT recommend attending here.

Negative experience: was genuinely looking forward to trying this Pilates studio, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We arrived 4 minutes before class, only to be told we couldn’t attend because it was our first time at this location, and apparently new clients are required to arrive at least 10 minutes early. Yes, the email had stated this but no warning was given. I explained that I’ve practiced Pilates for a while and wouldn’t need a beginner-level introduction, but was still refused entry. The staff member mentioned she had informed the instructor we hadn’t arrived 10 minutes early, and the instructor decided we couldn’t join. The interaction felt rigid and unwelcoming—especially given that we were early, just not early enough for their arbitrary rule. To make matters worse, my friend had used her class credits to add me, which were completely wasted with no alternative offered. Adding to the disappointment: my friend had purchased a block of 10 classes in 2023, but due to the tragic and unforeseen passing of her father from cancer, she was unable to use them. The studio refused to provide a refund or even partial consideration under such difficult personal circumstances. This level of inflexibility and lack of empathy is truly disheartening. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, this one made it very clear that customer care is not a priority here.

We’re sorry your first visit felt disappointing. For health, safety, and insurance reasons, first-time clients must arrive at least 10 minutes early. This is clearly stated in the booking confirmation and applied consistently, as we can’t delay the class or compromise the experience for other clients who arrive on time.

Negative experience: I’m a regular at spin and was excited to try Revolution while visiting Glasgow. Unfortunately, the experience just didn’t work for me. I found the strobe lights + smoke machines + the instructor’s excessive shouting quite full-on and ended up leaving the class early. The atmosphere might work for some, but if you’re looking for a more focused, less chaotic environment, this may not be the right fit.

Negative experience: My friend and I wasn't allowed to join the reformer class as we weren't more than 10 minutes early for the class, even though we have done reformer pilates numerous times before. This was severely disappointing as they wouldn't even re-credit us for another class, we did not know this was a requirement and we thought in the booking policy that it was only for first timers who have not done reformer before that you arrive super early. Even after showing her the email we got, she agreed it was misleading as it should specifically state if you have not attended a class with this company to arrive over 10 minutes early. We always arrive early however there was long road works just outside the south side clinic which meant we weren't there super early, this factor was out of our control. Will not be recommending this place to friends or work colleagues as they were not compassionate about misleading information and took our money, which these classes are not cheap, £18 a class.

To clarify, our policy requiring first-time clients to arrive at least 10 minutes early applies to anyone attending a class with us for the first time, regardless of their previous reformer Pilates experience elsewhere. This is in place for health and safety reasons, as well as to meet insurance requirements, and allows time for a quick induction and instructor check-in.

This information is included in the booking confirmation email and is part of the signed purchase agreement at the time of booking. However, we do take feedback seriously and are reviewing our communications to ensure this point is made even clearer in the future.

We apply our attendance and refund policy consistently across all clients to ensure fairness and protect limited class spaces. We’re sorry this experience didn’t reflect the level of care we aim to provide and appreciate you sharing your feedback.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Rev Spin classes consistently for a few months now and it’s my fave kind of cardio. Really intense but a good mix of sprints, climbs and upper body moves. The themed playlists are a fun distraction too! Caitlyn is always so welcoming, love her workouts

Negative experience: Easy booking system (star awarded). Unacceptably inflexible agreement with class credit, where the team were unwilling to exercise sensible judgement in the context of the storm this weekend and allow me to attend at another time (I live away and the 2 week deadline wasn’t feasible). This demonstrates a primary purpose of profit making over treating potential clients like human beings in the face of circumstances we can’t control. Really quite disappointed.

Negative experience: I paid 17 pounds to be refused entry because I wasn't 10 minutes early for the class, they didn't refund me or even reschedule for me. I understand not allowing late entry to save from disrupting the class but this is just piracy. The class hasn't started yet and they were so unwilling to help. Really disappointing experience

To clarify, our policy requires all first-time clients to arrive at least 10 minutes before class. This is not just about avoiding disruption but also about fulfilling important health, safety, and insurance requirements. It allows time for a short induction and ensures the instructor can check in with new clients before the class begins. It would not be fair to delay the start of the class for other clients in order to carry out this induction.

This requirement is clearly outlined in the booking confirmation email and is part of the signed purchase agreement. We apply this consistently to all first-time visitors to maintain safety, fairness, and class flow. While we understand your frustration, the term “piracy” is not an accurate reflection of a policy that is communicated in advance and applied equally to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Been going to Revolution spin since March this year. Not had a bad experience since starting. All staff are so so friendly on arrival. All instructors are amazing in particular Antonia and Kelsey. Always motivating me to do my best and always feel so physically and mentally better after the classes, I often go specifically for their classes and music themes. The atmosphere is always so good and the music and lighting in the classes are so motivational. Highly recommend !!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to revolution spin since February and just love it. I had been going to spin classes at other gyms and it doesn’t compare to revs! Positive experience: I’ve been coming here for 15 months and (majority) of the instructors are lovely and create a lovely workout environment ! The reason for 3 stars is their app doesn’t state which instructor is taking the class despite it having this feature. There is one spin instructor in particular who is militant, and constantly makes you feel not good enough, as far as I’m aware she’s the only instructor who gets off her bike to come around and check you’re going fast enough. I understand some people might enjoy this style of teaching, but I come to Rev as I enjoy moving my body as it’s good for my mental health - being shouted at for 45 minutes is not. It makes me anxious to turn up as I’m unsure if she’ll be instructing. I wish they would add the instructors name to class booking on the app to accommodate members preferences.

Fantastic experience: Everyone needs to go to Revolution. Really not a fan of going to the gym but I absolutely love the Rev classes. Never have I ever looked forward to any form of exercise, but I finally feel like I have found what suits me. Starting to see good results and can feel myself getting stronger with each reformer class. Would highly recommend to everyone. All the team are lovely.

Negative experience: Terrible service from both reception and management. Cancelled a class by accident, went down to see if the space I booked was still available, which it was but told I had to pay double for the class at reception. That was contradicted by the management and offered no solution or any ownership of falsely being advised. Reception staff were frosty on multiple occasions. Wish I had read the reviews before joining as very similar experience shared by others.

Fantastic experience: Southside Team Love the Southside studio especially my Pilates instructors Lisa, Caitlyn and Julia. Thanks so much for all your support in 2023, you are the reason I come back. Who would have thought spin would be my thing. I can honestly say I love it, that's all thanks to Azhar Thanks Azhar it's been a blast, roll on 2024. Negative experience: Terrible service, waited 40mins at the reception to be seeing. Scamming people through bookings to make extra money. They claimed they have terms and conditions on their website about bookings, coming late or not being able to attend a class which was a total bullocks as they don't mention much about alternatives if you're not able to make it to the class. Never going back to these guys and I would happily support my local business that does pilates reformer training way better than these guys.

Negative experience: Awful. Purchased a pack as a present however the classes never shown up in the app. I have then asked if they could look into it and they have now told me they have "expired" although theyve never appeared in the app? How can a pack of spin classes "Expire"? Absolutely mental.

Negative experience: Started coming to revolution pilates 3 months ago after getting to midlife and never having done any exercise and I can honestly say it's the best thing ever. All the instructors are absolutely fantastic, love it! Thought I'd update my review... Well when you buy credits for the classes you get a certain amount of time to use them, heaven forbid you run out of time as I found out. I had personal stuff going on and had to use up my 2 remaining credits withing the week. I had already booked 3 classes and couldn't fit in the last 2 so I emailed and asked if I could extend the expiry date by 1 week. The response was not what I expected, it was sharp, cold and with no compassion at all. They refused, so I made the decision that after spending just under £500 in 4 months that I would not be spending anymore of my hard earned cash with Revolution Pilates. Disappointed to say the least, that their customer service let them down as they have lost a loyal customer.

Fantastic experience: All instructors are good and you have a good variation of exercises. Great class with Alex, she didn’t just make you work hard through the class but got you to do a proper cool down at the end.

Negative experience: Misleading information about membership renewal. I was told by a team member on reception it wasn’t an automatic renewal. I decided I did not like it, as the equipment for spin is very old, so I wouldn’t renew. This month they took £60 out my bank account, I emailed explaining the situation. I was told it was in the small print, fair enough, however the response was cold and lacked any actual customer service - very disappointing!
