Negative experience: Hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had. Was my first time doing reformer Pilates and I was nervous and had no idea what to expect. Firstly, extremely dark and I had no idea what I was doing. Did not tell me anything about an induction when booking. The Pilates instructor Abbie was by far the rudest instructor ever. She told me ‘she needs to chuck me out’ because I missed the induction and messes up her insurance? Complete waste of money and waste of time. Never coming here again.

Negative experience: This place went from being the fitness equivalent of a michelin star restaurant to a McDonald's. Absolutely ruined by 1Rebel so cancelled my membership. Corporate garbage no better than a Fitness First bootcamp class. OLD REVIEW of Core Collective: The best fitness experience in the heart of London. Couldn't think of going anywhere else as the trainers are so AMAZING! Strongly recommend you check it out and feel yourself get stronger!!!! Core Collective have a great selection of classes with award winning trainers. Each class has been really thought out and they compliment each other so well if your planning to do more than one in a day - which is totally possible as you can easily find yourself getting hooked for example doing an early morning Cycle before work and Stretch in the evening or a TRX followed straight after by a Circuit. Such a great welcoming vibe and also friendly helpful staff on the reception desk with yummy food in the kitchen if you have time to chill out before or after a sesh. The team almost feel like a family.

Fantastic experience: Taking to writing a review here because my ClassPass review timed out! I wanted to especially say how wonderful an instructor Kha is. It’s the first time I’ve had a class with him and he’s one of my favourite instructors I’ve ever had. He had the most genuine, positive, kind, supportive and fun manner and put together such a well choreographed class with different modifications for all levels. He encouraged us to push as much or as little as we felt our bodies needed that morning but put all the things in place for the class to get the best out of it for them, I feel whether beginner or advanced. I hope he sees this and if not, I hope a member of staff can share this with him!

Negative experience: Blatantly rude staff. Zero professionalism and no respect for customers. Won’t be coming back. This kind of behaviour is unacceptable.

Negative experience: Very poor management and attitude. Only one person at reception before class — making coffee and chatting while five of us waited to check in. I ended up 2 minutes late, and the instructor refused to let me in, which was extremely rude. Lockers were also faulty which made the experience even more frustrating. This is nowhere near the standard of service or professionalism that should be provided. And no refund of cause, so it’s my problem their understaffed and lockers are faulty

Fantastic experience: Best 1Rebel studio. I have been to multiple different locations and love them all but this is by far the best. Erica and her team are warm and welcoming and always make me smile. Thank you to everyone there - too many to shout out !!!! ❤️ xxxxxxx

Negative experience: Very annoying and obnoxious front desk staff. Too busy dancing/singing and embracing each other than being professional. Feel like I’m disturbing them when asking simple questions and checking into my class.

Negative experience: No professional accountability at all. I initially wrote an email to provide feedback because I didn’t want to leave a bad review, but the response I received was dismissive and dishonest. Instructor Alex was rude and gave a false account of what happened, and the management’s reply only tried to justify instead of accepting feedback. I entered the studio early, so I was told to wait outside until the doors opened. When I entered on time, I was told I had ‘missed the induction’ and was asked to leave and reschedule. There was never any mention of a “5min induction” beforehand, not until the moment I was told to leave. Please read the 1star reviews to save your time because I am not the only one.

Fantastic experience: What a lovely environment to be in! The team are all so joyful and attentive to whatever your needs may be. Highly recommended doing the Reformer Pilates even as a beginner! I also want to shout out Erica who was incredibly helpful & made me the most delicious protein shake. Will definitely be coming back.

Negative experience: I was on time for my class and not let in because of their patronising policy of first timers (at 1Rebel (with dark rooms! Oh my! How novel), not at a gym) having to show up early. This was not clear at the time of booking on Class pass. Waste of a morning and 100% bad vibes for a Monday morning. Will not bother with this arrogant brand again. Class pass users go to all sorts of places and want variety not stringent rules and bad gym policies.

Fantastic experience: Best and favourite way to start the week - at Joey’s Reshape! :)

Fantastic experience: Great infrastructure. Showers and locker rooms super clean and safe. Great spin classes. The room is very cool! Similar to a boiler room, dark and buzzing with music. Wonderful sauna & ice bath. Very unique in nature: it fits 4 people and is very well lit. Optimal for chatting or quieter times reading a book. The ice baths are constantly pristine cold - that after about 20 or so visits. Never a flaw! Staff are very friendly. Fast paced customer support. All you’d want from a boutique fitness studio! They also listen to feedback and are forward looking which is very appreciated. Thank you 1Rebel for some great workouts!!

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with my experience at 1Rebel. For the past year, I have been charged monthly for a membership I have not used even once. I was unaware that the payments were still being taken from my account, and there was no communication or notification from the gym. When I reached out to request a refund, I was told that since I didn’t cancel my membership, the charges were valid — regardless of whether I used the services or not. This feels incredibly unfair and unethical. I’m still hoping that 1Rebel will do the right thing and refund the money charged for unused services. Until then, I cannot recommend this gym to others.

Fantastic experience: Nia’s classes are absolutely brilliant! Her energy is electric and her passion completely shines through in her classes. I really appreciated Nia’s attentiveness to the class. I would definitely recommend and I cannot wait to return.

Fantastic experience: The best class I’ve ever done – Ben Chips is on another level! I’ve tried so many workouts over the years, but nothing comes close to Ben’s class at 1Rebel. His energy is electric, his playlists are insane, and the way he motivates you to push through every second is unmatched. You leave the room absolutely drenched but feeling powerful and proud. Ben isn’t just a trainer—he’s a force. Hands down the best class I’ve ever taken, and I already can’t wait for the next one!

Positive experience: So I read all the negative reviews before I joined - and there is truth in rude front desk staff - but this is mainly at other branches - Oxford street and Angel appeared to be rudest (only around 1 person at each place) - just feel bad for them really - obviously miserable or wouldn’t act like that. Oxford street have some strange, moody girl who didn't sign me in when I did sign in - but they did give me a refund when I emailed. There is one main reason to join - ie: you want to exercise but don't feel disciplined enough to do it on your own yet.....this is really the only reason I signed up to it. And look into all options first ie: psycle, Barry’s, etc - psycle more expensive doesn’t offer treadmill class, in some harder to get to locations, Barry’s only offers the main bootcamp thing - so less choice if you don’t feel like doing that. It worked for me because I knew it would take money out of my account. I can now run for 10 minutes which I never have been able to do before. And lost 9+kg with no change in eating. High Street Kensington probably the easiest location in my opinion - they have enough sofas to sit on and you have whole foods, etc down the road. Things I don't understand are: why reformer classes are the most popular and they keep creating more reformer rooms than anything else?! Is it the gimmick of the sliding equipment(?) because it is not true Pilates - you also won't lose weight with it either. People would be better off going to a yoga class - but who am I to judge/know what goes on in minds. Other things are instead of having to speak to a person when entering - why not just use a screen sign in instead. Some of the front desk people are obviously putting people off… and sometimes - it's not that at all - some are really, really nice - you just don't want to speak to a person at that time. I'm not a current member anymore - but it really did what I wanted it to do.

Everyone knows how fantastic our trainers are, but the FOH team is an absolutely amazing group of individuals who go above and beyond to make every member feel welcomed in the club. Over the years, the FOH team has become like friends to me, and I genuinely think of them as part of my support system in life. They are that incredible! Erica, you are the soul of the club—always warm, helpful, funny, and spot-on whenever needed. Very mindful, very demure :) Martha, you are my personal angel at 1Rebel! I always enjoy our chats, and your help with everything is so appreciated. You are the friendliest person, and I admire your confident and healthy outlook on life! Jack, thank you so much for always doing your best to make members feel cared for. You are an awesome person with a warm attitude, crisp style, and a fantastic personality. Negative experience: 1Rebel is an absolute disaster. For four weekends in a row, my account has been locked and blocked, preventing me from booking classes. Despite paying a hefty membership fee, I’m unable to access the services I’m entitled to, and by the time the issue is resolved, all the classes are fully booked. To make matters worse, today I was charged five separate "no-show" fees for classes I either attended or was waitlisted for. This is blatant theft and completely unacceptable. For a gym that markets itself as premium, 1Rebel fails miserably in providing even basic customer service or operational competence. Repeated technical failures, fraudulent charges, and zero accountability this is not the experience anyone should have to endure. Avoid this place at all costs. It’s a waste of money and time, and they clearly have no regard for their paying customers.

Negative experience: This used to be the Go-To place under the brand core collective. Once it got acquired, all the quality instructors left them and classes became dull and less effective. Although less daily classes are offered, spinning classes in particular are mostly empty and lack the enthusiasm and science. Also the machines in general are not kept well and many have defects or need maintenance. Start overall are less friendly and lack the community feel C/C had. Too bad, C/C was the best place in town, now under 1Rebel it is mediocre at best.

Fantastic experience: Always a delight from the moment I walk in, coachers to front of hours are great and I always leaving feeling inspired and sweaty!!

Negative experience: Terrible air quality and dust everywhere. Dry air.. I guess it’s dark for a reason. If you get a sore throat it’d probably be because of that. Also fix your microphone issue.. Very unpleasant if you’re under the speaker.

Negative experience: Very disappointing customer service, the receptionist was not polite and she refused to let me in although I was 2’ earlier than the class. If you have strict policies then you need to reinforce them correctly and show value and respect to the people’s time.

Positive experience: The reformer machines at this location need to be serviced SO badly. Bed 6 kept getting stuck-the wheels don't glide like they're meant to. I've had this happen on a few beds at 1Rebel Kensington, but this time it prohibited me from being able to fully execute the class and it's genuinely a safety hazard. This needs to be fixed ASAP

Positive experience: Used to be much better when it was Core Collective. Reshape sessions are basically a Barry's gym concept , spin classes are alright if you get the right trainer (I like Helen on Thursdays), the reformer class is really good (I train w Paddy) but the handles on some of the reformer machines are a bit asymmetrical (if that makes sense).

Negative experience: I recently had the worst experience at Rebel1 Pilates. I traveled for over 1.5 hours, battling central London traffic, and arrived just *one minute* late for a class, class was at 12:45 PM and I reached at 12:46 PM. Despite explaining my situation and *begging* the receptionist they refused to let me in. I have experience with reformer Pilates and assured them I would be fine, but they showed zero flexibility or empathy. The customer service was shockingly poor. It felt like they were more interested in enforcing rules than accommodating a loyal, paying customer who made a genuine effort to attend. I can't help but feel that if I wasn’t brown, they might have treated me differently. It was incredibly disappointing and left me feeling humiliated. I will never return, and I strongly recommend avoiding this place. There are many other studios that value their customers much more than Rebel1 does.

Negative experience: Absolutely awful experience. My gf invited me to try reformer for the first time. When I came to the class they said I have to pass “introduction” and not allowed to start it today. Gf did the same a couple of weeks ago and no one asked for any introduction. You guys are joke. Btw bought your special socks for nothing. Thank you very much, not recommended

Negative experience: Used to come here when it was core collective and loved it. I’m committed to my fitness, I’ve been going to KXU for years, was a member at equinox gym, frequently enjoy studio fix, kobox and triyoga and while I enjoyed the routine of the Reshape class a lot, the teacher was incredibly rude! Calling my cousin and I (who regularly train together) chatty because we walked in talking to each other (the class hadn’t started yet), then telling us off for “not listening to the induction” while he was doing the induction (all we were saying to each other was how nervous we were to try a new class!!!). He went on to tell me off again when I asked where i could find the 5kg weights in the middle of the workout which is in a very dark room. I was shocked to be honest and was ready to walk out. really poor professionalism

Negative experience: I’m not used to write any review as I’m from the industry and I know how damaging they can be but tonight ive been treated horribly. I had my class at 7:45 and I’ve arrived at 7:51 because my bus was held from a crazy man with a hammer that wasn’t allowing anyone out and we had to wait for the police to arrive, as you can imagine it was already frustrating as it is and when I got to the Gym they said I couldn’t go in, and I do understand that in normal circumstances but not in this case after I’ve travelled all the way down to get to this class and I was only 6 min late. I was visibly shocked and the front desk wasn’t helpful at all and the only thing that she could say was “policy” with a smile. I’m extremely disappointed and it’s horrible how someone doesn’t understand situations. I understand if it was 20min later but it was 6 min later and not because of my fault but from and extreme situation. I hope to receive a response from this as I’m deeply disappointed in your staff behavior. And I hope you can have people that care about your clients and can be a bit more empathetic.

Positive experience: The venue is good, clean and their staff is polite. The reformer class with Sheriya was great, she is so patient!

Negative experience: I used to rave about 1Rebel classes to my friends and share them on social media, and am genuinely saddened about the aggression with which I was treated today. 1Rebel instructors wear headsets to they can be heard above the music in class. This is normally fine. However, the instructor today was shouting AND using the microphone. This made the noise level unbearable, and it hurt my ears. First, I attempted to cover my ears when she was shouting, so I could get the instructions, but not the damage. But about 7 mins into the class, I realised I would not be able to work out for the whole class like that. I asked her to turn down the noise level, but she chose not to. I then had to leave the class, because I was concerned about long term damage to my eardrums. I went to reception and told them about the issue. They said they could not offer me a refund, because I would have to contact Classpass, which I have done I also told the two women at reception that "I love your studio, and want to work out there, but this noise level in that particular class is damaging." They said that: a) nobody has ever complained, and b) offered me to buy headphones to protect my ears. If nobody had ever complained about the noise level, why would you sell headphones to protect people's ears? It seems that they knowingly create an issue, so customers have to pay to solve it. This is unethical. Various other unpleasant conversations followed, which I won't bore you with here. I do genuinely think that the noise level is damaging, so be careful if you go. I am also saddened about the aggression with which they chose to treat a repeat customer and fan. There are lots of great fitness studios in London, and I'm going to give my money to those who treat me well.

Negative experience: They gave me a dirty shower towel, and the person at the entrance was extremely arrogant and not welcoming at all.

Fantastic experience: My favourite branch by far! Lovely staff, always accommodating and have helped me sort out my bookings when I’ve made a mess of them. I only do reformer Pilates here and it’s always a great class.

Negative experience: Rude, terrible & unaccommodating. Such terrible staff with such bad attitudes. The name rebel is perfectly suited for their rude staff & trainers. Honestly waste of money & time, much better studios in high street kensington. Im sure one of their rude customers service going to reply with a diplomatic answer “taking feedback seriously “ . damaged & run down studio!

Negative experience: Worst experience I had ever had. Don't recommend anyone to go if you need to take any way of transport, especially if you are in London. I was one minute late (less than two minutes) caused of the tube delay. Then, they applied their policy that no one can enter the classroom after the class starts for safety reasons. Firstly, how can the instructor already set up the spins and check all the student reformers between one to two minutes? Ensures all students’ reformers align with or adjust to suit stress levels as basics and first thing in every class and each level. Secondly, were they dark to unable to see anything? If yes, how the student can watch the position of the instructor? On the other side, how can the instructor have enough light to see the student’s position but the instructor cannot see anyone in the classroom at the same time? I felt very frustrated and ridiculous. Never joined again even though free class.

Positive experience: EDIT : spoken to the manager who showed much more compassion and went out of his way to make amends. ————— Whilst every other gym operates a 5 minute grace period. This one does not. Cheers to the district line for getting in late so after running from Earl’s Court whilst 12 weeks pregnant I was met by two stony faces with a simple access denied outlook. This gym operates a no wiggle room “doors are shut” at exactly the start time of your class. Neither of the reception team offered to help me rebook, both just a snooty response of “we can’t possibly open the doors” when it was 6:45 as I walked in. Customer service zero. Human empathy zero. As long as you can ensure your life goes exactly to plan and you don’t rely on public transport to get you there then enjoy the stuck up atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: Started coming here on ClassPass and decided to buy classes as I enjoyed it so much. I have done the Reshape classes and WOW. I leave feeling totally amazing and I love how the instructors are so supportive. The environment feels so homely and the facilities are just outstanding. Best place to feel amazing and relax as well as a bloody hard workout! Love 1Rebel High Street Kensington. The shakes are also unreal! Love Love Love

Fantastic experience: Great cardio workout (reshape) that combines treadmill with weights and body weight exercises. Such an efficient workout and fun to do. This location also has a big chill space that is great to hang out in before/after class!

Positive experience: sometimes the music is so loud that it is difficult to understand the instructor, but overall the re-shape class is very good 45 minutes of great workout

Negative experience: Terrible place do not recommend. Rude, unaccommodating and inflexible. If you want haughty attitudes, and gate keepers on a power trip, by all means come here. If not stay clear. Arrived on time for class but told doors shut and would not be able to attend. Silly policies. Discriminatory to people who booked on apps like class pass. Waste of a precious free Saturday morning. Will you be reimbursing me for my sitter and travel costs. Friendly tip to management, do not advertise a class as starting at 945am when it actually begins at 930 sharp. Being on time actually means 15 min early at this ridiculous place. And consider replacing front of house customer service. I guess you were trying to convey 'rebel' there to be on brand, but that is a mistake. Disgusting behaviour from a service business. A thousand times, avoid. See below for other similar 1 star reviews. You get the picture.

Negative experience: If I could give negative stars I would. Save your money and go somewhere else. Staff (especially the manager) are rude, entitled and untrained in customer service. Classes are basic, and offer extremely poor value for money. Also, do not book via CLASSPASS. They DO NOT honour their bookings with the platform and will claim they have nothing to do with Classpass. They also do not put all their rules on Classpass and claim its your problem when you don't know they require you arrive 15 min early for bookings! I don't know a single gym that makes it this difficult to work out! There are so many other amazing offerings around High Street Ken so save your money and go elsewhere.

Negative experience: Worst gym experience in London- could not agree more with the reviewers before me. Avoid at ALL cost. They are rude, entitled and the classes are the absolute worst. I also arrived on time (a couple min early) for a class and was dented entrance because I booked via classpass. They then claimed they have nothing to do with class pass and don’t speak with them so this is some sort of scam.

Negative experience: I am very disappointed and frustrated by a recent incident at 1Rebel High Street Kensington. Despite arriving on time for my scheduled Reformer class, I was unjustly denied access without a reasonable explanation. On top of that, I did not feel welcomed and felt the staff was talking to me in a way which made me feel uncomfortable. I usually go to Repose, and wanted to try something new. This was my first time coming and my last time. This is supposed to be a place to relax and take my mind off things- hence I took my lunch break at work to come here, only for it to be completely wasted.

Negative experience: Was very disappointed today with Vanisha class. She lost her temper because I didn’t tell her I have a knee injury. I mean..I made a mistake but why behave in a such an aggressive manner. You shouldn’t be rude when working with people. I have feelings On a general note. Half lockers don’t work, so as hairdryers. Floor in the gym is often dirty. Would be good if rebel can fix that and talk with its employees about what behaviours are not acceptable

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience at 1rebel that left me feeling appalled by their customer service. Despite arriving three minutes early for my scheduled class, explicitly mentioning this to the staff member, he continued to deny my punctuality and rudely insisted that I was late. This blatant refusal to acknowledge my timely arrival, combined with the employee's condescending behaviour, has left me deeply disappointed I was denied entry and rudely told I was late. my previous experience where I arrived 5 mins earlier while the class started five minutes later than scheduled, is absolutely unacceptable. I strongly advise against joining 1rebel, as their abysmal customer service overshadow any potential benefits of their facilities.

Negative experience: These guys should run a masterclass on how you take something that works really well, has brand loyalty and good customer service and run it into the ground. You couldn’t pay me enough to go back there - I can’t think of anything that has sucked more since Dyson came out with their vacuum.

Fantastic experience: Lovely pilates and spin studio that also features strength and conditioning classes under the title: Reshape. Dog-friendly, this studio also can prepare smoothies for post workout, as well as having excellent amenities for showering and getting to an event/work afterwards.

Negative experience: Horrible treatment. If you are not there 5 minutes before they wont let you in and have no flexibility. They hide between safety policy which is ridiculous. I have a foreign name which is hard to spell. The time it took the lady to find me it was too late for the class. It is xenophobic and ridiculous, which you go to the class it is a lot of running and zero actual muscle use.

Negative experience: It didn’t seem like a classical pilates class it was Very different from the other class I’ve done in different studios, it was fun but I did get weird stares from the instructor since I was the only Woc there I kinda felt uncomfortable. For some reason she completely ignored me multiple times , but she did ignore the white girls . Disgusting behaviour I’d say ....

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love 1Rebel and High Street Ken is one of their best! Gorgeous studio, with every fitness concept you could think of! The team are super friendly, and you can even grab yourself a brekky now after class ❤️

Negative experience: I went to the receptionist today to request cancelling my wife's booked class(reformer) today 1hour before the class began because my wife had a severe migraine and could not attend her class, the receptionist confirmed she accepted the cancellation. Yet, 2hours later she got charged with £15 no show fee....wow....ridiculous....no sense of customer service and consideration.....just do not come to this place you will end up spending at least £60 per month on no show penalty like me.

Negative experience: Absolutely shocking customer service by Cameron - very pretentious and outright rude, thinks he owns the flipping place the way he struts around the gaff. If bad customer service was a human, he would be the president and CEO - do not waste your time going to this gym if you want to feel a valued paying member.

Negative experience: The classes at 1Rebel are always fantastic. Usually the front desk is also very accommodating and informative. This time, I was met with a desk attendant on her phone who then went right back to it after checking me in. No “hey, locker rooms are this way” which would have been helpful as I’d never been to this location before. Fine, I’ll find it myself. However, I was booked for 2 classes and when my Reformer class ran over, they wouldn’t allow me into the next Reshape for which I had registered. When I tried to explain it would have been helpful to know prior to my joining the other class that I’d need to leave early as their schedule is not at all staggered and one class starts immediately as another ends, a second desk attendant was rude, argumentative, and unhelpful in front of a full lobby of people. My feedback was reasonable, that if someone is booked for more than 1 class, it would have been useful to let them know to leave the first class early. Especially confusing as someone joined my previous class late so i guess the rules don’t apply to everyone. I usually sing 1Rebel’s praises but this was embarrassing and upsetting treatment. Great workout, horrible customer service.

Fantastic experience: Time to get big

Fantastic experience: I did a very exhausting 1rebel exercise class yesterday evening and Abi and Cami were both very helpful and friendly. I made a mistake with my booking and they were both accommodating and resolved my issue.

Negative experience: I started the workout but I was kicked out of the studio (RIG class at 12:30 on Saturday) because I was only person on the bench and Ben did not bother to explain the exercises. I went to complain to manager and she said she did not care and to email 1rebel for complaint and reimbursement. No one said sorry!
