Fantastic experience: Great breakfast I'm stuffed lol

Negative experience: I cancelled my gym membership after the 3 month contract, only to find out there was a hidden notice period I wasn’t told about when signing up. Now ARC is chasing me for money I don’t believe I owe. Consider this before joining.

Negative experience: Be careful with this gym! I do not recommend You Fit Haydock. I only agreed to a 3-month contract, but after it ended, they continued trying to take payments and eventually passed a £64 charge to a debt collection agency (ARC). I was never clearly informed about any notice period or extra fees. There was no proper contract or written explanation. They have hidden terms and small print that you only find out about when it's too late. Communication is poor, and any attempt to resolve the issue is ignored or passed on to someone else. There are more transparent and honest gyms out there — avoid this one.

Negative experience: Dirty, pool always packed poor equipment.

Negative experience: The state of the equipment is an embarrassment to the management. Rust on nearly every single machine. Zero pride or effort in this place.

Negative experience: My husband signed up for a 3 month contract.. we paid pro rata and one month up front (completely normal) however one months payment was taken again at the beginning of the next month when we were told it wouldn’t, and payment has still been taken after the three months was up. We have contacted them and sent an email and they are making it very difficult to cancel altogether, when the contract was supposed to be for 3 MONTHS (this was in July).. we have moved house and he can no longer go to the gym, and they’ve been very unhelpful in trying to cancel this.

Negative experience: İts really small and nothing there much you can work and after my membership its still took money from my account I rang them for cancel they said they cant do it ı need to mail membership adress and I mail them and they still took payment from my account its really expensive as well what it is

Negative experience: Been a member for a few years but my car was stolen last week in a spate of recent incidents of this kind and only the manager can access the cctv footage. On that evening he wasn’t working, and access was only available the following day. There is no barrier security and the canopy of trees also obscure the view. Car owners, park with caution. Moving forward I was told by experts to use a Faraday pouch for my key fob in my locker, to block the signal and avoid a repeat incident. Hope this helps prevent another victim going through what I have.

Positive experience: The pool is quite small and the place looks like it could do with some money spending on it as it looks quite run down. The staff are generally quite friendly and mostly helpful.

Negative experience: Jacuzzi broken Swimming pool cold Clothing spinner broken Sale of goods act should be invoked and a reduction to members whom put up on a regular basis with faults

Negative experience: UPDATE- 11.02.24 Absolutely freezing pool today and no jacuzzi working. DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM waste of money. Will not be renewing my membership, only given it one star as I can't give it none. My husband said there are flies back in the men's showers again, gym equipment broken. Always seems to be something that needs to be fixed. Absolute joke. August 2023- staff are lovely. The pool is cold and after the jacuzzi reopened on the 11th August 2023 it is now closed again.

Fantastic experience: Really nice little place with the nicest staff, been already two times, everything was working as should. Could do with a little bit more cleaning and money put on but overall pleasant experience

Fantastic experience: Just joined this past week, so far 5 stars. Had a couple of goes in the pool, one of which I had it all to myself! Sauna and steam room - both great - never know which one to choose though, so end up going in both. Not sure if that's the done thing but works for me ;) Staff have been fantastically helpful.

Negative experience: I came using my wife's £10 pass, what a complete waste of money, and time, and my health. Absolutely filthy, smells of urine, green pool, hot tub is freezing and also green. I had to leave earlier than the closing time due to staffing issues. I came with my daughter 3 times in the last month and each time it was filthy and I was told it was closed. There is mold and flies. Sauna isn't at correct temperature and when you stand up you have black mold stuck to you. when I went to shower, a bug came out from under a loose tile... this place has gone completely downhill in the past few months due to very rude, nasty and unprofessional management (and lack of staff due also consequently because of these rude hotel management) My youngest daughter's swimming lessons were cancelled as a result of the chlorine levels being so messed up there was algae in the pool. I wouldn't recommend it at all... not until it gets back up to previous standard. This is far from a spa and wellness centre

Negative experience: Every day my son visits this gym he comes Home to a £100 parking fine the manage need To get a grip I would not join this gym
