Negative experience: If it wasn't for the loud music, it would be good value simply because it's cheap. But when four out of five customers are wearing noise cancelling headphones to cut out the noise - which is even louder now the manager is keen to show off her new audio system - it's clearly reducing customer satisfaction. Apparently this is the mandated volume and she refuses to consider even a modest change.

Fantastic experience: Great friendly staff Very clean Excellent value for money

Fantastic experience: Friendly, well-run and refreshingly civilised. Great gym with kit that actually works, a calm pool free of chaos, and a sauna that does what it promises. Staff are welcoming, there’s no ego on display, and you can exercise in peace. A proper old-school club — rare these days and much appreciated.

Negative experience: The hotel was unfortunately damaged and closed due to a fire, meaning I could no longer use the gym as per my membership. Despite this, the gym refused to allow me to cancel my membership in order to join another gym. Alongside this they have given no estimate of reopening, leaving members in limbo. Appreciate they can’t help the fire and closure, but expect some level of flexibility given the circumstances. Poor customer service

Positive experience: Excellent small-feel gym but with a wide array of excellent machines to use. Came with a day pass and couldn't have been easier to get stuck in and use all the excellent facilities.

Fantastic experience: Very lovely gym and staff! Theres a young lady with red hair and glasses who is always very welcoming and always has a big smile on her face

Negative experience: Kids only allowed until 6 pm for swimming. If you’re a working parent doing 9-6 you don’t belong here with your kid and nobody cares. 1 star from me for making it difficult for parents

Fantastic experience: I have tried various other gyms but have found this gym has everything you will need, always able to use the equipment. The members are friendly and the staff are very accommodating, I would highly recommend for all ages and value for money.

Fantastic experience: Good little gym within the Crowne Plaza. If visiting Stratford for a short time, they have a 3-day pass which is great value.

Negative experience: I asked for my membership to be frozen last month, via email at their request. They are still taking money from my account and now ignoring my emails. Even copied in the hotel and the head office and still no response. Extremely frustrating.

Negative experience: Really disorganised. Even leaving is difficult. Staff don't know what is going on. Different advice from each of them. I'm still trying to stop my membership and it only taken 8 months! Yhe Last staff member was plain rude! Just avoid!

Negative experience: Club Motivation only motivated me to join another gym. After 3 days of trying to book a gym session being given completely different information from different staff I eventuality gave up and joined the gym next door and was using the gym one hour later. This is a massive corporate organisation who clearly doesn’t care about costumer experience. I guess at least the staff openly admitted that they had no idea what was going on. Just go somewhere else that knows what it’s up to.

Negative experience: Very old air condition doesn’t work in the gym because they regularly leave the doors open to allow the reception to cool down from the damp from jacuzzi, Steam room & Sauna

Fantastic experience: Small & quiet gym thats part of a large hotel. facilities are well maintained and always clean. staff are very helpful and friendly. even though its in the center of town it feels very quiet and the view of the river is nice to look at while on the treadmills.

Positive experience: I am a member here and I think it is the best one in Stratford. I have recommended it to loads of people. Staff are friendly. It's always clean and well maintained, and never too busy. The only downside I can find is that there is no family or disabled or baby changing facility. I am disabled and the facilities could be better. Also, I took my 8 year old son. I didn't want him going in the men's changing rooms by himself, but I was told that at 8, he was not allowed into the ladies changing rooms.

Positive experience: Great gym, staff are all friendly and helpful. Had a good selection of equipment but it's small enough that it's not over crowded or loud. Only thing missing is a squat rack! Also has a small pool (for leisure not for swimming training) hot tub, sauna and steam room.
