Negative experience: Members of staff are rude, no staff anywhere to be seen if incase of an emergency. Gym untidy. Would of been zero stars but you can only give one

Fantastic experience: Gosh what an easy comfortable introduction to the gym and group exercise classes. I got good info at reception and decided to try and join up actually at the centre rather than online. Easy peasy and done in a few minutes with good explanation of what was available for me at the price I wanted to pay. I started with a group class, very welcoming, friendly as I’ve found with another two group exercise classes. The first gym session was good as the induction to all the gym equipment was very thorough. Having forgotten some info I felt ok about asking the gym instructor again for advise and support using equipment. I do think that the centre has a lot to offer, it’s just getting over the door to find that out and try a few classes.

Fantastic experience: First time I have been to this place. As my grandson play's football for South Tyneside ability. This place is well catered for there needs bisabled parking/ toilets. There's a shop that sells refreshments also hot/cold sandwiches. First impressions excellent. Looking forward to next tournament.

Negative experience: It's about time the pool was up and running

Positive experience: My main use was for the sauna. Most times I used the sauna suite at least one thing was faulty. Either one of the saunas, the steam room or the showers were out of order. Very annoying and frustrating. It has been a few years since I have been to the sauna, hopefully they have upped their game and keep it in working order.

Negative experience: Arrival at 9.30am as soon as they opened. Floor dirty and tables had dry food for yesterday still on them. Toilets not clean. Chefs not wearing hair nets touching there face and hair without even cleaning there hands. They checked in the food boxs to see how much the kids had eaten. ABSOULTY FOUL WONT BE COMMING BACK.

Fantastic experience: We held a large open dog show at the venue yesterday. The place was clean and well organised. Kenny the duty manager looked well after us, he was very polite and nothing was too much trouble a credit to the venue thank you very much

Positive experience: Relaxed gym that's never too busy. Car park can get really full when there's a sports hall event or children's football games at the nearby MFC club. Some machines have been out of order for a couple of months.

Fantastic experience: Have to line up outside just before class starts. A member of staff comes to door to take your name as you go In. Hand sanitizer just inside door and out side of classes. Like you to bring own exercise mat if you have one. Gym open and some exercise classes back on but you must book on.

Negative experience: The gym and reception areas are new and clean, the staff friendly and helpful. I loved the architecture of the 1960’s pool. Unfortunately the pool is in need of a refab. Paint is peeling, the water was cold, and the pool itself had a tide mark around the edge and looked ‘grubby’ as if it needed a good scrub. The changing cubicles were a nice size, but the showers were cold. Very disappointed

Negative experience: Front end staff are helpful but the building and fixtures are in a state of neglect. Rusting showers, cubicles that don't lock, lockers missing keys. Worst of all is getting cramp because the pool water is so cold.

Positive experience: Very expensive when they have a boxing night.

Fantastic experience: As a therapeutic massage and sports injury therapist I was recommend by some of my patients to try the centre. The gym has plenty of vacant machines that means no waiting to use them. The instructors are very knowledgeable in there specialist area's and all instructions on the use of the equipment was very clear and comprehensive. The pool and sauna are very good although the changing rooms could use a refurbishment. On the whole it represents good value for money and parking space very good.

Negative experience: I only went to use the sauna, £5.20 to get in, all the lockers were broken, one of the sauna cabins is now boarded up, the cold drinking water fountain still comes out hot, showers are still poor, change room still too small with limited place to change, floor still floods after someone has been in the shower. Lights still broken in the steam room and the overall state of this sauna is utterly filthy. Considering I paid £5.20 to use the services here I was bitterly disappointed.

Negative experience: Disgusted with the way we were treated. Would give 0 stars if possible. My 3 year old niece was sick in there and her clothes were covered, we had no other clothes and were waiting for my brother to bring new clothes. They told us we had to leave because it was inappropriate for her to be in her knickers (with her coat over the top) Can understand why we had to leave due to the vomiting but the fact they expected us to leave immediately whilst she was in just her knickers and coat and we had to walk home (in winter weather) is simply ridiculous. Had my 6 year old step-sister in tears because they were so rude. for a “kid friendly” place they are not kid friendly at all. Children vomit, and they shouldn’t treat the kids like rubbish if they do or at all for that matter!! Have been before and they have been nicer, maybe it was just the people on the day but either way they shouldn’t have rude people working in a children’s environment.

Fantastic experience: went here for my grandsons 3rd birthday and my other grandchildren it was greatfun plenty of things to play on and adults can play with their children as did my daughter's they all had a great time you can get food and drinks here if it's not to busy u can stay longer when it's busy i think the timeline is 90 minutes highly reccomend
