You’re welcome to join salsa-in-lines, salsa-in-partners, or enjoy both. If salsa-in-lines is the class for you, good choice – It’s great fun and great exercise too! You can join within the first two weeks of the course. If you choose salsa-in-partners and come with a partner, you can dance just with each other or mix and dance with others — whatever feels most comfortable. If you’re coming on your own and would like to join a partner class, just get in touch and let us know.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been taking salsa classes here for the past two years, and I absolutely love it! The instructors are excellent—patient, knowledgeable, and always bring great energy to every class. The atmosphere is welcoming, and I’ve met so many lovely people along the way. This is the perfect place to learn and have fun at the same time. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to dance, stay active, and be part of a fantastic community!
Fantastic experience: Paul & I thought it would be fun to learn to salsa dance & it is ! Steph & Joe are the loveliest people & amazing dancers themselves & that passion & knowledge is demonstrated every lesson . They are also ,importantly, great teachers ,endlessly patient , positive & inclusive . We learn something new each week & build on that but at our own pace to build our understanding & confidence . We also went to our first party that they organised which was a lovely social occasion with dancers of all levels just enjoying themselves Thanks so much to you both for being so fab ! X
Negative experience: Terrible attitude towards me with trying to book a session, absolutely horrendous experience as I was questioned relentlessly about my ability to join the class, I felt judged and was told that I couldn’t join because I’d done salsa dancing before Unbelievable attitude towards me & I was dumbfounded by this behaviour and will not recommend anyone to join this club for its bad attitudes towards people who just want to come along and have fun and enjoy themselves! Don’t bother
Imagine deciding to push yourself out of your comfort zone and to learn something new.
You find a class advertised for absolute beginners. You go along.
You pull up outside, very nervous, almost turn around. But you manage to get yourself inside.
The teacher calls your class in and you begin. Insecure, nervous, you don't know anyone yet but the class begins.
You try your best but you notice that everyone else in the class seems to know what they're doing.
You wonder, are you in the right class? Did you join on the wrong day? time? level? This was the class for absolute beginners, right???
Then in the break, you find out that the others had been to classes before: that they're not absolute beginners.
You'd be entirely justified in feeling insecure, embarrassed, lied to, demoralised, frustrated, a fish out of water, angry, sad.
...wouldn't you?
And that is why, we deliberately make sure that people who join our absolute beginners classes...
are absolute beginners
...to avoid anything like the above for new people.
Astrid, the reviewer, has danced for 3 years.
That's what she told us when we asked her about her experience.
So naturally, we told her she wouldn't be able to join the absolute beginners class.
(However, that we would let her know when we have a class suitable. For example: a class for people returning to salsa).
It's important to us that we help our newcomers have the best time possible.

Fantastic experience: This is my favourite class. As well as being excellent teachers, Steph and Jo create a wonderful space to learn to dance, with their patient and encouraging style. Their classes are full of fun… look around the room and everyone is smiling and laughing. I always leave on a happy high.
Fantastic experience: My wife and I started solo salsa dance lessons on a Wednesday with Steph and Jo in the middle of last year and within a short period started couples salsa lessons on a Sunday too…. as we enjoyed the solo lessons so much! Steph and Jo are great teachers always willing to take time out to explain the detail and to help individuals with specific concerns or queries. The classes are great fun ; good for fitness ; good for meeting new people as well as for learning how to dance salsa ….Thank you Steph and Jo for your patience and for pretending not to notice the odd mistake here and there !
Fantastic experience: Steph and Joe are the most fantastic fun teachers with no pressure to be perfect. The people in the classes are all so lovely, inclusive of all ages etc and we all just laugh at our mistakes. The cuban salsa music and vibe are so uplifting, whether you do the partners or solo classes, so whether you have 2 left feet or ur an aspiring Strictly pro you will have the best times. Good for fitness and memory too - could be the best move you'll make in 2024!
