Glasgow Club Crownpoint

Positive experience: Good facility for athletics, visited here this past weekend, the outdoor athletics track, and field equipment is pretty good, the indoor facilities could do with a major upgrade, not because they are bad, just very dated. The lack of food and drink is a negative, but the staff are very nice.

Negative experience: Your event is too noisy, it's the middle of the working day, I have to close all the windows, but still the noise from the music is unbearable. I don't understand why you have to make it that loud. This is a violation of public peace. The shouts of athletes are fine, their excitement and passion motivate. But the stupid music that drowns out everything makes it seem as if it's playing under my windows, even though it's a good 200 meters away. Consider the people who live around and can't escape from this noise, it's actually torture. A lot of elderly people live here, they are also tired because of this

Fantastic experience: Lanarkshire AAA Championships were held at Crownpoint today. It's a super venue for this type of event. Duty Manager and his team were friendly and extremely helpful.

Negative experience: Phoned a couple of days ago to see if they were open to use the running track. Was told yeah we are now open for members of the public. Came through today 35 minute journey to use the track and was told I needed to book via the app ‍♂️. Next available session 4pm. Thats a 2 hr wait so no thanks. Oh well 35/40 mins back to Dumbarton I go. Thanks for that. Next time maybe make sure you tell people about the app .
