Fantastic experience: Very good and smooth football pitch for the children. Staffs were very friendly too. My son loves it there. Next time i visit there i wouldn't mind a cuppa of tea for this cold weather lol

Positive experience: Easy to book, lady showed me around and explained all that was included in price. Great experience and kids l9ved the party package. The only down side was that the kitchen area was stinking when I arrived. It hadn't been cleaned from the person before hand. Stains all over worktop and sink, dirty cutlery in sink. Water boiler empty and turnt off (when I booked I was told this would be on) although I just boiled the kettle for teas/coffees. Didn't make a complaint though as I didn't take pictures for proof. Other than that was good experience

Fantastic experience: Very good venue for a kids party, the room was more than big enough for 15-20 kids plus parents. Kitchen facilities good, tables chairs, bouncy castle was provided although we also got some additional toys in for younger kids as this wasn’t provided (mini ball pit). All facilities clean and tidy and staff were very helpful. Good parking provision even though there was football on we still managed to get a space. Would use again.

Fantastic experience: A fantastic state of the art football facility offering both outdoor and covered pitches of varying sizes. The changing rooms, meeting rooms and large multi-purpose room offer state of the art facilities for both football and general birthday parties. Very impressed!

Positive experience: I like the pool (I haven't used the other facilities), good amount of parking. Could probably do with a fresh coat of paint but this doesn't bother me personally.

Negative experience: Stop giving so much space out for lessons/schools, dedicate some space for lanes for members of the public who are paying for a membership to swim! Fix the showers in the Sauna area

Fantastic experience: Great place. All that you need. Swimming. Steam, sauna etc. Main all had many things you can book. There are also circuit classes. A Pitty this place is closing near the end of year.

Positive experience: Gym is well equipped but small, it can be busy so hard to work out on. Very good pool with a sauna and steam room. Under a student gym membership you are able to use any gym, so I use the gym at Connswater then go for a swim. Staff are friendly and it also has a cafe. It is in a dodgy area but it seems to be safe enough. Just remember a £1 coin for your locker and a chain lock if you’re cycling.

Negative experience: Took kids on Sunday swimming and was told that because of being short staffed the swimming is only for over 16 yo and over. You should have seen my kid's faces. Poor service

Fantastic experience: Great place. Friendly and informative staff. Always willing to help. Other users pleasant and friendly. Pool can get a bit crowded at times but I've never had any problems in the early morning. Plenty of classes structured around different exercises and ability. From swim arobic ,spinbike and fitness. People in the class are friendly and helpful, instructors are very helpful and professional. This will improve your fitness.

Negative experience: Every other week something is out of order. 'New parts' are ordered but within a month or so they are not working again! There are never any keys for the disabled changing rooms (I myself am not disabled but my mother has limited mobility, which you wouldn't know looking at her) so obtaining these can be an issue if they cannot be found! There was also a little visitor of the rodent kind passed through the changing room!!! I have never had a issue with the gym facilities but you are still expected to pay full membership even when things are broken for months! Is it the case that the newer centres will be up and running, this place is left to rack and ruin? The water workout on a Monday and Thursday is the only reason I'm still using this place.

Positive experience: Could do with a tiny bit of renovation outside but once inside it does exactly what it says on the tin.

Fantastic experience: Avoneil is a small, but user friendly gym with pool and various activities. The staff are very polite, helpful and make you feel right at home. There are parts which look a little tired but what it lacks in decor, it more than makes up for in value for money. Give it a whirl, you won't regret it.

Positive experience: While the area is a little dodgy, the staff are great and the gym members themselves are super friendly. Pool is clean, facilities are good, place is small but away from the typical powder-chugging crowds to give a relaxed atmosphere when you visit. Been a member for over 3 months now and will be for the forseeable future.
