Skieasy Ski and Snowboard Centre: Opinions
Fantastic experience: I had an excellent ski lesson with Johnathan. He gave me lots of great tips to improve my skiing as a near beginner. I haven't skied for a couple of years and felt rusty, but now I feel much more confident about my upcoming ski trip. He's an awesome instructor. I would highly recommend!
Thank you, we enjoyed having you here! We wish you all the best for your upcoming trip and hope to see you back at SkiEasy soon⛷️
Fantastic experience: Went as a complete beginner with no idea how anything works when it comes to skiing. 1hr session definitely helped build my confidence. The great thing is you go straight onto the slope and can ski for the full hour. No special clothes needed - just a pair of ski socks. The slope is a bit like a treadmill with fake snow, it moves and you get to practice holding a ski stance and moving up and down the slopes. Of course will be different from being on a real mountain/ real snow but this helps build muscle memory as you learn to keep the correct stance on the skis. By the end I was catching a ball while skiing. It’s a bit like practicing mountain bike racing on a stationary bike - not exactly the same but good enough for practice and learning the basic techniques. The rest of the centre seemed nice and well looked after. There’s a big cafe serving drinks and hot meals if you have time. Women’s changing rooms and toilets were clean and well looked after. There’s a golf course outside and a tennis centre as well. Only point of feedback is the centre could have better pedestrian access. The walking path from the main road is a bit awkward and could be better paved - it’s often just a mud path. Really enjoyed the overall experience and will go again.
Thank you so much for you review, we are so pleased you enjoyed your experience and got the most of out your lesson. We hope to see you again soon ⛷️
Fantastic experience: I’ve been skiing my whole life and my skill level has not improved for at least two decades. The lessons here really fine tune your technique and I’ve improved more in the last few weeks than I have in the last 20 years. Couldn’t recommend it more highly. The instructors here are excellent and very friendly.
Hey George,
Thank you so much for your review. We are delighted you were able to improve your technique with us. We hope to see you again soon ⛷️
Fantastic experience: Had an amazing session with the brilliant instructor Jonty a few weeks back. Honestly, from 0 experience to an hour with him, I was able to successfully navigate a green course at Méribel this weekend! (I’ll admit plenty of falling down though, but that’s what happens on real snow) He helped me gain confidence, was patient, and super encouraging that I highly highly recommend! I’ll deffo be going back to learn more and be better.
Fantastic experience: These guys are Amazing!! my 10yo Daughter had 9hrs of lessons at at another Snow Centre and was barely able to turn more than once. After 1hr with Lena, she was able to turn continuously even while dodging obstacles and catching a ball !!! With the instructor right in front of you, able to put their hand on the front of the skis allows immediate and practical instruction & adjustments rather than calling out advice from 30m away that's sone kids, especially beginners, just can't implement. Its also 30m of skiing, not 1 minute of ski and then 10 mins waiting for the ski-lift. Thanks to Lena & the team, my daughter had a brilliant first Ski Trip spent mostly enjoying the slopes rather than learning the basics. Highly Recommended!!!
Fantastic experience: I’ve booked my first-ever ski lessons this week with the instructor Alastair, and I’m absolutely loving it! As a complete beginner, I was a bit nervous, but Alastair has made the experience so enjoyable. He’s very patient, explains everything clearly, and gives great tips that make learning feel easy and fun. I’m already gaining confidence on the slopes and can’t wait for my next lesson. Highly recommend both Alastair and the ski centre for anyone looking to learn or improve their skiing!
Fantastic experience: So beneficial. It was really easy to get the hang of the rotating slope and the instructor gave clear instructions to help adjust to it. If you're just starting out a half hour session would probably be best as your legs do ache towards the end. I booked an hour as was travelling a long way to get there and I felt it has really improved my confidence and ability.
Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful lesson with Anna ! She was patient and she helped me to improve my skills. I recommend her 100%
Fantastic experience: Great lesson with Jonathan. Explained everything clearly and I definitely picked up some great technique tips.
Fantastic experience: Had a great session, my instructor was called Ali and was so amazing at skiing!
Positive experience: Some instructions are excellent, while others are horrendous. It is entirely dependent on your luck.
Fantastic experience: Excellent facility and first rate instructors
Fantastic experience: AWESOME! I thought the talk on the website was hyperbole but it's not! From the second you put your boots on you are skiing! No trudging around on ski lifts just pure learning. It's a bit pricey at £80 for half hour but you really get your money's worth.
Positive experience: I hadn't skied for 15yrs and found it really difficult. 30mins for my first lesson wasn't really long enough it all felt a bit rushed, an hour would have been better. Most of what I learned in the first session was how to use the rolling surface. A good concept and a good instructor, but for me I would need a lot more lessons.
Positive experience: Great opportunity for 1:1 coaching whether that’s starting out or refreshing your skills after a long absence from the slopes (that’s me). Two visits so far, two different instructors, both helped improve my technique and confidence, both seemed to know how to make the most of the rolling slope. Lose one star for how expensive it is and lack of flexibility around booking.
Negative experience: Would never step there again. No adult supervision, kids are running the place and they decide how to do and what to do based on their Instagram profile for the day or whatever else they make decision via. Since there’s no other place in London to offer such services, I swallowed my pride and took the gestapo-like conditions of booking and reserving slots, taking the risk i might lose some sessions since nobody can stand to the high level of booking scrutiny they demand (half the terms and conditions shown on every booking process is in capital letters and exclamation marks…), and all along, just work with whomever coach is available at that time no matter how much they know about skiing… As to the costs: unimaginable fees, I just thought of a number and thrown it on the wall. Naturally, some Londoners would say yes to any price tag for some short while, whilst they’re looking for alternatives. After one year of success they had in having the schedule fully booked with outrageous fees(£100 for half an hour!) They wrongly praised the manager for being so audacious and not bankrupting. We will see how long that will last for this group of merry kids. Toilets are filthy, no soap available. Toilet paper leftovers on the floor. Last century style toilet cubicles matching a school in the 1950s, rather than the leisure club in the 21st century. The place is reeking of stench of sweat, ammonia/ vinegar and bacteria and the sitting area is filthy, and Disgusting to sit on. Had my membership cancelled and money refunded since they wouldn’t allow me to confirm who my coach will be be as an intermediate skier. I needed to work on specific elements rather than just ski side to side for half an hour without any improvements. Lovely bunch of people if it wasn’t for the idiotic and Disorganised approach. Managerial skills close to 0. Customer service awareness zero. I don’t see myself going back there even if they are the last dry slope remaining on the planet.
Fantastic experience: We took 3 of our grandchildren here today - aged 9, 8 and 4. None have skied before but we have booked a skiing holiday for next Easter. We want them to have got the basic idea so that they don't spend the first few sessions in ski school learning how to get up when they fall over! It was a great experience and we'll definitely do it again sessions. The older two went first. The 4 year old was kitted out and watching the others. Alistair and Ella were great teachers. The boys had a great time.
Fantastic experience: My kids have made amazing progress in just a few lessons. I think they learn very fast as there’s no stopping (the “rotating mat” runs continuously) and they get feedback from seeing themselves in the mirror. They have had to learn good speed control to stay on the mat. The teachers made it lots of fun with cones to dodge and lights projected onto the mat.
Fantastic experience: Great instructors, made us feel welcome and confident . Myself and my eldest are first time skiers and this was a great experience.
Fantastic experience: Really good instructors to help someone learn
Fantastic experience: I made a significant amount of progress after four lessons at Skieasy with my knowledgable and enthusiastic instructors. Each had their own teaching style and I learned a great deal from all three. Huge thanks to Lukas, Flo and Sam! The facilities are clean and modern, with friendly staff around the site and reception. The booking process is simple but I would definitely advise booking lessons well in advance because slots fill up quickly. I had so much fun and I can’t wait to return! ⛷
Fantastic experience: Great ski training and amazing instructors
That's lovely to hear Hans, thank you!
Fantastic experience: Took my girlfriend there for her birthday as a surprise. When we arrived she was apprehensive as was worried she wouldn't enjoy it and might hurt herself. However thanks to Hamza, she felt really comfortable and we both absolutely loved the experience. We learnt loads in a short space of time and will definitely go again.
We are so glad you enjoyed your experience with us Joshua. Look forward to seeing you again!
Fantastic experience: Really good centre. Our instructor Cameron was really good, very patient, and knowledgeable
Fantastic experience: Was here earlier today with my brother, had an awesome experience with Hamza, he really inspires confidence, is a great instructor and has an amazing attitude. First time on a snowboard, great time, very eager for next time.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review us. We're super happy that you enjoyed your snowboard lesson! All of our Instructors are passionate about teaching skiing and snowboarding and thrive on seeing people learn and enjoying themselves.
Hamza seems to be very popular and rightly so!
We hope to see you again soon.

Fantastic experience: After not snowboarding for 8 years I went to Skieasy for a few refresher lessons which was well worth it! It meant when I got on the slopes that I didn’t have to spend my first 2 days figuring it out again! 5 years later I’ve just returned to skieasy to introduce my girlfriend to snowboarding as she’s always wanted to try it and she is now desperate to get a trip booked! Special thanks to Hamza who instructed her lesson. In just one double lesson she was confident and competent enough to be controlling her speed and changing direction without any assistance on her heel edge, as well as starting to work on her toe edge - it’s absolutely great having an instructor in front of you the whole time you’re boarding/skiing, you learn so much quicker and have a lot more confidence compared to going down a slope, then fighting with the lift to carry you back up to the top, to then get a pointer, to try again, repeating again and again - this is “dry slope”, it is a lot harder than actual snow, but if you can ski/board on this, then when you get on the snow it’s easy (you just have to make some small adjustments) Will definitely be back again!
Hi Darryl. Thank you so much for taking the time to review us. We are super happy that you both enjoyed Skieasy - you're right, it is harder than real snow, but it's easy to transfer the skills when you do get on the mountain.
Hamza is a great instructor and seems to be very popular!
We hope to see you again soon.

Negative experience: This is absolutely NOTHING like skiing on a slope, and is pretty much just a big con. Pretty annoyed that I wasted money on 30 minutes of "getting used to it", with the instructor just asking us to move side to side. To put into perspective, my girlfriend who came with me has been skiing most years since she was 10, and couldn't do whatever it is they were trying to get us to do. If you're thinking of using this to prepare for a ski trip, please do yourself a favour and stick to a proper snow slope (the one in Hemel Hempstead is great).
Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience at Skieasy. It took a bit of getting used to it in the beginning, however with the help of my brilliant instructor Louisa, I soon realised what I was doing wrong and was then had much more confidence. I highly recommend this to anyone who is feeling a bit rusty!
Hi Benjamin. Thank you for taking the time to review us. It was great to hear you found your session with us so useful and I will pass on your comments to Louisa. Kind regards. - Steve, Skieasy Centre Manager.
Negative experience: The instructor was egotistical and rude. The last session of the day isn't an excuse for a poor attitude and he had the nerve to ask to record a video of him on his phone. Complete waste of time and money.
Hi N V. I'm sorry to hear that you weren't happy with your lesson. Please could you email me on [email protected] so I can discuss your experience in more detail and hopefully find a way to make amends. Kind regards. Steve - Skieasy Centre Manager.
Fantastic experience: Vewy noice
Hi Chrels. Thanks for the 5 stars!
Fantastic experience: Just a brillant place to be and a perfect instructor for beginners and advanced skiers
Fantastic experience: I went down for an introducory ski lesson with my daughter (who was a bit sceptical of the idea). We had a really good session, with the instructor adapting the lesson to our individual needs, and we came away feeling like we'd made some progress. My daughter was a lot less sceptical & more confident.
Fantastic experience: Nice, easy chilled way to find your muscle memory. It's not snow but once you forget this, you don't notice. Plenty of free parking. Nice people whether you are a beginner or not. Two sessions and I could remember how to ski. After this I started getting better.
Fantastic experience: Great opportunity to train before the slopes. All the team are very friendly and helpful. Jamie is THE MAN! He's an excellent instructor and even went above and beyond advising me how to get the right boots. Can't wait to try out my shiny bright red boots on the snow. Thanks guys for a really nice experience! I had 4 lessons in the space of 3 weeks, yes it's not on snow, but because you're on a treadmill you can really perfect your technique in ways that cannot be achieved on the slopes. I'm going to follow up with further lessons on the snow with my shiny new boots so that I can enjoy the experience and (hopefully) avoid any injuries. I was late to one lesson and although they could've easily have said tough, they didn't, as they had a space straight after. They made the exception the once and it's appreciated. Although I'm sure if they didn't have the space I would've lost my ski time. They are very busy and this is because they are good, great for kids especially.
Negative experience: Great place for learning to ski, but as a loyal customer to this place, and chelski I have spent a small fortune there when it was known as skiplex and also now as ski Easy. It would be nice if the one time i couldnt make my lesson instead of telling me they wont reschedule and ive lost £40 for nothing they would take the above into consideration. I have missed a lesson at chelski aswell and they had absolutely no problem rescheduling for me as they will gain a lot more from my custom than they will by throwing there cancellation policy at me. Maybe this Is partly why skiplex didn't last. I will no longer use them and will travel the extra few miles to chelski from now on.
Fantastic experience: We've had the BEST time learning to ski with Joe and Sam. They've made a huge difference to my confidence and I can't wait to try out my new techniques on snow.
Fantastic experience: i had an amazing time on the slopes at Dukes meadows Skieasy !!!! it was my first time on skis and the instructors gave me the confidence to Ski on my own . !!! Highly recommend skiing here !
Fantastic experience: Lovely staff, great customer service both in person and on the phone. Definitely worth it. Excellent instructors, very good preparation for the skiing season!
