Negative experience: Outrageous experience – completely unacceptable behavior, possibly racist We are absolutely furious with the way we were treated at Talacre Community Sports Centre. We had a confirmed badminton court booking through the Better UK App — with a confirmation email to prove it. But when we arrived, we were told the court had been “booked by someone else” due to a system error, and we were forcibly kicked out by an incredibly rude and aggressive manager. Instead of helping resolve the situation, the manager dismissed our confirmation, refused to listen, talked over us the entire time, and repeatedly told us to leave. His tone and behavior were not only deeply unprofessional, but downright hostile. It was clear he had no intention of treating us with fairness or respect. We strongly suspect that racial discrimination played a role in how we were treated. We were not given the courtesy of a conversation, just immediately blamed and removed — despite having proof of our booking. Five of us travelled significant distances to be there — some drove over an hour, others took the Underground, and I personally spent money on two Uber trips. We wasted time, money, and energy, only to be humiliated by a manager who acted like we were the problem when the fault was clearly with Better’s broken system and his abusive attitude.

Negative experience: Treetops is to small and not friendly for children with additional needs, guy that was working there was giving my child nasty looks and so was the parents, not being funny dont judge what you don't understand, BETTER YOU NEED TO SERIOUSLY THINK ABOUT DOING SPECIAL SESSIONS FOR CHILDREN WITH SEND!!! I DONT MEAN JUST 1 HR IN THE MORNING EITHER!!!!

Negative experience: Came for the Treetops climbing gym. Very depressing and dark area with dust on the floor in between the matts, spiders webs above and dust caked on top of the tunnel. Rough surfaces hurt my feet when walking around and I’m an adult with thicker skin. Not worth £7

Positive experience: Really lovely staff and the climbing facilities are brilliant. Good toilet facilities also.The centre is let down by the areas for parents to wait as there is a real lack of seating and space for keeping costs/jumpers. This is a real shame as otherwise I'd give this five stars instead of 3

Positive experience: It’s ok. Wouldn’t advise for non-walkers. I think the most fun would be had by children around 2 and up, as there is no designated ‘sensory’ area for babies or crawlers. The cost for non-members is £7.05 for 1 hour. There was no food or drink on offer at all, and the vending machines were both out of order. The swinging main doors were out of order and so had to be wrenched open with fingers. As I made my way around with my 15 month old, I saw dust bunnies and mouse traps through the rope barriers- but children couldn’t get to them. Some of the soft flooring has gaps in it or gaffa tape to fix.

Negative experience: Dirty soft play, didn’t respond to my email where I advised them to clean up

Positive experience: I like the added additions of the ball pool. My lil one loves it. I take my 1yr and 3 year old to the toddler gym in the morning. Very warm n cosy. Lots for lil ones to engage in.

Fantastic experience: Excellent facilities and very clean and modernised. The showers and toilets looked pristine. Quite open and welcoming too.

Fantastic experience: The soft play here is excellent. It’s three stories with many slides, a ball pit and a ropes course up at the top. I love taking my toddler here. Don’t forget socks for you and your child but if you do, they have some for sale. My toddler still needs help getting over a lot of the barriers so she’s still too small to explore independently like the bigger kids. I can’t share any photos as I didn’t take any because of other kids being there but it looks exactly like what you see in google. The gymnastics going on the gym behind us looked amazing too

Fantastic experience: Honestly if i could rate this place 7 stars i would i do trampolining every Tuesday Thursday and Friday and Sunday. The trampolining coaches are really nice and supportive if you want to do trampolining here sign up right now

Positive experience: Badminton courts are decent but the hall lacks air conditioning which makes it extremely warm in the summer with a large group of people The changing rooms here aren’t the best and neither are the toilets but they do their job!

Positive experience: Went to Treetops on a warm rainy day. The surfaces felt grubby, sticky and unclean. There is no proper area for under 2s to play in without the risk of being trampled on by a bigger kid. The staff, however, are very friendly, accommodating & personable.

Negative experience: The badminton court floor is too slippery, me and my friend got injured because of the floor . We’ve been playing here for a few times , still nothing changed, is like no one ever mopped the floor.

Fantastic experience: What a fantastic place for all. I bring my son here and it’s so clean, new and absolutely fantastic the staff are really friendly and helpful.

Positive experience: First time going soft play with kids there, staff were lovely and helpful. Toilet and facilities need some updating

Fantastic experience: It's quite a nice place to go, the soft play area at first looks small, but has 3 levels and it actually varies and has lots of different fun climbing/ sliding options. Their baby gym sessions are really fun as well which takes place once or twice a week. The staff also seem to be very kind and helpful as well, which is a huge point for me.

Negative experience: Appalling service, beginners thrown in with experienced and expected to knownwhat to do without being explained anything whatsoever, children screamed at during lessons, no direction at all to the lessons, incompetent, unsympathetic, rude, lazy and distracted teachers with no children skills. Save up and take your kids somewhere decent, because they will never be good at anything they learn here. Should be ashamed of themselves

Positive experience: Very good centre , football pitches, basketball ,outdoor play area and green space.Indoor theres a soft play area for younger children, indoor pitch , and more. Parking spaces available (2 hrs max), easy access and lift available inside.toilets are not that clean . Vending machine with some cold drinks and snacks available , upstairs there is a seating area .

Fantastic experience: Have used the soft play with my nephew a couple of times . I have say that the gentleman who was on the reception desk was so kind. He saw that I was heavily pregnant and bought me out a chair to sit whilst my nephew played. The chairs had been removed due to Covid but he made an exception. It was such a kind gesture and can’t thank him enough.

Positive experience: Went to soft play with my 11 month old granddaughter, unfortunately it doesn't have anything for babies. Good for 2 years upwards.

Negative experience: Badminton courts were right next to a loud basketball class which made it impossible to play. The staff didn't care and we were denied any rebooking. Strongly discourage the use of this centre.

Fantastic experience: Great place for kids! Treetops soft play and baby gym! Can’t wait until the kids get older and can do more of the other activities.

Negative experience: The Centre seems to have done NO CLEANING. It is usually rather mucky, but today, and with the spread of Corona, everything looked dirtier than usual. Doors and walls are covered in fingerprints, the carpets look as if they haven't seen a hoover in weeks. For a community place, it fails hugely in hygiene, especially at this time.

Fantastic experience: This sports centre is fantastic for kids. The gymnastics session are very popular because small kids can run wild in a very safe environment and even try some more technical moves when a bit older. They have proper gymnastics equipment.

Fantastic experience: I visit the softplay here, they have sessions that run around an hour and a half long so check the session time before coming to make the most of it. There's a cafe within the softplay that serves English food. Nice place to relax and watch kids play

Negative experience: As a parent I dread having to go to Treetops, but kids obviously love it. There are unfortunately some unruly kids now and again, particularly difficult when significantly different age groups are mixed, and altercations between children do seem to occur occasionally. There probably ought to be a bit more staff supervision or better separation of age groups.

Positive experience: My nieces go to the gymnastic classes on weekends and they love it. It is a good community sports centre with a comfy waiting area for parents. Changing facilities are clean and there are always lockers available. The classes are varied and have reasonable prices
