Fantastic experience:

Positive experience: It's all nice and clean as well cleaned regularly. In the gym, they have a good variety of equipment to work out on.

Negative experience: Don't bother trying to park at the weekends when there is an event on. Even though you pay for your membership, buy an additional parking permit, then still have to pay a quid to park every time you use the gym; there are no reserved spaces for members so the swimming meets, university graduations etc get there first thing in the morning and take all the spaces for the day! P*ss poor, you could at least reserve half of one of the 2 floors of parking spaces as members only and at least give us a chance!

Positive experience: Low enough monthly membership price with plenty of equipment I go in, do what I need and leave. It's just fine for that

Negative experience: Got there quarter of an hour early and was still late for my class as I had to queue up at two different receptions to get someone to let me in. I used to be a member but now classes are virtual and I'd missed the intro I had to guess what was happening. I was looking at becoming a member earlier today but now I think I might go to Goodwin instead

Positive experience: Really needs a dress code for people working out. Too many people have muscle vests or just sports bras.

Negative experience: After 5pm you got no chance of having a good session! Gym is way to packed!

Fantastic experience: Still the best value & resourced sports venues, gyms in the city who else includes international sized completion swimming pool, state of the art in door track, boxing facilities, golf club, sauna, steam rooms, gyms, hydro pools masess of clases for adults school kids and where else could you be training and end up bumping into the likes of Anthony Joshua, Jessica Ennis,Amir Khan, and legendary trainers like Tony Melchellio, or end up in ponds forge training with the Sheffield Sharks

Fantastic experience: Great place to get fit. Everything you could ask for and expect from a world class fitness venue. Cheep as well £35 per month, works out just over £1 a day.

Positive experience: Used to get a bit crowded pre covid but the crowds have yet to return and that's fine by me. Very large well equipped gym with friendly staff. Also has showers sauna etc if that's your thing. One annoying thing was that the changing room was shared with the pool, so it was wet everywhere. Looks like that might have changed post covid.

Positive experience: Great gym, great equipment and pool. Would and do highly recommend. However the members only toilet area in the changing room STINKS. It is just warm thick ammonia in the air and it really makes me want to throw up just using them.

Positive experience: The staff here are friendly and generally the place is clean and tidy. The facilities are very good, and I pretty much joined the gym because I was looking for a place with a good spin studio. The spin studio is very good - coloured lights in an enclosed room with 3 rows of bikes and a good sound system, complete with projector and monitors to show myzone heart rates. I would definitely recommend going here, however there are a couple of points below that I think if fixed would make this place even better: There is a persistent bad smell in the men's changing room near the steam room, and there's been a fair few occasions where toilets have had no toilet roll. The spin studio's air conditioning has been broken for a while now and it gets quite hot in there. The spinning bikes themselves are pretty decent, however they are not maintained very well (not sure if they actually are maintained or just fixed when they break?). Some bikes are harder than others (e.g. gear 10 on one bike is not the same as gear 10 on another bike), and after mentioning this nothing seems to have changed.

Fantastic experience: First of all had a coffee in the restaurant, pleasant surroundings, good service by nice friendly staff, enjoyed ten minutes or so in pleasant comfortable atmosphere. Spent about two hours in the gym, had a good work out on modern up to date equipment.

Positive experience: Pretty good gym, good selection of classes and staff are nice. Often difficult to park there, but I usually walk. Olympic swimming pool and diving pool. General public aren't normally allowed to use the diving boards though. They also do kids trampoline and diving classes and there is a fun pool with a slide and lazy river, but I've not been in there
