Negative experience: too many ppl being mean

Negative experience: I am an experienced gym goer, and competetive powerlifter. The floors here are incredibly unstable, and wobbly under any weight. The squat racks wooden floors are uneven with trip hazards which is incredibly dangerous when walking a squat out, the benches are the single worst ever bench presses I've ever had the displeasure of using, they slide like you're on an ice rink and are so low to the ground i feel like I'm on a kids bench press. Will never come here again, do not recommend.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed that the High Wycombe branch does not offer a ladies only gym and classes. If Slough can do it why can't High Wycombe? There is a massive demand for a ladies only gym here but no one is paying attention. I'd be coming 6 days a week if you had one. Come on guys. You can do better.

Negative experience: This is a free parking but is not they’ve been charging me 100 pound to give me a ticket and Gym management they don’t care telling me to appeal on myself

Negative experience: It's full of kids wearing fake balmain not using equipment but socialising all over the place, not enough equipment to sustain the amount of people it allows. Full of bikes & cardio everywhere and no-one uses them. 4 mats to stretch & warm up on? No where near enough resistance machines. The music is grime or RnB in a gym? so you get the clientel that comes with it. Kids thinking they are in club. As far as I'm concerned this is not a gym for serious body builders or competetitors or even adults for that matter. But for youth, it's more a communal centre than it is a gym. I had Been there one day and will never entertain it again & that was for £15 for the month. The atmosphere in this place is horrible. & that us the general talk amongst anyone that goes there.

Negative experience: Luck of communication from Gym. Not honest . Different trainer name on the classes and different person running the classes. Very disappointed

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym great value and ok people attend too

Negative experience: Buzz gym is exploiting people so please consider the below before signing up for this place. Whether you are a pt working for buzz gym or a member you are nothing more than a number to them. The only thing that matters for buzz gym is maximizing profits and minimizing expenses by any means. It is very sad especially for pts who spend 50 hours per month without getting paid a single penny. 50 hours of doing classes for free, free 1-2-1 pt sessions, tidying up the whole gym and cleaning the bathrooms. Not even a thanks. Only complains that it is never good enough. Also pts have to pay money to buzz gym if they are sick or if they are going away for holidays!!!! Members on the other hand can’t often use the equipment either because the gym is extremely overcrowded or because machines are constantly broken down. Not to mention the unnecessary loud music blasting on the background quite often with songs containing swearing words. Feedback and complaints are never taken seriously as not a single change has occurred to make the gym a better place both for staff and members. Management is aware but doesn’t care, because they don’t want to spend any money. Shame on you.

Negative experience: I’m not currently a member but i’ve been using my uncle Rodney’s code. The gym is very clean but when i entered on a sunday evening, i witnessed a group of females taking videos of me and laughing. I am aware there is a no photo policy, unsure if they had permission? In addition, i noticed a member eating a kebab on the bench press which i didn’t think was allowed. I proceeded to the rack stations and was going for some heavier Clean and Jerks and wasn’t able to control the bar and it accidentally banged the floor. I promptly heard a few of the shop alarms below the gym go off. Around 5 minutes later, armed police entered the gym to defuse the alarm. They threatened the people on the leg press machine.

Positive experience: Sadly discriminating against wheelchair users by seemingly refusing to repair a lift that's been out of order for 2 months now....

Negative experience: Nice concept, nice equipment but from the minute you walk in you are bombarded with DIY signs everywhere from the changing rooms to the gym floor: “Anyone caught taking selfies will be banned for life” “No selfies to be taken unless you ask permission of other people around you” “Be warned - NO PHOTOS”. As a PureGym goer it’s obvious you don’t get other people in the shot but you don’t have any of this NONSENSE. Not for me, I want to track my progress and it’s something men do even in the changing rooms as long as no one is about”. The music is pretty loud and horrific as well. Odd layout. Only reprieve is the manual thermostat on the showers.

Fantastic experience: Had an issue with my membership that I’d put on hold due to an injury. Called this morning and spoke to Marcus who from the get go went out of his way to be ultra helpful. He made my experience so simple and actually cared about my needs going above and beyond to help. Thanks Marcus you’re a credit to Buzz.

Negative experience: Contacted them because there's an issue with my payment going through but no reply! Couldn't get my money back!

Positive experience: Huge gym and massive array of weights and machine and powerlifting areas, it is huge, classes always full but have spaces. The biggest draw is the price it is so so competitive infact I pay a 5th of what I paid at The Marlow Club and it is 5/6 times the size and 10 times the weights and cardio machines. Super clean and people mostly wiped down after themselves unlike what I found at the Marlow Club. They also validate parking so saves you £3-£5 in parking fee too!! The staff are friendly and great too - open 24hrs a day and has camera and staff present so always safe. The only downside is it isn't very friendly the patron can be rude and stand off ish, little clicks walk round like they own the place that I find funny but is a shame as it really is a great gym.

Negative experience: Decided to go here because I didn’t like other gyms in the area, this is my second session and I already am going to be cancelling my membership They fail to tell you between the hours of 9am-5pm, 5 out of the 7 platforms are out of use because it sets off the alarm in the shops below. This means you either can’t do any heavy lifting, have to wait ages for the two platforms that are in use, or come back at 5pm when the rest are opened. Along the same lines, they only have two benches, which always have a long queue as well. I have only ever been during working hours so I hate to think how busy it gets after 5pm. Also NO ONE puts away their weights. Machines and benches always have plates left on them, there are dumbells all over the floor, squat racks left with plates on etc. I’ve watched people leave their litter, like empty cans, on the machines as well From what I’ve seen as well, the coaches are all very young (not far off high school age) and wouldn’t have enough experience at their age to safely train people. This is nothing against them, more just letting people know in case they are hoping to get a PT with experience It tends to be a lot of young school kids or simply people who aren’t serious about the sport that go to this gym. If weightlifting is something you’re serious about or if you are a powerlifter (like me) this definitely is not the gym for you. It’s treated more like a hang out spot There is also a no filming or photo policy, which although some people may like, I find difficult as I like to film my lifts for training I really hate to leave a negative review but feel this is knowledge people should have before committing to a monthly membership That being said, if you are just starting out (and not looking for a pt) this is probably a good unintimidating gym to start

Negative experience: Low budget gym. Good workout equipment, but class instructors lack experience. No proper technique thought. Which can result in injury

Negative experience: Good gym and very local but I cancelled my direct debit through bank in December 2024. Gym advertisement and signing says you can cancel anytime. But guys and girls, there is a con/money making one , only through the Buzz Gym app. Be extremely careful. If you join through app and put In your account details, even if you cancel anytime your direct debit, it will take payments without consent from the cards used on the app. My payments for January Feb and March has been taken out costing 67 pounds on top . There is reviews here of different members with exactly the same situations. Be very careful. How many members have paid 100's of pounds for this grey area. (Cancel anytime) word. Check your bank statements if you have cancelled direct debit through bank and not app. Gym is nice , no problem with it. Kindly fix it Buzz Gym. Bank dispute team will handle my claim but be realistic. As the reply comes with ease the policies guideline, Buzz gym has the right to charge the card their prescribed way. Good reply as the member never turned up for 3 months and if it was 6 months, years etc. Policy needs to be looked at very politely, it is gym membership, not life insurance. If nothing could be done no problems. The money earned without services is the one you should never keep whether the clauses or policy supports it or not because in the long run it will come back with problems and thank you for reply

Fantastic experience: I joined 3 weeks ago, needed a gym closer to work and found Buzz. Great atmosphere, always clean great selection of equipment easily matches up to my old gym if not better. Also great location especially with free parking.

Negative experience: I’ve been a member at this gym for a while, always wearing my Crocs during workouts with no issues. I’ve spoken to the staff several times, and not once did anyone mention footwear policies. But today, out of nowhere, I was told I couldn’t continue my workout and was asked to leave. I even requested an extra 15 minutes to finish up and promised to wear shoes moving forward, but they refused. To make matters worse, I recently found out that deadlifts are restricted from 9-5 due to noise complaints from downstairs tenants, another policy that was never communicated to me during sign-up or orientation. I’m really disappointed by the lack of transparency and inconsistent enforcement of rules here. Worst experience!

Positive experience: Decent equipment and price however lost a star due to it being busy most of the time, very few people put their weights back and there’s a lot of members lacking personal hygiene.

Fantastic experience: I called on Saturday Easter weekend , and the phone was answered by a lady , who was very polite and explained the gym would be open all weekend . Very happy to help with any questions , and i'm happy to be a part of this gym .

Positive experience: Visited for the day. Great facilities, very secure and clean. My only criticism would be that it was quite pricey for a day pass and setting up the day pass was not very user friendly

Fantastic experience: After a disappointing attempt to try Anytime Fitness, I came here and was greeted by the friendly staff after 1 press on the bell. Clean gym, has a good selection of weights and is spacious even when fairly busy. The day pass was great. FYI - You need a padlock for the lockers.

Positive experience: Very nice gym. All clean and tidy and the staff are friendly. I would easily give it a 5 stars. However, "the genius" who designed the showers did not think about tall people at all. If you are taller than 178cm, you will have to arch your back if you wish to have a shower.

Positive experience: Dumbbells everywhere left on the floor, I could claim for a slip, trip and fall hazard!! needs someone to look for people who don’t put the weights back in place, not to stay in the back room hidden watching Netflix!! also the music playing in the background is too loud for my earbuds, and is only for black African taste, apart from that is alright

Negative experience: I had an incident . Lost my wallet. Someone kind handed to member of staff. First they were very unhelpful and than handed it back but missing £100 cash I had . Saw 4 staff member, no one helped to check CCTV and manager now says I can't help you

Fantastic experience: Nice new gym, plenty of high tech equipment. I would just suggest avoid going during peak hours. Other than that great addition to high Wycombe

Positive experience: I like the atmosphere. I am the woman that goes to train. I have a plan and I follow it. I come from Gran Buenos Aires, San Martin. Here in England, gyms don't have trainers that prepare you for a workout routine a serious one, different days different objectives with your name on it! No, it's just a machine and a sole person ( that hardly ever looks like a trainer) or nothing. So I have become very lazy, 2 series of 1:1 upper:lower body type of exercise. And if I go three times it's much. This is England here ppl drink up to fall asleep in from of the tv. Here you need to pay for a trainer that watches your workout. I think it may have proper gyms, I guess were boxes train!

Positive experience: Good classes, but a but annoying having to queue to put code in getting out!!

Positive experience: Great gym, main concern when participating in yoga or pilates when our bodies are In certain positions there should be a bit of privacy. Maybe frosted glass a quarter of the way up. Also more accessible paper towels situated around the gym.

Fantastic experience: I went to this gym day one, when it opened its door. The gym is well equipped, good kit! large and probably the best gym in this town. It's well layed out, to offer every gym gooer and health and fitness nut. It's got everything! Only downside for me is it's far to busy for my liking. Because it's in a good location based in town and the surrounding areas. You will find yourself surrounded by people at any given time. And if your like me who wants to mind there own buisness get on with your workout, get in and get out you will actually find yourself spending that bit more time here just waiting for equipment if your working on a specific muscle group. The good thing is. While alot of people will up and change to this gym. As it has a good membership base, This will actually make the other gyms around slightly less busy. All in all its a very good gym, but one to avoid if your not into large crowds and busy busy, look at me look at me showy showy stuff. Please view my videos for examples

Positive experience: Lovely gym. 10/10 cardio wise. Weight machine area leaves a fair bit to desire, with it being full and 9/10 times your machine is always taken. The track and field area is a fine inclusion. Free-weights area is very nice. The inclusion of the clocks, plenty of natural light and the TVs are great. Love it and will definitely stay for a good while

Negative experience: Joined up months ago, opened much later than they first said, booked an induction class the first week it was open and no-one turned up to take the class

Positive experience: Amazing gym and lovely staff but music unbearably loud - could hear through noise blocking AirPods and it just became stressful

Fantastic experience: Went to buzz Gym for the first time today to do workouts on the machines and it was really good the place is tidy and clean, the staff are very helpful and the atmosphere at the gym was amazing definitely will be returning.

Fantastic experience: Went to the gym today for a short cardio workout and the equipment was reliable and clean, the staff are super helpful and the atmosphere was amazing. My only gripe is the door code lock system as it took me a few attempts before i was able to leave the gym.

Negative experience: Considering this gym hasn’t even opened even though it states it was money to open in April (notably no date given) there is absolutely ZERO communication from the admin / info emails to buzz gyms plural and the sisters ones in neighbouring towns have no information about this. I’ve not even gone to a session and already feel this is place oozes poor communication skills which leads me to wonder how efficient and reliable will this gym even be. (Will update when finally get either a response or it opens and get to attend), however felt this needs to be addressed.
