Breadsall Priory Leisure Club

Negative experience: We visited Breadsall Priory Leisure Club for a relaxing evening with a friend who’s a member, expecting the great experience we’ve had in the past. Unfortunately, our visit was ruined by the receptionist, Kerry Lambert, who was incredibly rude and sarcastic when we asked for a day pass. She mocked us for using the “wrong terminology” and even threatened to charge us full price. As someone who works in customer service, I was shocked by her attitude — completely unacceptable for such an establishment. Really disappointing experience that’s made us rethink returning.

Fantastic experience: The gym is small but very friendly. It has all the equipment you need, from free weights to machines for cardio and strength. The studio is compact, however has a good selection of classes. The best part is the pool area, very grand and a wonderful jacuzzi, steam and sauna. Also lots of chill out areas, as well as the lovely restaurant and bar in the hotel part of the building.

Fantastic experience: We attended the Pavillion at Breadsall Priory for our treasured brother in laws life celebration. The venue was perfect, very helpful staff who were professional and attentive. The food was outstanding, I was expecting sandwiches and a typical cold buffet. There were hot choices and plenty of it.

Positive experience: Facilities suit me, gym with cardio room, weight room including free weights and a studio with a number of classes at different times of the day. The pool area has a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. The changing area is perhaps due a refresh but that's nothing major. This is a hotel, I haven't stayed so can't comment, heavily golf focused, it's located in a beautiful setting and is well maintained. Lovely, friendly helpful staff on the leisure side.

Fantastic experience: Recently joined the Leisure Club on a recommendation from a friend, who is a member. Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit as a member. Sauna, steam room, swimming pool and jacuzzi all first rate. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's a great place to unwind and remove the stresses of life. Relaxed atmosphere. A peaceful solution to life's challenges. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: It's such a nice place , we enjoyed a lot !

Positive experience: All things being equal this is a nice place to stay especially if you like your golf. But there are a few things that could do with a bit more attention, like being able to rest your arms on the table without them getting sticky from not being cleaned properly, teaching the chef to prepare a prawn cocktail with taste and visually attractive. On the up side staff were very polite and dealt with requests, rooms are very good clean with plenty of towels and soap also coffee and tea also like the water stations dotted around the corridors in the accomodation part of the resort. Altogether a good stay but unfortunately the bad points stood out to much.

Positive experience: The pool and spa is great, not too busy, and easy parking. I’m not a golfer, but the grounds look good.

Positive experience: Not modern, just a good old pub with good beers that's well looked after. Food is ok, just your usual UK pub grub.

Fantastic experience: The family and I had a great stay here. The wife and kids enjoyed the indoor pool and sauna and the stay was relaxed with very well-kept grounds. It's a golfing hotel and hosts a couple of nice bars to lose the night in if that's your thing. If you catch a nice day the walks are lovely. The breakfast was also fantastic with a variety of choices and great service.

Fantastic experience: Quality hotel in beautiful surroundings. No doubt a golfer's dream but I attended for a meeting. Meeting room and bedroom excellent both bright and spacious. Food was excellent but one or two things lacking probably due to staff number difficulties ie one very hard working barman in bar, needed two.

Fantastic experience: Enjoy a daily workout in the gym.

Negative experience: Disappointing for such an impressive building.
