Fantastic experience: Used the swimming pool with a free pass from a local holiday let. The pool was clean and had decent opening times. The staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit and the water wasn't cold either.

Positive experience: The club's a bit out of town, but easily walkable from Amble centre. We only used the pool. The lifeguards were very attentive and brought toys for our three-year-old grandson. We were also offered a little life jacket, though the youngster decided he knew and loved his armbands. The guards also took time to look after my wallet whilst we were in and to have a wee blether on leaving. Good guys. There is a main pool and one for learners. They were fine, as were the changing facilities. Only two other adults were in some of the hour we were there. More noise and splashing would actually have improved things. It was pretty quiet!

Fantastic experience: Great leisure centre. If you sign up for a single month it costs £40 one off. That covers you for the sauna/steam room pool and gym. Gym is fairly big and has all the basics. There’s 3 treadmills, dumbbells weights etc. All you need for a basic workout. The pool is quite busy so there is that downside as it isn’t huge but it is what it is. All in all this is good value. There is another gym in amble however they do not have showers/pool or any of those extras that you get here for the exact same money.

Positive experience: Great swimming pool for a birthday party. Be aware that any child under the age of 8 years needs an adult in the pool (2 children or adult) but so much fun with the large foam floats. Lots of other facilities including two outdoor play parks, sitting different age groups.

Fantastic experience: Brand new gym for 2018..... excellent changing facilities....huge pool (by myself most of the 60 mins)...great sauna and fantastic steam room ...even the showers were red hot with no dead legs ....well done all involved ....bravo !!!!!

Negative experience: I attended the pool with my two very excited children only to be advised that I would NOT be able to take them in to enjoy the pool as apparently one parent is now deemed unable to safely look after their two children while at the ages of 3 and 6 years old. Both children have full float suits and extra arm bands for my 3 year old daughter, in addition my 6 year old son is also an independent swimmer. However, these safety efforts I was told were not enough. I find it very strange that this rule now exists as I have managed independently to monitor both children and ensure their safety and wellbeing at this facility since they were born. Furthermore, as a single parent (with no immediate family living close by) I feel stigmatised and frustrated that I now have to travel 8 - 10 miles away to either Alnwick or Ashington where as with all other local facilities this new rule has not come in to force, for myself and my children to enjoy a play/swim in a pool. What a rubbish service this has turned in to for local parents in Amble. Even the staff seemed embarrassed when explaining this rule and could not give me a good reason why it exists, only that it must have been a shareholders decision, great!
