Positive experience: We regularly play tennis at this location and feel incredibly fortunate to have access to such high-quality public courts in this part of London. Finding well-maintained, accessible courts in the city can often be a challenge, but these facilities are a real gem. The courts are kept in excellent condition, with smooth surfaces and clear markings, which makes every game more enjoyable and allows players to focus on their skills rather than dealing with poor maintenance. The surrounding area is pleasant and inviting, creating a comfortable environment to warm up before a match or cool down afterward. The space is also well-organized, making it easy for players to book sessions and share the courts without feeling overcrowded. Whether playing casually with friends or practicing more seriously, these courts provide a fantastic venue. Having such reliable public facilities nearby is a real advantage for anyone who enjoys tennis regularly. It encourages us to play more often, stay active, and enjoy the sport in a convenient, welcoming setting.
Thank you, Otto, for sharing your experience with us. We're delighted to hear that you enjoy playing tennis at Paddington Recreation Ground and appreciate the quality of our courts. It's wonderful to know that the facilities and surroundings contribute to your enjoyment of the sport. We hope you continue to have many more enjoyable games with us. Thank you for your kind words. Negative experience: We booked a tennis court. It’s raining like crazy. We had to give a call and they refused to refund us with the excuse that the court is open. I wouldn’t trust their services in the future

Positive experience: We play tennis here on a regular basis. So lucky to have such high quality public courts in this area of London.
Negative experience: Do not check the playground area or clean once a complaint has been made. Fox poo which is extremely dangerous especially to children. Avoid.

Thank you for your review. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your time at Paddington Recreation Ground. It's wonderful to know that you consider it one of the best green spaces in London. We hope to welcome you back soon. Paddington Recreation Ground
Fantastic experience: There r 2 play areas. 1 is for younger children, and the other is for older children. The play areas have gates and a path in-between them but children can go across a bridge instead. The bridge is accessed via the ship. The older section has a huge climbing frame, zip wire, seesaw, climbing rocks, trampoline, rope spider's web, and more. The younger section has a smaller climbing frame, little buildings, wooden train, train station, swings, nest swing, roundabout, musical instruments, and the ship. There is also a café, toilets and lots of sports areas.
Thank you, Lauretta, for your wonderful review. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the play areas and all the facilities we offer at Paddington Recreation Ground. It's great to know that both the younger and older children's sections provided a fun and engaging experience. We hope to see you and your family again soon. Paddington Recreation Ground

Positive experience: My dog loves this park! Such a nice open space with plenty of seating and facilities! Would be nice if there was a car park!
Fantastic experience: The outdoor gym is the best one I've used..They also have a 400 metre running track..And numerous tennis courts ,well worth a visit..
Fantastic experience: Easy to access with a great variety of sports courts, playgrounds and facilities.
Fantastic experience: "This park is an absolute gem! It has amazing play areas for kids, plenty of safe open space, and lovely picnic tables and benches for families to relax. The highlight is the fun little sheep that connects two areas – such a unique touch! Everything is clean, well-maintained, and perfect for a day out in Paddington. Highly recommend for families!"
Negative experience: About 25 Tennis courts but only one Basketball court that's booked out most of the time for football… UK basketball is a shambles.
Fantastic experience: It’s a great local park with plenty of facilities including a gym, tennis courts, a football field, a cricket ground, and a running track. There are lots of benches to sit on, a kids' playground, a small sandpit area for jumping, and even a café. It also has separate zones for dog training and for people who prefer to stay away from dogs.
Fantastic experience: Lovely place to spend time with family, friends or kids
Fantastic experience: hot weather in London, spending time in this green oasis is so tranquil. For those who want more there are plent of options from tennis courts to cricket facilities. But for me anything in the high 20 degrees can be unbearable inthe city, so the greeneery is calming and welcoming
Fantastic experience: You can enjoy this park all day long, doing all the sports activities you want while staying with your families. Amazing.
Fantastic experience: Good place for joggers and runners also I recommend the cafeteria.
Fantastic experience: A great park for the public, there is so much everyone of any age and ability. You can run on the astro turf track, play tennis, bring your own skipping rope and jump, stretch, parqore, use the public gym machines, there is a cafe for snacks, sweets and treats, free public toilets, dogs allowed, grass areas, fenced fields for football, and other activities, sandbox for long jump runs, endless activity choices, friendly neighbourhood, beautifully kept. Clean and tidy.
Fantastic experience: Sorry but I could not find Paddington the Bear very disappointed still is an amazing place
Negative experience: Have experienced a lot of anti-social behaviour here in the past few months. They really need more vigilant security people around especially in the evenings. Do not feel safe here anymore.
Positive experience: Used to be such a lovely park. Dangerous now with all the “youths” aggressively riding around the pavement in stolen lime bikes making it unsafe for children.
Fantastic experience: Lovely park, great service at the cafe where there is a special fenced area to sit and relax with your dog.
Fantastic experience: Only went to the dog area today but it was lovely. The dogs I had with me had a lovely time. Met a few new dogs for them to interact with overall a lovely experience
Positive experience: We came for a walk and really enjoyed it. Lots to do and see. Loved the running track as well as the rose garden. My friend gave the ice cream a thumbs up too ! Pistachio; with a lovely crispy fresh cone
Negative experience: Used to be a beautiful place to walk. Now it is nothing but a toilet for dogs. No consideration for children playing on the green whatsoever. Dogs are even in the Rose Garden too. Such a shame
Fantastic experience: One of the best playgrounds in London
Fantastic experience: I love this place, peaceful and quiet
Fantastic experience: Amazing park. Great playground for the kids of different age.
Fantastic experience: Paddington Recreation Ground is a wonderful public park located in the heart of London. It is a wonderful place, ideal for walking, playing sports or just relaxing in the fresh air.
Fantastic experience: Paddington Recreation Ground is a great place to relax and be active in the heart of London. Situated in Paddington, the park offers a wide range of facilities and services for all ages.
Fantastic experience: Paddington Recreation Ground is a 27-acre oasis in central London, offering a diverse range of facilities catering to both relaxation and active pursuits.
Fantastic experience: Paddington Recreation Ground is a beautiful park in West London, ideal for walking, exercising and family fun. It is well maintained, spacious and offers a range of facilities including jogging tracks, tennis courts, football pitches and playgr
Fantastic experience: It's a nice compact park which has almost everything - tennis, basketball, football, cricket nets, athletics track, a wildlife area. Beautiful quiet gardens. A lovely, lovely place overall.
Fantastic experience: A place to explore life in almost central London/ Westminster. Parks in London are very interesting and the government investments for people wellbeing is appropriated.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful, huge park with so many options for activities. Tennis, football, running. And there is also a nice coffee shop. And we loved the playground too.
Negative experience: They take absolutely no responsibility for the cars that we park on their ground.Their cameras don’t work or it seems like they are hiding something. Somebody broke into my car on the car park tonight and the manager didn’t even spoke to me. I asked the lady at the reception that I would like to speak to the manager but he didn’t even bother to spoke to me. However I have been told from somebody that works in there that cars are being broken into at least ones a week on that car park. Please be aware all of you because it seems like someone from Paddington recreation ground is connected in one way or another to the thieves!!! Think twice before you park your car in there
Fantastic experience: Suitable for all ages, it's got a running track, big open space park for picnic, place for football, tennis a cafe n maybe alot more that I avnt seen, really nice fun place.
Positive experience: I mainly go here for the football every Tuesday evening, but this place has a bit of everything, with 4G football pitches, tennis courts, cricket lanes, gym and an athletics track. Lots of green spaces where you can relax with friends and there's a nice canteen/cafe that has a range of hot and cold meals and snacks. (The cafe also does really tasty ice creams in the summer as well)
Fantastic experience: My neighbourhood park. lovely big playground for the kids, I also feel so safe because the park staff are always around, nice little cafe, park is always clean, friendly people about. My kids have so much fun when I take them to Paddington rec. I would recommend
Fantastic experience: One of the best parks in London and the perfect place to walk the dog, relax or work out. It has a great cafe, children’s park, tennis courts, gym, athletics track, rose garden, dog training enclosures, outdoor workout equipment and football pitches, this park has it all. I’ve walked my dog here nearly every morning for 14 years and I love it.
Positive experience: A good urban local facility for short walks, relaxation, and sports. Not very big though, quite compact. For a little quiet, head to the rose gardens. The cafe is a missed opportunity for someone to come in and improve everything about it - it's very basic, and behind the times.
Positive experience: Good running track, but overpopulated by people walking, hanging out. When it's crowdy it's difficult to run. Staff should police the track to make sure that it's used for running - for walks, the park has a nice pathway all around. Pitches are nice, but normally busy.
Positive experience: Great all round park but for early birds it’s unfair for the pitches to open at 8. They should be open when not booked at all times for the community to use. We have a lot of kids who would love the use the facilities early morning instead of sitting at home.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful place and excellent sports facilities including tennis courts, football fields, basketball courts and running track with state of the art gym and swimming pool
Fantastic experience: One of London's community gems. Basketball, football, running, hockey, gyms, cricket, all in a space the size of a postage stamp. Amazing.
Fantastic experience: My daughter and I love this park very much. It is only 2 minutes from my house and I go every day.
Negative experience: Very good park but too many dogs without managing ,if you don’t like dogs or afraid them, don’t get in there for a walk, sometimes, the unleaded dog will run to you and roar on you!It is very bad for young and old people!
Fantastic experience: The renovation to this park is amazing. I particularly like the functional / parkour spot on the end of the track.
Fantastic experience: Paddington Recreation Ground is well maintained, with lovely views and plenty of green space, making it perfect for a walk or run. The park offers great amenities, including a playground for kids, toilets, and convenient car parking. The café is a nice spot to grab a coffee or a snack while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. There are also excellent sports facilities for those looking to be active. Whether you’re visiting for exercise, relaxation, or family time, Paddington Recreation Ground is a great place to get away from the busy city.
Positive experience: It’s a lovely park but people playing music out their Bluetooth speakers has ruined the peacefulness of it. Now you’re lucky to find a spot on a nice day where you don’t have to listen to someone else’s music. Such an obnoxious and selfish thing to assume other people want to listen to your music. Also headphones are cheap.
Positive experience: Nice garden to have some activities for adults and children.
Positive experience: Very nice generally, but this week and last, I have found the condition of the female toilets in the pavilion to be quite unsanitary, so be sure to check the condition of the cubicles before you pick one!
Fantastic experience: Well managed, many facilities which are safe and interesting.
Positive experience: A good sports track, playing fields, and decent sized picnic area. Also a nice play area for children and a good sized cafe with very nice food. Works are being done to some areas meaning unless you go there regularly or are a local it can be confusing navigating past the cut off areas!
Fantastic experience: Grounds are huge and well kept, friendly staff, amazing outdoor tennis and track facilities. Green space is lovely, as are the gardens. Loved it!
Fantastic experience: Very nice park with the natural part and the pond, quite a few hidden corners and trails, coffee, playground and much more!
Negative experience: Everyone Active ruined this park with uncommunicative, unreasonable, senseless booking practices. Even when some of the courts should be open they're not, and the personnel just doesn't provide either good explanation nor service. Typical of people who know they're in the wrong but have to stay on their positions by principle. It's a shame because it used to be a great park and still is to some degree. Just badly managed in terms of court bookings. If you're into basketball, forget about it. Find somewhere else
Positive experience: Gets a bit rowdy in the summer when it’s very busy, but generally this place is nice to have lunch or walk though as a shortcut, but realistically it’s too busy to relax and the actual dog park in it is hardly used. There is a large children’s play ground and a tiny loose garden as well as large sporting areas.
Negative experience: This is regarding the gym. There is a lot of mould on the ceiling of men’s changing room, and it smells in there. Some equipment is not functioning too. With such basic standards not being met, I recommend going to a different gym.
Fantastic experience: Something for everyone. From exercise to relaxation. There is a gym as well as a cafe. It is beautiful during the summer. Someone is always working out, so you get motivated to work on yourself.
Negative experience: Paying 20 quid to play without lights. While the park lights are on. Great courts but horrible tennis court management
Fantastic experience: Amazing rec ground with lots of sports facilities and loads of open spaces to lie down and tan, or chase dogs and kids around all year round. There's a cafe and playground in the middle, perfect for families and children. Also great to grab a drink after doing sports on track, in the various football fields, tennis courts or the gym. Very popular for cricketers - you'll often have a game going on the lawn. Overall very lovely.
Fantastic experience: This is the best park around , theres no comparison nor competition! It has everything for everyone ! They have - cricket nets , natural “forest “ walk , gym , a massive playground, a cafe , a cricket pitch , table tennis , tennis (syn and tar ) dog play areas (3 of them ) , hockey pitch , 11 aside big pitch , 2 6aside football pitches or 1 7 aside big pitch , full size running track , basketball court , parkour area , outdoor gym (3) , outdoor 4 aside football pitch, large flower area for relaxation. Clean, clear and wide footpaths ,the whole park is easily accessible and wheelchair friendly. Security can be spotted around the park. This park is the heart beat of this community, it is a gem ! Thank you What else does anyone want! Seriously come on !
Fantastic experience: Very nice park.
Fantastic experience: This is a serene and welcoming green oasis. The well-maintained grounds, lush lawns, and recreational facilities provide a perfect escape from urban life. It's a fantastic place for picnics, leisurely walks, or outdoor sports. What's truly commendable is the dedication to offering a range of activities for people of all ages. The playgrounds, sports courts, and fitness equipment make it an ideal destination for families and fitness enthusiasts. The park's cleanliness and overall organisation are noteworthy, creating a pleasant environment for visitors. This is a precious resource in the area, offering a slice of tranquillity amidst the bustling streets.
Positive experience: Spacious ground. Not very clean toilets. Also, the exercise bars should be left available for people that want actually exercise not for children and families to play.
Fantastic experience: Huge space with lots of facilities for locals! Such as football, tennis, cricket, gym and children's play area! Restaurant and restrooms, also dog friendly spaces!
Positive experience: Me and my friends went here and we had a great time, I would recommend the cafe there if you want some snacks. Although it is a bit pricey, I wouldn't recommend using the toilets because they're not that well kept or clean.
Fantastic experience: Two wildlife walks, tennis courts, a gym, two large playgrounds football and cricket areas and large grassy areas (and toilets which are well maintained!) Wonderful park.
Positive experience: Nice place for a stroll Lots of excerise equipment Running track Dog friendly Has a cafe with nice friendly staff
Positive experience: Great local park. This park has seen generations of families through the years and it has gone through some positive changes. Park opens from 630am to about 9pm. Great facilities; cafe gym, running track, nature gardens, dog facilities etc. Great for families and individuals..support local parks!
Fantastic experience: It is a lovely park with security for safety and a cafe and hockey pitches and 3 AstroTurf piches for football, a running track, basketball (outdoor)and many tennis courts next to some lovely gardens and cricket training ground and much more...
Fantastic experience: Always nice to visit Pad Rec as my local park. It’s easy enough to book a tennis court or cricket pitch if you’re into sports and despite the summer when every other place is fully booked you can find a court to play tennis here on both synthetic and tarmac. It’s a different story if you want to book classes through everyone active though. Great facilities for running, football, hockey and other sports as well as picnic with the small cafe offering coffee and refreshments.
Positive experience: Gone is the cycle track I used to race on in the 80's and it's been replaced by an athletics one with a football pitch in the middle of it. There's an outdoor gym too which I'm very much in favor of. The park is clean which is a rarity in London now and its a good place to get active or relax on a summer's dsy.
Fantastic experience: One of our favorite parks in London. Very well suited for active families looking for a place that caters to a range of interests and ages. Courts are flexible but advise calling ahead to avoid conflict with open hours and scheduled times. The Rose Garden is a nice quite space if you need a calmer environments. The pitches and courts are well maintained to a level of professionalism not commonly found in open parks. The basketball court is manageable for general recreation but not at the same size and scale compared football (but still a good court for adults and youth).
Fantastic experience: Great retreat into the late sun of May.
Fantastic experience: EveryoneActive have great staff who were super helpful when I wanted to book a fb pitch space for my son's bday party! They were kind, helpful and patient with my booking - a great team, thank you! The park is absolutely gorgeous and has everything including a lovely cafe and decent pizza!
Positive experience: Overall the park is nice place but they really need to improve the lighting as when the football / Hocky pitches are not in use the lighting is verry poor in some areas.
Positive experience: Lovely Park with many Amenities. Several entrances. Restaurant, Restroom, Athletic Track, Gym, Cricket, Bowling, Kids Play Area, Flower Garden, Tennis, Cricket Nature Walk, Football, Open space grass area. Good transport access by bus or train.
Positive experience: Very good place to jog or play football.
Fantastic experience: Hi guys this is one of my favorite parks, there is parking for cars, there is a recreational area for dogs, fantastic I must say, if you think you can come here with your dog and let him have fun through a canine path very nice and I must say well done and also well maintained. I always enter from the main entrance in Carlton vale, where you enter and find yourself in front of a roundabout, yes you go to the left you go towards the car park and the dog area that I have just listed. If we continue on foot instead we can notice on the left a path inside the vegetation which is also well cared for, we continue forward and on the right we can see how the photos I have put of the very distinct playgrounds for children, the section for older children and the section for younger children, a little further on there is a very nice play area with miniature palaces, I noticed that in this park there are various playgrounds that can be easily booked , even if I see many school groups training so I don't know how free it can be but don't give up if you are interested in phone calls. I could see a professional playing sports field with the racing ring going around the field. In addition, like all parks, I noticed other large areas where you can indulge yourself and possibly let go of the dogs and why not let go of the children who run and have fun. I leave included some photos that could be useful for you, such as the parking hours and the bulletin board with telephone numbers.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant park, loads of athletic areas, dog areas and well maintained, only grumble is the onside Cafe. £5.70 for a bacon and egg sandwich and the most skinniest sandwich ever, 1 piece of bacon as hard as cardboard and a fried egg, you would not even know there was a filling as so little?? Surely for £5.70 you'd have thought a couple of rashers at least
Fantastic experience: Fantastic green space, with lots of activity and great facilities (see photo). There are also quiet gardens and spaces to exercise your dog.
Negative experience: Extremely disappointed in the attitude of the staff. The park was ok but the playground equipment was old and falling apart, and the bathrooms were disgusting. The café offers a really good chioce of delicious food. It is ok if you want to spend some time outdoors with family. But definitely not my place!
Fantastic experience: Great park with so many amenities and also great sense of community. Theres a massive field, forest, gardens, outdoor gym, track and field, baseball area, etc. Theres also a huge playground for kids.
