Fantastic experience: An amazing gym and spa! I have been a member at the gym for the last 5 months now and love the place. Gym area is never too busy and can always get on what you want. The spa area is perfect to unwind and chill out after a workout. The classes are Brilliant. Boxing with Michael on a Monday and Wednesday is a must! The staff are always warm welcoming.. special shoutout to Lisa who is always great! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I love this place - I think it’s great value for money and the staff are always so welcoming! My winter saviour for sure. The only issue I have with it, is sometimes everywhere is very wet. Changing rooms and access to pool. However, this is not all the time and the staff keep on top of it. Thanks

Negative experience: Circle and Gym Spa rarely have equipment that works properly, and they hardly ever take feedback seriously. They seem more focused on making money than improving their facilities, and it looks like many of their reviews are fake.

Fantastic experience: An amazing spa with great facilities - clean, peaceful, and not crowded. I had my massage with Ali, and he is truly the best! I already booked another treatment with him. If you’re feeling stressed, I highly recommend the Multidimensional Massage by Ali — it’s incredible!

Fantastic experience: Great gym, relaxed and friendly environment, lead by the mgr Shane. Never too packed and easy to enter. Good pool and sauna. The Spa is fantastic and I highly recommend the massage treatments, Marilyn is my go to and works wonders!

Fantastic experience: Came here recently for a spa day Excellent greeting and enjoyed the Jacuzzi sauna and steam room 10 out of 10 for aromatheraphy Massage. Highly recommend this place.

Negative experience: I was a member for many years, however I have recently cancelled my membership. As much as I liked the the gym I felt morally I had to leave. I was informed from multiple members that a staff member called Michael is personal training members (members are paying him) without fully completing the course nor does he have insurance to do this! I really hope that no members get injured!! I think it is disgraceful he is allowed to do this!

Fantastic experience: I love this gym. Been going for about 5 months now, the staff are super friendly and make you feel very welcome - special shoutout to Mikey! The equipment is good and the gym is never too crowded, a great array of classes to join as well.

Negative experience: SCAM. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Many people have fell for their lies. They scam and rush you into signing their contract without making you aware of a two-month cancellation policy. Just to be clear they LIED to me when I asked them whether I can cancel anytime and I confirmed this with them multiple times. Had I been aware of their two-month cancellation policy I would have not signed up. They have completely ignored my request to complain and are very unprofessional on email - more specifically LISA. Please save yourself the headache. I have a had a recent car accident and they are still trying to charge me for this gym even after sending them proof and a doctors note. I will screenshot and upload how horrible they have been communicating with me via emails.

Fantastic experience: I have such a great opinion of this gym. Really good equipment and facilities, I spend at least two evenings a week chilling in the Spa. Because it's small it's easy to get to know people and ive really noticed the staff make an effort to be welcoming and remember your name. Small classes feel like great value for money. High quality without being snobby Special mentions go to Eve (Yin class) Ashlee (my fave high intensity class, Hypop) and Michael (welcoming and kind at reviptin)

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. I've tried different gyms but never been able to stick to one, and at The Circle I finally found a place that I love. Here I can take a break from London's chaos, unwind and relax. Friendly staff, cozy and clean spaces and amazing selection of classes! Aaand a special shout out to Michael and the boxing class: if you're looking for a way to kick out your stress, you should definitely join - it's awesome!

Lisa in particular was able to sort out admin elements that would have been a massive headache at a normal gym. 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: Cannot speak highly enough of this place. A real sanctuary hidden amongst the crazy hustle and bustle of London. The gym setup and equipment quality is great, split across multiple rooms so even when it’s crowded, it doesn’t feel like everyone is crawling over each other. But it’s the spa, sauna and pool that set this gym apart from any I’ve been to. Recovery has never been more satisfying or relaxing. Coupled with great staff, this place is a real gem. Top tier.

Negative experience: Avoid. Overpriced and seriously underwhelming. So many better local gyms. Certainly not a hidden gem, just a rip off.

Fantastic experience: A Hidden Gem to the max! Such amazing vibes here. Tranquil, clean, and quiet (almost unheard of in Central London). The gym has more than everything I need, the machines are top tier and still look/feel brand new. The spa facilities are also such a treat after a workout. I am in two minds - are the facilities or the staff the best part of the Circle Gym and Spa? I can’t decide! The staff are warm, professional, and always go the extra mile. A special shoutout to Lisa for being so lovely every single time! Very fairly priced for the service and facilities provided, and absolutely deserves 5 stars. Fantastic experience: I’ve been a proud member of this gym for over 5 years, and it’s honestly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The variety of facilities is top notch from the well equipped weight room and cardio area to the studio with a boxing bag that I love using. The swimming pool, sauna, steam room, infrared sauna, and jacuzzi offer the perfect mix of fitness and recovery. The atmosphere is always welcoming with good vibes all around. It’s more than just a gym it’s a space that keeps me motivated and feeling great year round!

Fantastic experience: I first joined this gym and spa 7 years ago since then I had moved out of the area and then moved back again, I decided to sign up in October last year and noticed so many positive changes! It was a great gym 7 years ago but the changes have really brought this gym and spa to a higher level! I tend to use the gym during the week in the mornings and it’s never too busy, the running machines are amazing! And there’s always space in the weights room to get on a machine unlike some other gyms. I’ve recently started boxing classes with Michael on a Monday and Wednesday evening and he really makes you feel welcome as a beginner with no previous boxing experience, the classes are fun and really make you get a sweat on! Finally to top it off the spa area is very well kept and a well needed space after a good workout 10/10

Fantastic experience: My wife booked me a session with Ali and I would rate it as one of the top 3 massages I have had. He did a variety of different combinations as well as explained some useful stretching exercises to help increase and maintain mobility and strength. All the staff were very helpful and would definitely book again!

Mickey and Shane were incredibly friendly and welcoming, giving me a thorough tour of the gym’s facilities. There’s a strong sense of community at The Circle, which really sets it apart. Negative experience: This gym is dirty, no towels for members, full Of hen dos or airbnbs bombing the pool, broken lockers and far too small. Ive written to them multiple times on these issues and asked not to renew and been ignored every single time. Its a joke. Im therefore also highly suspicious of the exceptionally high reviews on here by people who dont seem to use google reviews Very often. Singing its praises. Better off at a council run pool. I know my experience is not unique due to friends taking swimming lessons there and being shocked at the standard.

Fantastic experience: I visited Gym & Spa Bermondsey on a guest pass and was genuinely impressed. From the moment I walked in, the staff were welcoming and made me feel comfortable, even as a first-timer. The gym itself is spacious, with a great variety of equipment and everything felt clean and well-kept. The spa facilities were a real highlight — relaxing, modern, and a perfect way to unwind after a workout. You can tell they care about creating a quality experience. Fantastic experience: I have been going to this gym for over two years now, and I really like it. The team - including Shane, Mikey, Lisa, Pan, Spencer, Leah and Helen, are so lovely - really friendly and genuinely interested in my fitness journey, which helps me keep up the discipline as it makes me feel accountable. The gym itself hits that sweet spot of being not too pricey but not too basic - the equipment is very good (most of it was switched out for new gear just before Christmas), and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed - not as intimidating as some gyms I can think of. The spa is very good - it was completely refitted just over a year ago, and you get use of a medium-size 16m pool, a jacuzzi, a cold plunge shower, a ragular sauna, an infrred sauna, and a steam room. So, you get two experineces in one - a gym visit and a spa visit.

Fantastic experience: I've been going here for the last 6 years . This is a well equipped medium sized gym with the benefit of a pool. Staff very friendly and they maintain the place very well. The price is very reasonable and has been stable for a while. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: The circle has changed my life, the staff treat me like family, also the fitness classes everyone is so supportive, we all help out each other. The spa area is amazing when you know you can also be the only one there by yourself doing self love day, you will have no one disturbing you, when people are there is well they are so welcoming even when your new. I have meet so many beautiful people there. Oh I can’t forget an about the massage where you can go have a swim, sit in the Steam room, then have a relaxing massage after. 2025 I going to be my lose weight journey and can’t wait to start my classes boxing again . And trying out the other classes .

Fantastic experience: Been a member of The Circle Gym Club for fourmonths now, and every visit makes me feel welcomed, supported, and motivated. I’m there 2-3 times a week! My coach is amazing - love him! He is constantly helping me keep up my training, even with a shoulder injury. The place is just amazing and the SPA is beyond relaxing.

Fantastic experience: My company switched gyms to here recently. Great place to workout. Excellent options for a smaller gym as it has a 3 steam/saunas. The personal trainers are good and I personally recommend the Muay Thai class on a Thursday.

Fantastic experience: I really love this place; it has everything you need in one place, from beauty to a good work-out, to relaxation. The staff feel a part of the community and i love the diversity of classes. Despite feeling on the luxurious side, it's welcoming - people don't have an air of arrogance. So far despite the small size it hasn't felt overpacked and crowded. It's a one stop shop for self-care. I'm working a lot on pain management at the moment so it's also super handy there are services for osteopathy and spa facilities x

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs. I foolishly signed up without seeing the changing rooms. They were totally flooded (which sounded like a constant issue) and unusable once more than two others were in there. The gym isn’t good but I knew that and signed up for the sauna. Got to the sauna and it was full. When I got in people were shouting outside so it was quite the opposite of relaxing. On my way out I asked to cancel my membership (which I hadn’t even signed the papers for yet) and they are now trying to charge me £50 for my visit. Don’t make the same mistake that I did.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to this gym for many years now and there has been nothing but clean and nice facilities as well as very hardworking and polite staff that will go out of their way to help you reach whatever fitness goal you want. The environment is great for stress relief, the sauna, swimming pool and jacuzzi all contribute to that. All in all, I would highly recommend this gym to anybody who is looking to either switch gyms or looking for a gym to start out with.

Fantastic experience: Circle gym has become almost my second home, doing 2 PT-sessions per week with Damien for the last 8 weeks and it has changed my life. Every staff member are super attentitive and super-freindly and make you feel welcome and part of a community every time. I couldn't recommend them more.

Positive experience: I was a member on 2022, I chose this gym because of its convenient location and walking distance from Bermondsey. Now that I have a lot more experience in the gym I can confidently say that the free weights area will fall short of expectations to many bodybuilders who for £90 a month would expect a lot more, however it is a perfectly fine place for beginners and people generally interested in working out in a casual way. However the rest of the experience is excellent, the main area before the entrance with the Buddha statue is a haven of peace and calmness, and when it's not rainy it's the perfect place to get some work done. The pool, jacuzzi and sauna are well kept and provide a nice space to relax. The classes are I would say the main perk of the club, as there is a wide variety of them at convenient times to suit everybody's taste. Overall I'm quite happy with the experience, now that I am at a different place of my fitness journey I prefer more conventional gyms, but The Circle is a lovely place to stay healthy and break a sweat in a relaxed environment.

Fantastic experience: Hidden safe haven with group classes, work out spaces and a beautiful spa area (swimming pool + jaccuzzi + recently refurbished steam, sauna and infra-red rooms). Very friendly staff and instructors. And a newly created running club starting this Sunday 18th Aug!

Negative experience: This gym does not provide the service as advertised but will happily take your money and make it difficult to get it back even when you are able to provide evidence confirming this. It is really important that people stop allowing themselves be used to type reviews that appear positive when they’ve only had maybe 1 or 2 experiences here. Management here is a nightmare. Shane should not be allowed to continue to manage in the style he does. Other staff members are equally irritated by his presence there. I understand this might sound unprofessional for me to be aware of this. But honestly: I sympathise with them. The owner of the gym is never in the country and for some odd reason, has only left Shane with the power to do anything. Meaning if Shane is the problem, nothing can be done about it. Very disappointing. Never again

Fantastic experience: Joined here a few months ago and love it so much, a lovely small gym with very friendly members and super helpful and lovely staff. Also has a lovely swimming pool, Jacuzzi and Sauna its never too packed either which is lovely

Fantastic experience: I had a deep tissue massage with Gary and it was amazing!! all of my back and neck issues went away. He made me feel calm and advised me on stretching. Will most definitely book one with him again. Well worth it!!!

Fantastic experience: This gem of a gym is discreetly tucked away in the Shad Thames grid, close to the hurly burly of the area but you wouldn’t know it. It’s a welcoming place, with all I need for my fitness regime despite its small footprint. The principal cardio machines are in a light airy space overlooking the pool, with rowing machines, weight machines and free weights deeper into the complex. I haven’t tried the classes yet, but there’s a tempting range taking in pilates, spin, boxing and swimsanity to name just a few. And I need to treat myself to time in the spa too: steam, saunas, pool and jacuzzi. All this and a warm welcome from the team too. It’s a real asset, adding to the benefits of living in the local community.

Positive experience: Unfortunately the gym is very small and at peak time the affluence make it impossible to get the equipment you want. The changing room are inconvenient due to the lake of space to keep belongings safe and the permanent flooding from the showers. The spa and pool are good facilities (when they work) Expensive for what it is.

Fantastic experience: Been a member of the gym for 7 months. It is a hidden gem, not so busy, which gives an intimate, local vibe. That is what I’m looking for and this is why I chose The Circle, instead of other gyms in the area. All the staff members have always been very helpful and attentive.

Negative experience: My partner booked us a spa experience for my birthday. We don’t have a lot of money, so things like this are a big expense for us. The best part of the experience was the massage – despite only being 25 minutes (if only I had known the other option was a spa I have been to numerous times with longer treatment!) and hands being a little rough, both massage therapists seemed skilled and it didn’t feel as short as I thought it would. I did have to ask to change the music but once changed it was lovely and relaxing. However, it was less relaxing hearing people talking loudly outside the room and hearing the treadmills going on as I’m sensitive to noise. I was also impressed by the size of the pool and the plants were nice. However, I don’t think the spa facilities are suitable for people wanting a relaxing spa day and they should stick to serving people who are gym members. The pool is surrounded by people in the gym on treadmills and doing classes. Entering the pool, there was a man, who was very nice and friendly but also very loud and swimming with loads of splashes and it seemed we just wanted a very different vibe. There were then three consecutive swimming lessons for the rest of the time. The worst part was when a woman was doing length swimming, and rather than making space, she shouted at me and my partner saying it was “like jumping on someone’s treadmill”. That might be the case if this were an actual lane pool with designated lanes, but this is a spa pool where you would expect some non-verbal etiquette to make space for others joining the pool, as we did when others joined. I suggested she could move over to share the lane with the other person who was swimming lengths as part of their lessons, and her shouting was unwarranted and impacted the whole experience. I don’t blame her but rather feel it just proves this place is not suitable for spa goers looking for a relaxing day as it is not compatible with gym goers wanting to exercise. The rest of the facilities were okay and it was possible to negotiate spaces with others. However, there’s not enough beds and so it was difficult to share these as well. Another thing was that the spa itself seemed short staffed, so we never got the bubbly (and we wanted tea but it ran out) and the fruit was just apples and satsumas. This was comparatively disappointing. I have learnt that I will never go this spa or any other gym spa again, hotel spas are much better suited. I would love if the management could offer my partner a refund for this disappointing experience, and would recommend they service gym goers only to avoid such reviews.

Fantastic experience: Great pool and gym, the staff are amazingly nice and helpful. A little on the expensive side and day passes for your friends are £30 which is a bit hefty but definitely a little gem of a place.

Negative experience: I don’t know where to start, first of all most of the 5 star reviews are because of an incentive to bring a friend for a free spa day in return for a review, so they’re not true, secondly the manager Shane is very rude towards people and make comments behind their back this is known amongst staff and finally sign up if you don’t want to use the spa as it’s broken most of the time. EDIT: so now they are claiming that I have not visited the gym. Yes, of course you would ‍♂️

Fantastic experience: This gym is simply amazing! The classes are really great, offering a wide variety that suits all fitness levels and goals. A big thank you to Shain and Lisa for helping me choose the best classes for my goals. As always, you both are amazing. Highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful hidden gem..I was in London last week visiting friends, and they suggested a spa morning at the circle spa....from the warm welcome at the reception desk to the wonderful facilities it was a 5* treat. There was a lovely friendly calm atmosphere to the spa and we used all the facilities..sauna,hot tub, swimming pool, steam room and my personal favourite the infra-red sauna. There was loungers to relax on in between which all led to a very relaxing time and we left chilled but very refreshed..I would 100% recommend anyone to try the Circle spa.

Fantastic experience: A truly fabulous place to work out and relax! The staff are friendly and helpful and you are made to feel welcome every visit. The facilities are excellent and it is great value for money. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I want to start off with the positives. lisa and other staff at reception are helpful. Bianca too. All the trainers are helpful and friendly. Apart from Shane. Shane is an incredibly poor manager. He uses his power as main manager for wrong. It often feels like he’s angry with the world but pretending through a mask of a scary and fake smile. He has caused all the problems below, although other members have tried their best to change it and make amends. When facilities are not working, you are still expected to pay full price for something you cannot use, even though there is a pause service. Instructors leave and classes become non existent till another instructor is appointed and this can take months! Some classes which anyone can take. You can email forever and a day and Shane will take his sweet time to respond. All other staff seem to respond in a timely manner. When he does respond, it is often unhelpful.

Fantastic experience: 6 months in and it's a yes from me. The classes and spa are ace, the staff are legends and there's a real sense of community. Special mention to Michael for his great boxing classes and for Shane for always rocking a friendly smile

Fantastic experience: I joined the Circle gym few months ago and I’m satisfied with my choice. The gym is clean and well organised, the atmosphere is very peaceful and stuff is always friendly and helpful. Shane helped me choose the gym program that suits me and I’m love in it so far!

Negative experience: Shane the manager is an absolute nightmare. It is concerning that the owner would leave such a person in charge. Speaking to some other members, they also find him to be extremely passive aggressive and unhelpful. He is also having conflict with other staff. I hope the owner does see this and consider having a second manager that can also make decisions to balance things out. The spa and gym itself are not too bad but I must give it a 1 star… the whole experience has been terrible.

Fantastic experience: I recently had the most incredible deep tissue massage experience at The Circle Gym and Spa, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! Marilyn was exceptionally skilled and attentive. She took the time to understand my specific problem areas and tailored the massage accordingly. She fixed an ongoing issue with my back that's been bothering me for months and I'm very grateful! I will definitely be returning for regular sessions. If you’re looking for a top-notch deep tissue massage, look no further—this place is absolutely the best!
