Fantastic experience: I have been going to this gym a few months now I find the gym to have friendly stuff and great equipment. At times can be busy during the evening is probably the only con. I find this gym to be the cleanest gym I have ever been too.I find the atmosphere in the gym positive and motivating to get a good workout in.

Fantastic experience: I was nervous starting the gym for the first time, but All staff have been nothing but helpful and welcoming, they always go above and beyond.. the gym itself is always kept so clean! Fantastic experience: Clean gym with super friendly staff. They have a variety of equipment and they also offer consultations, personal training and group training. Additionally they have individual changing rooms, as well as individual bathrooms and showers. Free water refills as well as a vending machine with various fitness related choices of drinks and such. I love this gym and highly recommend it!

Positive experience: Normal sized gym, clean at y times of visit, friendly staff, small cardio section, no parking available. You have to find parking in nearby roads or at the sainsburys.

Negative experience: Rude staff and uncomfortable gym. Overpriced with disgusting service, often dirty and no tissues or cleaning things available UPDATE: this name obviously is not on your record, because i dont have to use my real account. I do know where the stations are. Because the gym is so packed with equipment next to each other during busy hours and not so much, these stations are often empty. For some reason i have seen it almost every time unless the gym is empty. Im talking about the main area,not where treadmills are. There are a few cleaning stations and when one was empty with a full bin, all of them were the same, u had to go to treadmills. That is during staff hours,often when there are a few people working. They wait until all stations are a complete mess to sort this out. And i do not have give my name to you as i dont want u to harass me as u do call for any random reason. I did bring issues with some of you(not about cleaning) and all i received is "there is nothing i can do." Everytime u come with a question staff dont like, they make a face and just dont help. Worst gym experience in my life and im happy not to attend this chain ever again. Also, for people who think to join. Pay attention to how fake good reviews are all the same. Some u can see these are copy/ paste. One of the recent reviews even has a little symbol at the end,like they literally copied the whole text from somewhere.
Hi, we take all feedback seriously but we have no record of a member or visitor under your name. We pride ourselves on maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, as reflected in the many reviews we have received. Our gym is equipped with multiple cleaning stations and sanitising wipes throughout the whole gym. As well as the staff being trained to uphold high standards of cleanliness and customer service and we speak extremely highly of our external cleaner who comes in daily.

Negative experience: The worst experience I have aver had. I registered with a 3 months contract. I cancelled my direct debit since in 7 months I did not go once to gym. This gym continued for 3 months to keep me registered to be able to still charge me. I was later contacted by a debt collection agency that added extra fees. Now I need to pay £179.00. They contacted me over phone to remind me to come to gym though they never informed me that if I do not inform them that I close my contract they will invoice me further. This is a malicious practice to further take money from you. Be very careful once you start a contact with them. They are selfish Also the staff member Mr Vu is very arrogant and no manners.

We’re sorry to hear you feel this way and that your experience did not meet expectations. However, we would like to clarify a few important points.
Your membership was set up with a 3-month minimum term, after which it continued on a rolling monthly basis, as outlined in the agreement signed at the start. As per our terms and conditions, cancellations must be submitted in writing with the required notice period. Simply cancelling your direct debit does not cancel the membership, and this is also clearly stated in our contract.
Despite multiple attempts to contact you during your membership period, we did not receive a formal cancellation notice from you. Only after several months of no response did the balance get passed to a third-party collections agency, which is standard procedure for unresolved accounts.
We understand this situation has been frustrating, but we are always happy to assist members in understanding their terms and resolving any concerns—provided we’re given the opportunity to do so through proper communication.
As for your comment regarding a staff member, we take customer service feedback seriously and will be reviewing the matter internally.

Negative experience: The management is horrible once you tell them you don't like to continue the gym. I could not go to gym since January and I tried to cancel it. But, now they asking me money. Now I have paid till March and still they are asking for more. You will end up paying their hidden charges. I would highly recommend to avoid this gym at all costs. Even after paying my membership fee they disabled my key fob. Also, when I sent them my p45 as a proof that I am not working anymore still, they are asking me to pay till the end of the term which is absurd.

Negative experience: Please stop calling me. the gym is okay definetly manaegable but i dont agree with the price and its just a tad too far for me to travel. Please once people say they are not interested leave them alone……. Same issue with my friend i come down for a free trial with.. im still getting emails and calls despite constantly saying we are not interested..

Fantastic experience: Literally just started coming here, but the staff, the vibes are absolutely immaculate, didn’t feel embarrassed to ask questions and was encouraged to ask and even try equipment out as well went to a functional fitness class with Kelli, it was great she was accommodating and encouraging, didn’t feel embarrassed when I had stop multiple times with a workout, just told me to take it easy but also pushed me which was great!!! The area is always kept clean and there’s enough equipment for everyone! Will definitely keep coming here!!

Fantastic experience: Staff are friendly and approachable. Toilets and shower most of the time are clean and organized. The equipment are well organized and seeing staff and gym goers sanitize it. The layout is a bit confusing at first but comparing it to other location I would say that this location is way better

Positive experience: This is a decent enough gym - everything is clean and new, so that's always a plus. 24/7 is also a great plus, and people are respectful and put their weights away. However, I find that the gym itself is a tad too small for my liking and quite often doesn't have enough barbell gear - only 3 racks to be used for both squats and bench press. A solid gym, but it has some limitations that stop it from getting 5 stars in my opinion.

Fantastic experience: This is my local gym and we couldn’t wait to have one on a neighbourhood. This gym has made our life so much easier. Great workout place with such a lovely staffs. Always helpful. Excellent equipments and for now most exciting part is less crowded . I hope as the gym subscribers grow they will be extending the space. Fantastic experience: Amazing Gym with all the latest gym equipment ideal for fitness and bodybuilding. Clean and well managed, since going here it has been spotless throughout. Great and friendly staff members always on hand to assist with queries etc. The gym is less than 2 years old, so everything is pretty much brand new. There are more than enough equipment so you are never waiting around long. Honestly this gym is perfect, free parking opposite the gym, never crowded or too busy, professional staff members and fully stocked vending machine. Keep it up guys

Fantastic experience: I really enjoy training with Gerald Latifi he’s getting me back up too speed as I’m an professional football player. The facilities are very good, the community is good also, loads of friendly people that say hello which is nice. I would advise to come in the mornings as that’s the most quiet and peaceful times to train.

Everyone there is extremely friendly and welcoming - I have been coming since they opened and have been on a PT course with Juan who has been incredible in helping me become a better version of myself!! Don’t know where I’d be without his guidance and support in not just strength training and weight loss, but with nutrition and overall health too. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!!!

Fantastic experience: The gym is always clean, and the equipment is well-maintained, offering everything I need for both cardio and strength training. Fantastic experience: The gym is bright and inviting, with big windows letting in plenty of natural light. The equipment is all brand new and well-maintained, which is a huge plus. The staff are incredibly friendly and always come up with fun challenges and supportive guidance. I haven’t tried the trainers yet, but I’m confident they’re excellent too. Highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: I recently signed up to this gym in Abbey Wood. Overall, it is a great gym and would recommend it 100%. Firstly, the gym is well located as it is 10-min walk from the train station. It is open 24/7 which is convenient. The amenities are brand new and well maintained. The staff is adamant on asking customers to clean regularly the machines after they use it. Secondly, the process from A to Z to join the gym went very smoothly. I enquired through the website and got a staff reaching out to me within 24 hours. They booked me for an appointment (whilst bearing in mind my schedule) and made sure to call me 24h before the appointment day to ensure I would attend the appointment. I was offered a free gym session with my partner on that day and the staff would not mind to show you how to use the machines. Last but not least, the staff is lovely. They would always remember my name (which is a really nice touch) which I appreciate! The only area of improvement I would suggest is the fitness consultation. Whilst it is a great initiative, I wish the PT I was offered to meet presented a clear structure of what a fitness consultation and how we would proceed. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this gym and to not be afraid to sign up, as I am myself novice to this world. The staff is super lovely and the environment is friendly :)

Fantastic experience: It's a great place to train, there's a good variety of equipment and lots of space to exercise. All the machines are in good working order and the staff are very helpful and friendly, especially Kelly. Fantastic experience: From the day I joined, I have felt incredibly welcome. The gym is amazing, top-notch equipment, spacious, super clean and the team here are genuinely the nicest, most supportive and encouraging people. If I’m ever in doubt about how to use a piece of equipment or if I want to check that my form is correct, the team are always on hand to assist me and even hit my PB’s. Having previously trained at other gyms, I would feel quite anxious/nervous about visiting and so in turn would stop going after a few sessions but, since joining AF Abbey Wood, my nerves/anxiety are no longer there and I actually feel excited to train and see my gym family! The members here are also very kind, helpful and considerate which is a bonus. ❤️
