My Aerial Home: Opinions
Fantastic experience: This week, I came to the end of my 6 sessions of static trapeze with Daisy. They have been fabulous - Daisy is such a wonderful teacher! I'd done a Tuesday Try-Out a year or so previously, and was really quite nervous about getting back to aerial, but I'm so pleased I did and have very much appreciated Daisy's patience, kindness, and encouragement - I can't wait to return again after the summer. The space is generally fantastic - people are friendly and welcoming, there's always a great playlist, and the facilities are well organised and maintained. I feel very lucky to have My Aerial Home right on my doorstep!
Thank you for a lovely review and for taking the time to name the fabulous Daisy. We forwarded the review on and they are thrilled that you had a great time. I hope that the 6 weeks has whetted your appetite to learn more and we see you again soon. It's great to get local people in as it's a great way to keep fit and make local friends. Tell your friends about us we would love to meet them.
Fantastic experience: Amazing! My son loves coming here and exercise.
Thank you - we are excited about bringing a new generation of youngsters to aerial training and performance. Keep going there's a glowing future a head! And have you tried a class yet Massimo? Tuesday Try outs for adults 7.30pm every week!
Fantastic experience: Attended the beginner try out session for adults. Daisy was a fabulous teacher very patient and encouraging. Thoroughly enjoyed the class.
Thank you for coming. Daisy is a treasure. I hope we see you again soon!
Fantastic experience: Great venue and very patient with the kids at the classes they have in place for kids. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her taster class and it was great for her confidence. We have signed her up for classes now.
Thank you for the review and we are thrilled your daughter will be joining us...have you thought about giving it a go too?
Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience previously with Amanda on static trapeze, the warm up at the start, and the stretching sessions included after classes, all have been absolutely fantastic! The supportive atmosphere and expert instruction at this aerial home have been a game-changer. I’ve enjoyed every moment here, and hope to return to continue my progress in the future!
Oh Lucy, thank you for leaving such a lovely review. You have said everything we hope we do! Come back soon!
Negative experience: The toddler class should be avoided, aside from the very grumpy class leader (who failed to smile once, ignored any interaction with any child that spoke to her and showed instructions that a grown up would find difficult to follow) it was dangerous and did not follow various H&S guidelines. No safety instructions were given to supervising adults, the class was publicised for very young kids, but trapezes set far too high and everything mainly went unsupervised. Kids could have fallen off and badly hurt their neck despite crash mats - just wasn’t an appropriate, safe or enjoyable class for under 5s.
Thank you for your feedback, we would like to know more about your experience as this doesn't sound like the class we normally run. We did have a cover teacher a few weeks ago and were made aware of some short comings that we have addressed. I hope that you will give us another chance and we can offer you a complimentary class at your convenience. I can only apologise for your experience and hope that we will see you again.
Negative experience: Stop making your customers feel like victims and show some appreciation to them for having the same passion you do! (Response) You do not have a good practice. You ensured my partner that it was safe for her to take your classes. She has now had a relapse as a result of the injuries. I hate seeing her in such pain. And then for you to dismiss her after she told you she had to follow medical advice and stop coming. That is very insensitive of you. Yes, I try to encourage her to sue your company, but she is a good person and doesn't want to fight - That was not a threat. She paid in advance and booked 6 classes, clearly she was keen and would have continued, if she could. It sickens me as to why you can't show more compassion. How could you be so heartless. This is my experience with your business. And I'm making this review based on my dissatisfaction after various interactions with you. (Original review) I've been trying to get a partial refund after my partner sustained an injury here. They have no empathy at all. It is just sickening
Dear Lamar, your partner did not sustain an injury at My Aerial Home, nor did she sustain an injury taking part in our classes. Your partner has a pre existing condition that is nothing to do with My Aerial Home. Your partner booked onto classes knowing that she had this condition and decided after 2 sessions out of six not to continue. We offered her an alternative class in a different discipline that might have made her issues easier. She declined this offer. She wrote to us acknowledging our terms and conditions but asking for a refund even though she understood that we don't give refunds if you change your mind. However, you have been in touch with us on her behalf on many occasions and your correspondence is often threatening. This review is not accurate and we hope you will stop contacting us and acknowledge, as your partner did, that our terms and conditions cover this issue in detail and your partner understood them and has abided by them.
Negative experience: I'm leaving this review of my experience so new customers can be cautious. I was so happy when I find this place as it was a childhood dream. Unfortunately, I got inured in one of the classes. It left me in very bad pain. I couldn't continue the classes. I tried to get a partial refund. But they just dismissed me.
Dear Mariagrazia as I have just responded to your boyfriend. You did not get injured in our classes. You had a pre existing condition, that you hoped would be manageable. We have other members who have taken part in our classes for many years and who also have this condition so we didn't want to stop you trying the class. You did a one off try out class and you decided to book onto a series of 6 classes. This was entirely your choice. After 2 classes you decided that your hands found it too painful. We offered you an alternative class on silk sling which is kinder in the hands. You refused this offer. You wrote to us acknowledging out terms and conditions and you said you understood we did not give refunds if people changed their minds. However we have had to endure many threatening emails from your boyfriend and it is so sad to see these unfactual reviews. We did not dismiss you but offered you alternatives and have spent many hours dealing with your boyfriends unpleasant correspondence.
Fantastic experience: I have just moved to the area and thought I'd try out a new place to do aerial skills. I did the static trapeze try out class (ended up being just me so I got a 1 to 1 hour session!) and I had Amanda as my instructor, she is very encouraging and kind she really made me feel comfortable and safe when trying new skills. I cant wait to go back again already! I Would highly reccomend this aerial school.
Ahhh, thanks, Aileen. It was lovely working with you and I hope you consider taking it up as your new passion, I think you would do really well. Good luck in your up and coming competition.
Fantastic experience: Such excitement and enthusiasm in this place! Proves that learning can be fun!
Wonderful to hear that!
Fantastic experience: I recently joined MAH after seeing their amazing showcase from the one month Foundation Course. I immediately enrolled on the course and joined the school. The space is incredible and the staff and students are so friendly. The teaching is very professional, ensuring that everyone is safe and all ages and abilities are welcomed. It is difficult to put into words the atmosphere that Amanda has created here - although aerial is challenging, as soon as I walk in I am at ease, everyone is supported and encouraged and I have so much fun and laughter. It has become a second home to me.
It's so fabulous to work with you and so exciting to be part of your creative work.
Fantastic experience: My Aerial Home is just that - a place that feels like a lovely safe supportive home space from which to explore all your circus dreams! Amanda and all the staff are all so passionate and dedicated to aerial and to tirelessly mentoring each and every person who comes through their doors to help them unlock their potential in the air. An excellent facility, really well equipped, where professional performers mix with first timers with ease and everyone has a place to work and train at their level, and move all the way up to professional level, should they wish to. Excellent standards of teaching throughout, definitely highly recommended if you want to explore your potential in the air!
Thank you Jacqui!
Fantastic experience: Fantastic school for advanced and beginners. All the teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful with adapting to different types of levels in class. It has great intensive courses to enhance your skills as an aerial dancer. Overall a wonderful school that offers a variety of courses and classes and a big open space to train in.
Fantastic experience: Excellent venue run by excellent people! I started practicing Aerial here a few years ago now, they have been the most welcoming studio I’ve been to. The sessions have been fantastically led by very inspiring teachers and the space itself is brilliant. It’s very spacious with high ceilings, making a great place to practice and train in aerial. Thanks to Amanda and the team for your continued support!
Fantastic experience: Fantastic facilities, lots of space and excellent teachers full of wealth. They have courses and training for people brand new to aerial or professionals. Absolutely recommend
Fantastic experience: I have been a member of MAH for over ten years. It is the most welcoming and supportive place to train. I am an amateur and do aerial as a hobby but have taken part in some of the intensive courses too. There is so much variety with the classes offered. Small class sizes so you all get your own equipment and good tuition. The space is bright and big with dedicated warm up and cool down space and is clean and dog friendly! Not to mention MAH’s Kitchen - to grab a coffee or snack pre or post class. It’s also good for parking and public transport! The team are so friendly, knowledgeable and great teachers. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Thank you Laura, in another life you would have made a professional aerialist!
Fantastic experience: Beautiful aerial school in Sydenham. The whole team are welcoming and supportive of both beginners and pros. There’s a great variety of aerial equipment to try and the team are always extremely encouraging of students to try new classes and skills. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to try aerial.
Thank you, Sophie.
Fantastic experience: I had such a good time here, I came on my own but the environment was so fun and relaxed I instantly got chatting to other people in the class. I learned so much in the short time and managed a lot more than I thought I would. I certainly felt my efforts in the days that followed so if you want a fun class to keep fit, have a laugh and make friends... This it for you! My only experience of Aerial before this was watching so don't be put off if you're new, try the Tuesday try out class, I didn't regret it!
Fantastic experience: This place and all the people at MAH totally changed my life. Moving in the air gives you a new sense of happiness and security, better to learn the proper technique in a wonderful space specially created to be safe under any circumstance. I can’t be more proud of saying that all I know in terms of aerial is because of MAH and the amazing teachers there. I started with a one week Dancers intensive, followed by the 3 months PRO course, some other rope intensive workshops and the teacher training. Best investment ever. Aerial complements other trainings and aspects of my life. Thank you My Aerial Home
Fantastic experience: This course is fantastic whether you are just starting your aerial journey or you've been doing aerial for years. I chose My Aerial Home to do a one month intensive because I knew that Amanda always hires the best instructors and the facilities are incredible. I felt supported throughout by the whole group and came away feeling inspired to continue training and creating in the air.
Fantastic experience: My Aerial Home really is that. It's a home for everyone who likes to dangle and be in the air whatever the discipline. Amanda and every member of her team are always going above and beyond to be helpful and supportive whether you're a beginner, advanced, for fun, or looking to take it professionally and develop on their multiple courses. All classes are taught by the best in the business keeping you challenged in a safe and fun environment. As a dancer turned aerialist who has done every course and keeps coming back for more I couldn't recommend MAH more.
Fantastic experience: I have adored my trapeze classes at MAH. I can now climb a rope, something I could never do when at school and my proudest moment was doing the splits up the rope on the trapeze. I have made good friends in the class and with Amanda's encouragement I have achieved more than I thought I could ever do. My family think I'm mad but I would encourage anyone to have a go!
Fantastic experience: What I love so much about My Ariel Home is it's family feel. You are always greeted by a warm and kind energy which instantly makes you feel supported. Often you are doing things out side your comfort zone in the space and everyone is very invested, teachers come over to help and offer support even if they are not leading the class. It's a special place and I always look forward to returning.
Fantastic experience: I’ve started training at My Aerial Home with the 3 months professional course and it’s one of the best decision I ever made! The team is amazing and very professional as I would expect it. I always feel safe and at home when training there. Highly recommended, you will love it too!
Fantastic experience: An unassuming spot where the magic happens. I took part in a Beginners class to Flying Trapeze. Warm up, some theory and then up you go. Great for first-timers, kids and adults. The support team are wonderfully encouraging and kind and more than anything it was just the most wonderful fun. I shall most definitely be returning to try some of the other classes and going 'flying' again soon!
Fantastic experience: This is the BEST place to learn from the scratch, improve skills and go further into performing. You will get professional approach with tons of fun. Our 12 year old loves each session, he improved his strength, flexibility and became confided about his body ability. All staff are amazing. For kids and teens it is great to meet professional performers. Instructors pay great attention to technical part of the moves, it gives me confidence that my kid is safe in what they are doing. Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: My Aerial home is fantastic, it offers great training and a place to practice your newly learnt skills. I did one of the ‘dancers intensives’ and the amount I got out of my time was amazing, it’s a very welcoming environment and somewhere you grow as a performer. Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: Really brilliant place for anyone looking to explore the world of aerial arts. Everyone's super friendly, equipment is great, and classes are the perfect blend of challenging and fun. Kudos to Tabbi for being a fab teacher!
Fantastic experience: I joined my Aerial Home in 2012. Its been transformational. Not only is it a way to learn any number of aerial skills in a fun, safe and friendly environment it is a community of like minded people coming together to participate in something out of the ordinary. They have a wide range of classes to suit all abilities from new starters to professional standards. Highly recommended.
Fantastic experience: I found my aerial home last summer whilst looking for something a bit different to improve my strength training whilst injured from running, and after the grind of lockdowns. I attended the trapeze trial class and found that even just getting up onto the bar was a challenge - not quite what I expected! It could have been off-putting except that Amanda was so encouraging and supportive. So I kept going. Fast forward six months and I am doing moves I couldn't even have imagined previously and considering performing in a show. Everyone is friendly and supportive - a real sense of team - and the teaching is top class. I can't recommend it enough.
Jenny - your improvement has been inspiring and wonderful! Such strength, understanding and intelligent way of working. Great to have you with us!
Fantastic experience: My Aerial Home is absolutely amazing. Incredible teachers, really pro set up and a fun atmosphere. I’ve learnt things I never thought I’d be capable of, met some brilliant people and had a ton of fun in the process. They also run fantastic kids classes so I’m converting the whole family to circus.
Thank you very much Sarah for such a lovely review. Your improvement has been phenomenal. We are excited to see what you will achieve next!
Fantastic experience: I have taken two classes at MAH so far and will be back for more. The team are extremely welcoming and waste no time in introducing even novices like myself to the aerial equipment. The space feels clean and safe, even in the pandemic. Would definitely recommend MAH.
Welcome, Nina, you are such a welcome new member! Doing really well already!
Fantastic experience: Great circus centre and lovely staff.
Ahh thank you Matt!
Fantastic experience: Amazing place!
Thank you!
Fantastic experience: The very best teachers in a supportive, friendly atmosphere. Absolutely love it here!
Always fantastic when you are with us.
Fantastic experience: This place is amazing! It is mostly used by professional performers but they also have classes for children and beginners and my daughter loves it!
Thank you!
Fantastic experience: I have just finished the one month foundation course at My Aerial Home and it was the most incredible experience! I have loved every single minute... from the amazing teachers and the support you get to the variety of classes we had! Everything from the first day to the final day with our show was just fabulous! I’m so sad to have finished!!! I will definitely be back!!
Really hope we work with you again soon!!
Negative experience: Poor communication and handling of money. VERY RUDE owner. Was told I just sit around in meetings at work because I wouldn't call her back
Dear SNVB I think this is a hoax review. I am the owner and have not had a conversation with you and we wouldn't say anything like this as we don't mind when you make contact that choice is down to you. How sad that businesses have to put up with people who want to ruin our rating with fake and rude reviews.
Fantastic experience: Brilliant space, high ceilings and lovely, engaging staff!
Ahh Thank you, Graham, you are rather lovely too!
Fantastic experience: Love this place
Thank you!
Fantastic experience: Every Wednesday I'm watching my eight year old girl doing amazing things in the circus classes for children. With help of very nice and extremely professional teachers, children practice rope climbing, trapeze, hula hoops, tumbling, handstanding, acrobatic and so many more like juggling, fitness, dancing.I might consider classes for adults to improve my condition.
Thank you for the lovely review - we love having the children with us and from September we will have an extra children's club so we will have our Monster Circus Club Tuesdays 4.30 - 6pm Wednesdays 4.30 - 6pm and Thursdays 4.15 - 5.45pm
Adults can get fit with fun and you can Try before you buy or just have a giggle at our Tuesday Try Out class every Tuesday 6.45pm which costs £12.00. Hope to see you there Celina!!
Fantastic experience: Nice cosy entrance with a cafe. I don’t attend the classes I just pop in for the coffee and a sandwich! But they have all the gear and rigs for the aerial athletes and classes for everyone.
Thank you for the lovely review. We are thrilled you liked our cosy home. Come back and take a class.
Fantastic experience: We had an amazing time celebrating my daughter's birthday. A very original concept. The whole team were fab. We would definitely recommend!
Thank you so much!
Fantastic experience: My partner and I have recently completed the Essential teacher training week long course with Amanda Miles at My Aerial Home. With few other organisations offering this type of course we wondered about the investment in time and finance before we signed up but we were impressed from the outset with the communication from both Amanda and Rose. The support and reassurance on the phone and over email in the months before we travelled to London was second to none and each time apprehension was put aside in the most friendly and informative manner. Our time during the week long intensive course was spent in a mix of practical and classroom sessions. The unit where the learning took place on Bell Green retail park was a really great space, lots of room and equipment of varying sizes and heights, with a fantastic coffee also on offer from the 'barista' Amanda's husband. As I have had many years of teaching experience in the fitness industry but virtually none in aerial the practical sessions were intense. However, the teaching from Amanda was nothing short of excellent. Amanda has a great blend of being able to get her points across in a friendly manner and in a variety of formats so that each of her participants get her time and attention in equal measure. Her knowledge of teaching and performance came across in all of the sessions during the week we spent with her. I have got to say despite our reservations and our 'war wounds' from the week we both had a fabulous time and I am sure all the learning we have undertaken will help us start our own aerial teaching of fitness and fun back up North. Thank you so much Amanda and all the people at My Aerial Home for a great week - we will be back I have no doubt!
Fantastic experience: I have taken part in several dancer intensives and workshops at MAH and I travel a long way to do so because it is always worth it! A great place to learn aerial - bright, clean and with supportive teachers who want you to not only succeed but to also find your own way of movement and expression in the equipment - everyone is treated as an individual. I have found the customer service and all safety aspects at MAH to be excellent.
Fantastic experience: I have never felt as welcome and peaceful as when I am here! The owner is an absolute dream- kind and honest, and I respect her so much. She’s really helped me and worked with me to achieve my best results yet. She knows just when to push me harder, and respects when I say I can’t do something. The training area is spacious, and everyone is friendly! We all work together to make sure everyone is safe and has room to train. I can’t recommend it enough. This place is my new home.
Fantastic experience: Joining MAH was one of my better decisions in life. The different class teams are all supportive of each other, the equipment and teaching are all top notch and I've grown in confidence in the 4 - 5 years I've been going here.
Fantastic experience: An excellent school and venue for both professional and amateur aerialists for training as well as classes/workshops. I have been coming to this school on and off (but mostly on) for several years now and really happy with the school. I love this new venue. The rigging systems are well designed and feels very safe. The venue is nice and warm even in the middle of winter. Amanda runs this school with lots of love and care. Highly recommend it.
Fantastic experience: My Aerial Home is like a home! I've been coming to classes for over 3 years and have loved every minute! Every class is challenging, but achievable because of the comprehensive teaching Amanda provides. The warm up and cool down sessions are in addition to the class and are brilliant too!
Fantastic experience: A fantastically well-equipped and welcoming space, whether you're an aerial newbie or pro. Great range of classes, workshops and intensive courses
Fantastic experience: I love my aerial home. The teachers are all encouraging and classes have a great energy as classmates and teachers support each other, always a highlight of the week to challenge oneself with such a group. I always feel safe in their hands. Strongly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Great workshops, great teachers and an always welcoming space. Amanda (the owner) always goes above and beyond to make sure you're in good hands to learn skills safely and progress in a nurturing environment.
Fantastic experience: I have a confession. I'm 41, and I'd never done any aerial before. I turned up for a trial here, thinking it would never amount to anything, but I have to say that after a very short time, I realised I was going to love this place. I am really astonished to read some of the other reviews and can only assume they are the work of a professional troll. Safety is paramount, the equipment is spot on, and there is a free stretch before and after the classes. The only time you're likely to get shouted at is if you're compromising your own safety, and you know what? I'll take that. Love it here. Great place with great people, with a good sense of humour and great support.
Fantastic experience: Joining MAH has been one of the best things I've ever done, would recommend it to everyone
Fantastic experience: I've trained around the world and love the atmosphere and professional support from all the teachers. Amanda is great and I will return!
Fantastic experience: I've been taking regular classes here for a couple of years and this place is an absolute gem. The teaching is creative, detailed yet relaxed; the space is stunning with loving personal touches that you'd never find in a gym and there's even a yummy independent cafe. If you've ever dreamt of running away to join the circus - sign up!
Fantastic experience: My Aerial Home is an incredible circus institution. When I visit I receive instant support, cozy warmth, state of the art resources, in a very professional and welcoming atmosphere. It honestly feels like a wonderland. Efficiency and brains designed this place. Amanda is incredibly kind & generous with her spirit and time and this echoes throughout the whole place. I look forward to getting my MAH happy dose again soon. :)
Fantastic experience: A fantastic school with well established teachers and owners. My Aerial Home is second to none in Aerial schools in London. I began my aerial journey and career with the outstanding and charismatic owner Amanda Miles and I have never looked back since, I would go as far to say she changed my life with aerial. The range of courses, the atmosphere, the standard of teaching, the environment and the equipment are just some of the exceptional quality offered by this school. I would and have strongly recommended My Aerial Home to many of my friends and colleagues. Thanks for everything xxx
Fantastic experience: My daughter did a fab taster session and started classes learning silks, contortion and static trapeze, she just loves it there, fantastic level of teaching in a friendly and home from home environment. both me and my wife can enjoy a coffee and snacks too whilst watching her. We all love it and have never looked back, so glad we found this place!! x
Fantastic experience: Sadly I can no longer train here as I moved away. However I would absolutely recommend My Aerial Home to anyone. Inspiring and encouraging teaching that focusses on developing perfect technique and safety from the moment you first use the equipment. Amanda is amazing at finding the potential and unlocking creativity in everyone, regardless of experience. The warm welcome you get from fellow students, Amanda and her fantastic team makes My Aerial Home a wonderful place to learn and develop aerial dance
Fantastic experience: I absolutely love My Aerial Home! The teaching is fantastic, the training opportunities wonderful and the atmosphere is just lovely. It is a warm (in all senses of the word) and welcoming place with brilliant facilities including multiple versatile training points, a lovely open creation space and a lovely studio. Not only that but a cafe serving tea, coffee and snacks, and a cosy seating area in reception. There's a great choice of classes, workshops and courses in all sorts of disciplines. Amanda has created a wonderful and much needed circus school in South London, and brought together a great team of regular and guest teachers who love what they do and love sharing their passion with others.
Fantastic experience: Not entirely sure why the negative reviews below, all I can say is that I have been training here for 18months and they are amazing! I absolutely love it. teachers are passionate, encouraging and no slacking allowed! I have had a couple of injuries (not related) and was shown compassion and understanding! Would highly recommend my Aerial home to anyone. I hate the gym - boring- and this just the kind of thing I was looking for. Right up my street. X
Fantastic experience: My aerial home run by the amazing Amanda and her team of highly inspirational and experienced teachers offer you the best training in London whether it's for fun or professionally they run regular classes, workshops and professional courses, very welcoming and everyone makes you feel right at home, If your wanting to try aerial defiantly get in touch it's very easy to get to and from with regular buses and trains and a lovely cafe waiting area.
Fantastic experience: I love this training space! It's really clean, spacious and one of the most simple / easy rigging set ups for changing equipment. The level of courses are also outstanding. I just did a 3 day rope course and Im taking so much away from it. My body is aching everywhere. I've been training aerial for 10 years, am a professional performer and visit circus schools all around the world. This one has my recommendation!
Fantastic experience: Excellent facilities and brilliant tutors; really friendly and supportive. I would thoroughly recommend My Aerial Home, whether you are a professional performer needing a space to rehearse or someone just looking to challenge yourself with an alternative fitness regime. There is also a lovely cafe.
Fantastic experience: Professional, clean and passionate! Very happy I get to train here. It really does feel like 'home'. Great equipment and advise given at all times. Highly recommended if you want to kick arse! Thank you for having me!!
Fantastic experience: Beautiful space, everything is in orden always, lovely people, Amanda is a great person always very helpfull and attentive, I love the time that I spent here. Nice memorys and new tricks! thanks for everything!.
Fantastic experience: I've only just started (and I'm very much a beginner) but I'm having so much fun. Everyone is friendly and doesn't make you feel like you don't belong, classes are adapted to fit everyone's pace. Highly recommended. I noticed there are several bad remarks about the rudeness of the owner. Amanda has never been anything but kind, friendly & patient to me. Yes you pay in advance for blocks of classes and if you don't turn up then you lose that money but with such small classes (6 people) & limited equipment it is essential that the course has a reliable number of students so I don't find this unfair at all. If you know in advance you won't make your class that week Amanda will attempt to offer you an alternate slot if she has one available. I think their policies were very clearly communicated up front before I committed and personally I believe the level of attention you get plus the warm up and cool down (total 1.5 hrs guided tuition) is worth the cost.
Negative experience: Awful customer service from the woman who runs this place, she is rude, patronising and simply loves to have the power over people. Ironically who are the people who pay her wages. After paying all fees IN ADVANCE of every term and not complaining when she missed a week for holidays ect, my mum was spoken to in an absolutely disgusting way in front of other students after saying she would like to sign up for 5 weeks rather than 6 due to an injury. This woman has absolutely no idea of how to speak to her customers, she has yelled at a few students in front of other classes, embarrassed them, harassed them to pay there fees before leaving the studio by actually YELLING at people as they're leaving! You will not enjoy dealing with this woman so find a much nicer place to trainas there is no way to avoid her.
At all times at My Aerial Home we try to work with people to accommodate their requests.
This reviewer was a guest of another participant who we had given special dispensation to attend a class as a favour to her mother and was unknown to us until this incident. But when they arrived they both refused to pay for their booked sessions and abide by the terms and conditions clearly set out at time of booking.
My Aerial home welcomes polite participants and all are welcome as long as they abide by the simple rules and terms and conditions.
Negative experience: Where to even begin, my experience here has been truly awful and I would seriously advise anyone considering classes here to look elsewhere. Firstly I have been astonished with the lack of safety measures taken. We did not do any stretching at all after being on the equipment and I received a head injury which absolutely no one bothered to look into. Secondly the customer service has been appalling. After inquiring about a workshop I was pestered with emails for weeks following up on it, the owner even went so far as to add me on facebook! Finally against my better judgement I signed up. A month before the course started I emailed asking for any way to get out of it or replace it with another course as my confidence had plummeted. Their responses were entirely unhelpful and I was basically told to suck it up because they weren't going to offer me anything. The workshop rolls around and by the second day I am injured and leave in tears. Again I email asking for anything to make up for the awful situation and receive nothing but a patronising email telling me the experience I "should" have had. Do yourself a favour and go anywhere else.
This review is inaccurate and wrong.
At My Aerial Home we take safety very seriously and have lead warm up and cool downs before and after every session. The head injury this participant mentions is unknown to us and we have no record in our Accident Book of her injury.
The use of the expression "suck it up" is distressing and not a phrase we would use to a client and we have always been very supportive of all our participants.
I am sorry if this participant felt hounded by our marketing team, she made and enquiry and we followed it up in our usual manner and didn't single her out for special treatment. She followed the usual booking procedure and we were unaware she felt pressured. We are sorry for any distress this participant felt. We hope she feels better soon.
Fantastic experience: An outstanding school run by friendly, honest and hard working people. They are very well equipped and knowledgeable and are excellent, patient teachers. Not only that, they also have a cosy cafe with fresh made sandwiches, salads and whatever is on special that day. Very tasty and healthy. Overall it has a very relaxing and calming environment which is ideal for any type of physical training. Highly recommend visiting My Aerial Home.
Fantastic experience: I've been attending classes here for over 4 years now (after 6 years at a larger school). The equipment range is great, the teaching is top-notch, the variety of classes and the practice times are all the things I want from a circus school. If you want to train for professional gigs, amateur performances or as an alternative to the gym, you will be equally welcomed by teaching staff and fellow students.
