Fantastic experience: Excellent gym, great equipment, and never so chocka that you can't get on the equipment

Negative experience: Can't really recommend this gym. For the price, its quite limited in what it has. I suppose you have the comfort of it not being too busy in the evenings. But even then it's still quite limited in its equipment. No leg spreader machine. It's not very clean, I know i go in the evenings but theres weights everywhere, paper on the floor. The toilet is very messy in the evenings, urine on the toilet seat and at the back. I've emailed them asking to cancel my membership as i'm having to move away imminently. They told me to use their url which is /cancel. Yet they've sat on it for 5 days so far with no reply. I've emailed them twice and no reply. Just terrible service. The times I've been there through the day they're often just sitting behind the counter anyway on their phones so its not like they don't have time to look at the emails. You can't change the music in the gym in the evenings as they lock their tablets and its often super loud that you can hear it over your headphones. If you're not into rap or whatever then its really annoying.

Fantastic experience: Only been joined for the last 6 weeks but really enjoying training here. Good atmosphere , really nice and clean changing rooms and showers and great equipment. Also tried a class and there really good.

Fantastic experience: Staff are really helpful, equipment is great and well placed, great for me as no stairs to combat. Showers are to die for, locker room and toilet clean and tidy and to top it off there a cafe where you can get a coffee and a self service cafe for out of hours.

Fantastic experience: Top quality kit, very helpful, passionate, knowledgeable & friendly staff, exceptional cleanliness, & waterfall showers. When the classes are allowed to run again, I highly recommend them. They're geared for all abilities, including the class dunce (me...) who has no idea where to even begin in a gym.. The other members are also friendly & respectful, so there's no atmosphere of not belonging, which is what so often puts folk off going in the first place. The whole setup is worth paying the price for as you'll never get the attention to detail that Equilibrium deliver at cheaper gyms. This is coming from a self-confessed miser...

Positive experience: Decent gym with a good selection of machines and free weights. Would be 5 stars if it wasn't as expensive - I've had a gym membership at a number of different gyms (some of which offer more facilities) and this is the most I have ever paid for membership.

Fantastic experience: Having said I'd never set foot in a gym ever again, this is the one that had me hooked on fitness in a way I'd never been before. Cardio had become drudgery, weight training un-thought of & the monotony of the treadmill had put me off for life, but the deeply passionate attitude of the staff & the other members makes Equilibrium a welcoming place to be. I began weight training with one of the PT's there (Owen) & did semi-regular circuits with the other equally encouraging & approachable staff, & was gutted when restrictions came in & it had to close. If anyone is looking to get a good routine in a genuinely accepting, encouraging & welcoming environment (this is coming from an introvert so it holds a lot of weight...), then look into Equilibrium. I paid slightly higher price, but reaped the benefits several fold than that of a cheap, impersonal gym which you'd probably end up not going to anyway & losing your money that way. Plus, the place is spotless, the music's great & they have waterfall showers. Need I say more?

Fantastic experience: A fantastic gym that I was fortunate enough to find when looking for a gym in Grantham. The staff are always really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and the gym/changing rooms are always really clean. Equilibrium has a unique and personalised feel whilst providing everything you would expect from a large scale gym!

Negative experience: Great gym, owners rude AF! - After paying them my money for the last 2 years they wanted to charge me 3 pound for ONE lost memebership card and said if I didn't like it they would terminate my membership! Wow... talk about creating a bad atmosphere! All over a tiny bit of plastic that costs pennies.. No value for being a regular customer and giving your feedback (I stated it was a rip off for a first time loss and then got threatened with membership termination, with no mention of me not paying) If I could take back the 800+ pound I've payed them and never stepped foot in this place I would.. Shame that such a good gym is in the wrong hands!
