Negative experience: Parking meter in June was not working, despite number being put in penalty notice received. Management aware in June that this was a problem for many people, two visits late we now have a final notice saying court action next! Such a poor way to treat customers and diabolical management of an easily rectified problem. Formal complaint pending.

Fantastic experience: A great environment, with decent equipment, and amiable staff and clients!

Negative experience: I recently had a very bad experience with the parking situation at the gym. Despite being one of the very first members since the beginning, I was really disappointed by how things turned out. Because of this situation, I can no longer recommend this place. It left a bad impression, and unfortunately, it changed how I feel about the gym.

Negative experience: Parking Ticket !!!

Negative experience: Absolutely do not recommend this gym. They advertise free parking, but suddenly put up signs without properly informing members. Later you end up getting fines, while they claim that everyone was informed – which is simply not true. Very dishonest and unfair to customers.

Fantastic experience: Bodyworld Gym Plymouth " The Iron Palace" has every bit of kit you can think of and more . It has such a diverse mix of people from all walks of life and fitness levels . The advice available from Staff or members is unique! From top level Pro Body Builders to Body Builders just starting their Journey. World Level World Record, holding Power Lifters to first-time Power Lifters . At least pop your head in and have a look around , I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Negative experience: Terrible membership management made me overpay 7 months for my membership not accepting my medical reason to cancel and threatening with legal proceedings. Totally avoid this company as they will rob you

Fantastic experience: Proper gym for individuals who are serious about training.

Positive experience: This is another fantastic gym in Plymouth great equipment, great staff and a great atmosphere. Small criticism would be not enough benches or cable machine as there is always a wait for these but you can avoid this issue by training early in morning as this gym opens early would be better if it was 24hr but it opening times are reasonable. Parking is normal difficult but that is to be expected with such a popular gym.

Fantastic experience: Incredible gym, we were on a week's break fro London and as good a gym as anything I have trained at.. excellent bodybuilding gym with large functional area. Huge dumbell selection, huge selection of legs back etc, viking press amongst other unique pieces. Top class

Fantastic experience: Awsome gym full of the best equipment and very friendly staff. Even on a busy day you can still get your workout in due to the amount of equipment they have best gym in Plymouth by a mile.

Fantastic experience: Probably the best gym I have ever been to, lovely staff, lots of equipment, always clean! Showers could do with being a bit hotter but only because I like being lobster red when coming out Highly recommend this gym! (5/6 gyms closer to me but this one tops them all)

Fantastic experience: Had a taster session as we have moved home and looking to move gyms. The desk staff were helpful and even told us how we could get cheaper membership because of our employer. The gym was very well kitted out and clean. All equipment was in good working order and the sheer size of the gym meant even at peak time it still didn't feel too busy and there was always equipment free to use.

Fantastic experience: 1st time visit to this gym, absolutely.loved it. For a gym, they've absolutely nailed how a real gym should be. The equipment is up to date, there's plenty of weights/squat rack/Leg presses etc. There's no waiting for machines (not that I experienced). I live in Exeter and just wish I could have a gym like this nearer me but it's well worth the trip up to train for the day. The day pass is only £6 which is absolutely fantastic (considering gyms here charge £10 and they're not worth the money). As I was training with someone else, I didn't use my earphones but have to say, even the gym music was decent. The gym itself is just huge, they have studios off the sides thay you can use. There's spin classes as well. I used a studio room to practise my own thing with my trainer. The studio was amazing too, fully mirrored and spacious so you could go in there and do training on your own (we were practising posing so the room was perfect for that). Can't rave enough about this gym, will definitely be going there to train again.

Positive experience: Good COVID 19 protocol. Wide range of equipment. One of the most expensive in the area but you can see where the money goes. If you're not to sure about a long-term membership try the 1week pass for £15.

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym before lockdown 2 after spending a couple of years at my local Pure Gym. My old gym is closer to my house but the extra distance is nothing when I consider what I get. Firstly, so many more options in terms of machines and different types of work outs. This would suit anyone from novices to experienced gym goers and has a wide variety of activities. Whether you go there for weight training, cardio or classes, this gym is head and shoulders above any I have previously been to. I have never been left hanging around waiting to use something so far, as there are multiples of everything. I'm almost instantly regretting my review as it may lead to others finding out about this new hidden gem in Plymouth!
