Fantastic experience: Love this place! The staff are very welcoming and always on hand to deal with queries. The gym itself, is well set up with ample of equipment. I have been various different times of the day and have never failed to use equipment. I also enjoy the fact that it is not pretentious. It’s a real mixture of all ages and everyone minds their own business, great when you just want to get the job done!!! If I had to criticise something, it would be the downstairs toilet-as this has been out of use a few times! Otherwise don’t delay join today, you won’t regret it!! ️‍♂️

The staff team, led by Glen and Lloyd, are incredibly knowledgeable and caring. They take the time to create customised workout programs tailored to your individual ability and fitness goals. When I started, I was dealing with an injury and worried about struggling. However, the personalised approach I received not only supported my rehabilitation but actually saved me from getting worse. This level of care and attention made all the difference in my recovery. The facilities are well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment. Anytime Fitness also offers a variety of classes that can be fun, catering to diverse interests and fitness levels. No matter your age or fitness level, the atmosphere here is relaxed and friendly. The staff are always welcoming, approachable, and happy to help with anything you need. Anytime Fitness truly feels like a community that puts your health and wellbeing first.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of Anytime Fitness Upminster since it opened a few years ago and attend regularly. I love it! It’s such a friendly and welcoming gym with excellent facilities and a good class timetable. I attend a variety of classes and there’s a great bunch of trainers there who are always happy to offer advice and help. I’d like to mention in particular Glenn the Manager, Lloyd the Assistant Manager plus Oli and Charlie.

Fantastic experience: The group classes are fun and challenging. The instructor is energetic and really knows how to keep everyone motivated.Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Simply brilliant. The management team have created the most versatile, inclusive, happy, clean, organised, safe and motivating workout space for every type of gym user. In 30yrs of gym membership I’ve never been to a gym as inviting as this one.

Negative experience: Lack of equipment availability. Very poor customer service. No email contact, only form submissions through the website. Can’t action anything when speaking to them over the phone apparently. Not good value for money.

Negative experience: The gym is boring They also do not let you cancel when moving address as says in terms I cancelled due to moving was then told I could not cancel i had to wait for my 6 months to expire and wanted me to re cancel made me pay a extra month horrendous customer service Not sure where you get your information from but I asked the guy where he worked I will come and sort it out instead of going backwards and forwards on the phone with some one incapable telling me I had not cancelled previously while people are at work he was no help at all either I cancelled before that to move addresses I was told I wasn’t allowed get your notes back out I’m not sure why I had to cancel twice but as I said customer service is horrendous even accuse customers of threatening people

Fantastic experience: Great gym with clean facilities and a welcoming atmosphere. Must mention two outstanding staff members: Charlie is always friendly, knowledgeable about the equipment and makes training enjoyable. Lloyd runs excellent classes and has really helped me improve my form. Overall a supportive team and a well-maintained gym.

Negative experience: I arrived at Upminster gym during staffed hours to activate my fob but couldn’t gain access, so I pressed the assistance button. A staff member opened the door and explained he was in the middle of running a class, which I understand. However, his attitude was very dismissive and rude when I asked for help. He didn’t offer any alternatives, which left me feeling frustrated and led me to decide not to proceed with using the gym — despite having already paid for the membership. Honestly, the visit felt like a complete waste of time, and I won’t be returning.

Fantastic experience: Perfect place to train, have a rant about life, and also alot of banter going on with the staff, there always up for a laugh thhey have turned into family. the staff and mangers here go above and beyond for you this gym, has been run to train in a great atmosphere, and i feel its so supportive here .

Negative experience: Worst costumer service EVER ! Been on the phone with 8 different people, over 4 emails and about 6 sms from them just to cancel my membership and after almost 20 days, it has not been sorted yet. Shocking!!

Positive experience: I joined the Hornchurch branch which I love! I recently went to the Upminster branch a couple times and like it too, it’s definitely really spacious. Just one thing is, not the most comfortable with there not being separate changing/restrooms, was by the mirror/hairdryers and was the only girl there and started questioning whether I was in the right place lol, just slightly awkward for me personally, but I assume it varies between branches you go to, as the Hornchurch branch has separate spaces.

Fantastic experience: Recently started going to this gym and am really loving it. The staff are always super friendly and always happy to help out. I’ve also been to a few of the classes and they’ve been challenging but really good fun.

It is always very clean and has great conditioned equipment. It has made my first experience in a gym incredible just from a free 3 month membership that I had won. Fantastic experience: I have been going to the gym for almost 20 years and always been a member at large gyms. I decided to join Anytime Fitness in Upminster as it is local to me, and being a 24 hour gym it fits into my work/life balance better. I was a bit nervous leaving my old gym after being there for so long and it being a lot bigger with more facilities but realized I was only really ever using the gym and nothing else and spending a lot of money. I have been so impressed with Anytime Fitness. The equipment is great. Lots of machines and free weights, and an area if you want to do a class or a hiit workout. It flows really well and there is enough space between machines and benches not to feel cramped. As it is 24 hour its doesn’t feel so busy when I go in the morning compared to my old gym. The staff are amazing. I am in the gym early in the morning (between 5/5:30) and as soon as the staff arrive they clean the equipment and go around make sure everything is tidy and working, whilst another PT sets up for the first class of the day. They are friendly and helpful. The gym etiquette seems to be better as well. People respect it’s not always manned and tidy up after themselves (something that was never done in my previous gym.)

Fantastic experience: I have used many gyms before. This is by far the best gym in terms of equipment, friendliness and cleanliness. Glen and his team always give you a warm welcome when you walk in, thus engendering a sense of belonging. Apart from exercising on my own, I also attend the Core classes. Fantastic experience: Considering I "wasn't" a gym person, I signed up due to injury, admittedly best thing I've done. Excellent gym, staff are always there to help, when I joined I got a 3 month plan setup for me too which was amazing. Gym is always clean and everyone inside seems very friendly!!

Negative experience: The most ridiculous gym you've ever seen in your life. I registered here and went to the gym for 2 months, then I cancelled my membership, moved out and then a penalty letter came to my house and I had to pay

Fantastic experience: Brand new gym. Well appointed, with a wide range of new equipment and facilities. Staff helpful. Tonight I attended one of their first instructor led classes. Very good. Next week already booked! Update, after a bit of hibernation over winter I am back at the gym and really enjoying yoga and Pilates. These are things I would have poo pood as a younger man, but as a 60+ they are wonderful solutions to improve strength and mobility. Ego free classes. All ages, shapes and sizes. Great instructors. A member for almost a year and now trying additional classes. I should have tried them sooner. LBT is top of my list so far.

Fantastic experience: This gym is easily the best gym in Upminster and surrounding areas. I’ve been a member at both the big leisure clubs in the area and they don’t compare. The gym is always tidy. The staff are always up and about making sure the facility is clean. That definitely rubs off on the members because I’ve never known so many people that put their weights back. (On the most part) The best thing without a doubt is how friendly and welcoming the staff are. I’ve trained for over 15 years and this is by far the best team I’ve encountered. Always say hello when you walk in. Give you the nudge you need when you can’t be bothered to train. Take on board any suggestions that can be made. They make the gym a class place to be and on the days I can’t be arsed, the silver lining is I’ll get to go in and have a chat with the boys. 17/10 - would highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Staff here are fit and high energy, but they’re so kind and proactive and willing to help with absolutely anything. This combined with great gym equipment (both cardio, machines and weights) makes it my favourite gym to train at.

Fantastic experience: A lovely gym that caters for all types of work outs. A really great wellness programme created by Ash who listened to my needs to create a programme that is suitable to my goal. Ash then took the time to show me the three routines he created and provided me with tips to improve my technique. Fantastic experience: If you know what you are doing and just want to get on with your work out in a clean friendly environment, this gym is for you. If you haven't got a clue what you are doing, need guidance, encouragement / have a target to reach..this gym is also for you! I started the gym feeling shy, uncomfortable, unfit (all the negatives) and thanks to Glen and the rest of the amazing team, I feel comfortable, knowledgeable and stronger than I have ever done before. As much as I (like to) complain during the classes, I do feel great after. This gym is low cost compared to the quality you get. It is 24/7, clean with the latest equipment... what isn't there to like! (They also have showers and GHD hair straightners fyi!!).

The staff are so friendly and encouraging and have set me up a great programme, taking time to explain to me about the different equipment and how to use them safely. Fantastic experience: My usual branch was in North West London but I've moved to Romford now and I'm glad I can use this branch when I have the time! Like most of the newer branches, this place is really classy and makes workouts a lot more fulfilling, unlike budget gyms. I'll be visiting this branch more when I need to hit some PRs

Fantastic experience: In all honesty, I didn’t need to join a gym, I had equipment and am a cyclist. On the build up to the opening Glen and his team were always so friendly I knew it wasn't going to be the sort of place that anyone wouldn’t feel welcome. Joining is probably the best thing I have done in a long time for my health and lifestyle, I had a workout plan made for me by Glen and the results have been incredible for me. I’m hitting 40 and am probably in the best shape I have been for 10 years easy. Always a friendly, genuine atmosphere.. Cannot recommend enough.
