Fantastic experience: I have been attending PT with Brodie for 18 months now, after a friend who also attends recommended him to me. He has helped me massively with my diet and training, and I'm continuing to progress. I had some concerns around form and lower back pain when I first saw Brodie - all of which were addressed within the first few sessions, supplemented with additional exercises I did at home to help my mobility. These were issues that previous coaches hadn't been able to identify or support me with. I honestly don't think you could find anyone more knowledgeable about health, diet, training and fitness. If you're serious about putting in the work and thinking about getting in touch with him, it'll be the best decision you make!
Fantastic experience: I’ve been with Brodie for nearly 4 years now. As a fitness fanatic I was sceptical about using a PT, but Brodie has taken my fitness to a new level. Negative experience: Dishonest and untrustworthy Bought some fitness equipment from Brodie and he said he would forward me the receipt to get the remainder of the warranty. Was in frequent contact until the money was sent. Since then he's ignored every message asking for the receipt and it's been over a month.

In regards to this matter, you bought a brand new rowing machine which was surplus to needs, this rowing machine was brand new from the supplier. I don't understand exactly how this is dishonest etc. as you left with a smile, and so you should have as you got exactly what you asked for. Further, I sent the receipt via email, clearly you didn't check your spam folder... oh my.
Moreover, I had been completing an MSc while running a full time business, thus if you had rang and left a voicemail, I clearly missed it, as many busy people do. Just as I've only just realised the placement of this shoddy review.
Nevertheless, you received a product, which was a personal sale, in perfect condition - which I'm sure you're absolutely still enjoying. Consequently, I consider this mater closed (if it were ever open). All the best, Brodie.
Fantastic experience: If you are unhappy with your weight and want to make a positive change then you will not find a better PT than Brodie. I asked for Brodie’s help around 4 months ago and cannot believe the change in me, both mentally and physically. I work shifts so my sleep cycle and diet was poor. With Brodie’s help I have lost 4 inches off my waist and have more energy than I’ve ever had by Brodie making simple changes to my lifestyle and diet. He spends time getting to know you as a person and using his in depth knowledge of general fitness and nutrition, tailors a plan that works for you. Fantastic experience: A brief description about me: 28yo, smoker, fastfood lifestyle, an msc student, and never visited the gym since 2013 with very minimal activity. Moreover, my total time at the gym before I met Mr. Brodie never exceeded 2months in which 1month I spent it at the gym in 2007 and 1month in 2013. Yes, I was the last person to think about following a healthy lifestyle. I also never cared about nutritional values. That all changed. My sessions with Mr. Brodie started on 12 June and ended on around mid August. First month was two session per week, the remaining was 3 sessions per week. I also subscribed to a gym near my home for the whole period. First Day When I met Mr. Brodie, and contrary to my expectations, we had the the whole discussion on food. It was not what I expected. I thought that we will straightforwardly jump to machines. And in the mid of the disucssion, I stopped him "Why are we only talking about food?". He replied "because everything starts with food". I knew that food is important but never thought that "it is that very very very very important". As an academic, I was fascinitated by Mr. Brodie's academic background in psychology and Nutritions. He never says "people say...". Instead, "The literature says...". He supports his coaching with therioes and research. Yes I did double checked what he says, not because I did not believe him but to check if the therioes he refers to are still valid. The result, he is well updated. He asked me many questions about my lifestyle, my activity levels, my smoking habits, my sleeping and cogntive abilities. And, never had stopped asking me those questions throught my journey with him. Workout: I used to think that it is all about how much weight you can lift. But I leanred from Mr. Brodie, that the technique matters the most. Having the right excecise with the wrong technique can sometimes yield no results and may have a devastating negative effect on the body. All the workouts were tailored. One of the reasons why I needed a personal trainer is that I don't have time to spend hours watching YouTube videos. I also knew that I it won't be easy to integrate different workouts to serve a common purpose. There are three types of knowledge "Things you know that you know", "things you know that you don't know" and those two types are easy to identify but the scary bigger one is "things you don't know that you don't know". I have learned new techniques that I thought they never existed. I also did not know that I did not know that the same technique can activate different muscles depending on the rotation of motion. For every few weeks, Mr. Brodie sends me a workout that I do on the days I don't meet him. Those were very helpful and he changed them every few weeks. At every session, he aimed to get me out of my comfort zone. And on every session, I shoot him with dozens of questions. Sometimes he couldn't answer, but what I liked about him is he never stops learning. So he goes and read journals that answer my question and brings me the answer with evidence either on the same day or the next. Results: I always thought of myself as a lazy person. There are many negative habits that I had. For example, it took me a lot to get things done even if it is just making an appointment with a doctor. My evertime phrase "Aah not now, I am not in mood". After my sessions with Mr. Brodie, following 99% of his advises, I got the six pack for the first time in my life. Lost more than 10kg of fat. Saw my muscular veins. I get enough with 6 hrs of sleep. I wake up immediately when my alarm rings. I don't need naps anymore. I am more focused and full of energy. I am don't procsinate anymore. I study better and longer. I started reading books. God, I wish I did this earlier in my life. I value food more now and I see how it affects my cognitive functions and mood. I can tell that this is the best investment I did in 2019. Replied very quickly and managed to fit me in around his busy schedule. Fantastic experience: Brodie and I have been working together for a few months and I have to say he’s a great PT! We met at first to discuss goals and then got to work. I was dreading it a bit as for health reasons I had been off work for the previous few months and not done much exercise. I’m not a gym person anyway so wasn’t sure what to expect or how it would go. There was no need to worry! Brodie is a kind person who puts you at ease and moves things at the right pace. The first session was looking at movement and checking to see what areas needed work and then he put together a personalised programme based on that. Brodie puts a lot into his work, making changes to the workouts as you progress and checks in with you during the week to make sure your diet is on track etc. He is encouraging and at the same time keeps an eye on you which is good for accountability. He puts together an all-round training programme that covers all areas and is varied to keep things interesting. He is also open to your ideas and bringing in new things depending on your feedback if there’s anything you would like to work on or learn. He has a great knowledge of anatomy and makes sure your form is correct before increasing the difficulty of exercises. We have made steady progress and I have lost almost a stone in weight and become stronger which were my goals. He’s helped me a lot over the last few months. Thank you Brodie for your hard work!
Fantastic experience: So I came to Brodie after working with another PT for about a year. I felt I had got what I wanted previously but needed to progress in a different way. After one session with Brodie my mind was blown. I thought I knew the basics to a healthy diet and training. But Brodie's knowledge of nutrition and exercise is exceptional. I leant more in that one session than in the last year of training. Brodie carried out an assessment of my form and lifestyle and we soon worked out I had limited mobility in certain areas which he began to fix with mobility exercises. After a couple months these issues were sorted! Anytime I have an ache or a pain anywhere Brodie works out a plan to solve it. Also Brodie only gives his clients personalised exercises to follow. My goal has been fat loss. Brodie strives to ensure the food i eat is packed full of nutrition by analysing what food I like and giving me tips on how to improve it. This allowed me to have a social life and eat the food I enjoy most while losing fat. What more could you want? I also find that Brodie is an advocate for ensuring good mental health in his clients. To try and reduce stress levels by promoting rest and meditation.
Fantastic experience: Brodie is highly educated and clearly very dedicated to developing not only your fitness but your lifestyle to better yourself. At first I was daunted having never been a great lover of the gym and fitness but Brodie instantly put me at ease and started off asking some very pertinent questions (lifestyle, general diet, activity, amongst others) whilst taking copious notes. He took these away to start to formulate my own personal plan to achieve my goals but not using quick fixes that aren’t sustainable but by educating me in both movement and diet. He stripped back all the bad habits I had picked up over the years by starting at the very beginning, perfecting my form before progressing with increasing weight and exercise. He rightly focuses on the detail of the movement and not the weight! He is attention is never diverted during our sessions and he is knowledgeable enough to veer off his plan to help and assist if he discovers you are struggling with one thing, always having an exercise to remedy or an explanation. All in, a great guy who pushes me both mentally and physically.
Fantastic experience: This was my first experience in using a Personal Trainer. I don't think I could have chosen a better PT , Brodie not only gets me motivated he educates you on the basics of day to day living and your healthy wellbeing. In the short 3 months I have been training with Brodie I have lost 2.5 stone and I haven't looked back. Brodie will work his schedule around me and makes my a diet plan and exercise regime that suits my lifestyle and also my current physical condition and it is only getting better as the days fly by. Fantastic experience: Before I started training with Brodie I thought I was reasonably knowledgeable when it came to the gym and exercise, as I studied sports science and coaching in college for 3 years. However, he opened up a completely different world to me in this sense, showing me the importance of activating muscles before working on them so you can get the full range of motion without causing damage and working the muscle to its full potential. Previously I thought it was all about lifting heavy weights, however Brodie showed me it's more about technique than anything so we went right back to basics with squatting, deadlifting etc taking videos of myself and watching them back seeing where I am going wrong and giving me small pointers that made a big difference. Even though we only train twice a week he is only a click away online if I have a question or need any help with my nutrition. He always responds quickly unlike some PTs I have been with in the past. His genuine care for his clients combined with his knowledge is what separates Brodie from most other PTs out there. Thanks for your help so far mate!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Brodie for just over 6 months and seeing changes not just physically but mentally as well. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to seriously improve their body and mind. Fantastic experience: I have been working with Brodie twice a week for 5/6 weeks now with the aim to burn fat & build muscle. I'm very happy with his service and will likely continue to hire him for some time. He's never distracted during a session & always puts in the effort to give you 100%. Also always replies to messages online (note: preferred contact is through facebook messenger) and will give you a full answer because he is very knowledgeable & has the references to prove it's genuine knowledge. He may be a touch expensive when compared to other trainers but his work ethic & professional services are exceptional. Definitely the man to hire when failure is unacceptable. I should also mention that the gym itself has a great atmosphere unlike some other gyms I've attended. I would recommend Brodie to anyone who is serious about taking control of their health & fitness.
Fantastic experience: Within 6 weeks Brodie has helped me to address a long term training injury that other physiotherapists and trainers could not even diagnose and has helped me to produce significant strength and health improvements. Brodie provided a detailed personal assessment at the initial consultation which he then used to build a training and diet programme. Fantastic experience: I was already pretty fit when I started working with Brodie. However, I was carrying various injuries, that held me back. With Brodie's great help and attention to detail, we managed to overcome those issues. One thing you would notice very quickly when you start working with him- you will not be 'thrown into' a new improvised routine (as some PTs unfortunately do with new clients). A lot of expert knowledge and experience will be used to tackle issues you've been carrying for quite some time, and to build up your strength in a manner that not only makes perfect sense, but is guaranteed - with your hard work and commitment - to give you the results you are looking for.
Fantastic experience: Getting in touch with Brodie and starting PT sessions with him, has been one of the best decisions I have made regarding my fitness. Brodie does not only focus on your exercises, your lifts, or how well your "beach bod" is looking. He is interested in changing your style of training, nutrition and fitness mindset. He not only urges you to work hard in the gym, but pushes you to work hard outside of it. Personally I have seen big changes in my own body as well as great progress towards the goals he and I set during our initial assessment and discussion. Fantastic experience: I'm now two years into training with Brodie. My goals are a bit different to most in that I simply want to feel fit. I've gone from a position of not exercising at all to training at my maximum ability 3 times per week. I'm now fitter than most people but not as fit as I'd like to be. Could I have done better or more? Of course, but my limiting factor is time to allocate to fitness and knowledge of how to do 'the right thing'. My posture is better. I have some muscle definition hiding behind my layer of insulation. I can train at a relatively high intensity for over an hour, whereas before I was done after 5 minutes of a warm up. Don't be put off by his background or physique, whatever your goals are, Brodie will create a plan tailored to suit you. I regularly work 60 hours a week. When I train, I can stay focussed throughout. If I miss too many session I default into apathy. Brodie can make significant positive changes to your life and well-being if you take that first step.

Fantastic experience: Tomorrow is my last training session with Brodie on what has been a 2 month journey. And what a journey it’s been! I was somewhat apprehensive before I committed to this. I didn’t really know what to expect and was going well outside my comfort zone. Doing a programme with a PT was something I had always wanted to do but could never just make that step. Anyway I recently just moved to Glasgow and decided I would finally take the plunge. My goals when I started the programme were to build muscle, gain weight (I’m the typical hard gainer!), increase strength and improve my training & nutritional knowledge. While also gaining general confidence in and out of the gym. Well, I can honestly say these goals have been achieved! I’m stronger in all exercises. I’m actually gaining weight which I thought was impossible while building muscle and losing fat! All round I just feel better for it. Brodie’s knowledge and guidance throughout the 2 months has worked wonders. With Brodie you get the complete package. He will motivate you and push you harder than you think is possible. Plus his passion for what he does really shines through. The workouts are varied, challenging and very rewarding. The satisfaction you feel after a workouts are something else as you know it's been worthwhile. The most important thing for me though was the one to one benefits you get. Brodie realises that every individual is different and has different goals and thus tailors a workout and eating plan around you only. Fantastic experience: Started working with Brodie about 5 months ago and have been really happy with the results: improved running performance, increased strength and muscle definition, fat/inch loss, much better eating habits and confidence to workout independently and safely in the gym. PT sessions have been varied, challenging, motivating and highly informative. Brodie is great at explaining why movements are being done and there's a clear purpose and plan to each session. His knowledge of how the body functions is vast and his patience in giving detailed answers to daft questions equally so. Help with macros and nutrition have been spot on for achieving results too. His approach is a great balance between not beating and making sure you're pushing hard enough. I approached PT looking to just thrash my body into shape and what I've learned instead is how it works, what it needs to perform better and how to look after it to make it do stuff I didn't think it could. That's a huge shift in thinking. Highly recommended, super approachable PT.
Fantastic experience: I've been a gym goer for a couple years with limited success. Obviously in that time I've had personal trainer sessions with PTs at the gym so that's where I thought the standard was; a quick chat about goals followed by a routine made up on the spot. Brodie is different. Time was spent discussing goals, followed by a physical assessment. Diet was tackled and any issues with flexibility or posture are dealt with. The real difference is he's passionate about what he does and it shows. His holistic approach has had a massive effect on a friend of mine and is reaping benefits with me too. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Training with Brodie has changed my life. Since I started training with Brodie about 3-4 months ago I have never felt so energetic and happy. Before training with Brodie I was eating what I thought was healthy and exercising regularly but I was not losing any weight. After one session with Brodie I had a diet plan and targets to hit. Within the first couple of weeks I was losing weight and feeling much better. This guy certainly knows his stuff and it shows through his personal training and the results he's helped me achieve. Fantastic experience: Brodie Mangan PT, what a guy! I’ve known him for years and have had some truly amazing results with him. He has an encyclopaedic knowledge of fitness and nutrition and has also helped me with poor posture and chronic back pain. I can’t believe how well I feel in a matter of months with some decent stretching and targeted exercise. He has the patience of a saint and as another reviewer has said, is pretty persuasive as well! He’ll usually get me doing what he wants, even if I don’t really feel like it. That’s because he can explain in minute detail the benefit and reasoning behind why we’re doing particular exercises. He’s a really motivational trainer and that’s because he gets to know you and what makes you tick, what you like and what you don’t, and every session is different so you don’t get bored. Fantastic experience: 25 years old and having 0% excercise in my life and a busy working lifestyle i pounded on a mass of fat.... Fantastic experience: I approached Brodie some time last year with little to no knowledge of fitness or nutrition and pretty much desperate to get fitter and have a healthier lifestyle after trying different things and failing epically. Fantastic experience: Some people love working out in the gym - but I'm not one of them. But in a moment of madness I signed up with Brodie last year - and it's the best decision I've made in a long time. Within a matter of a few weeks I'd lost my beloved Budvar belly; and have re-discovered what it's like to feel energetic throughout the day. Brodie is an incredibly inspiring trainer - he's not a zealot (thankfully!), but he's very persuasive, and provides invaluable nutritional advice that, in my case, has paid off significantly. I would recommend him highly to anyone. Even if you don't like working out. In my view the best personal trainer around.
Fantastic experience: I'm writing this review having went through 3 months training with Brodie. Approaching him is easily the best move I've ever made! His constant support and amazing attitude to everything he does rubs off on you very quickly. My past experiences are that at 22 my body was failing in the sport I love (football.) At my consultation with Brodie I had the goal of dropping 10kg in 10 weeks. A quick reality check from a top professional seen Brodie set a strategic plan for me that would build my body to exactly what I crave. After 12 weeks Brodie has helped lead me towards a 19 lbs fat loss and my posture has improved massively! I had a bad time with work which seen me have to really pick myself up, at those moments you realise you are a lot more than a "client" to him. Quite simply, Brodie Mangan is a gentleman and an inspiration! Anyone keen to work with the best in the business, look no further!!!
Fantastic experience: Very difficult to sum up my training experience with Brodie in a short paragraph. When I approached him I had very little knowledge of nutrition and no idea about anything to do with fitness, weight training etc. Brodie has helped me to completely change my lifestyle by developing a personalised nutrition and training plan for my exact body type (typical skinny ectomorph). He has also given guidance on completing a range of exercises including warm up routines and pushed me to achieve more than I would have ever believed possible. This really only describes the training part of the personal training experience which tapped into his (degree qualified) vast expertise in nutrition and training. The personal part of the PT experience was easily as essential, Brodie got to know me as a person (as he does with all his 'clients') which meant he knew exactly how to motivate and inspire me to go further. Furthermore, this meant I looked forward to going to our sessions as each one was enjoyable (although by no means 'easy') with a good laugh at anything and everything when things were tough. I guarantee you will not find a better personal trainer in the U.K. and we locals are lucky to have him in Glasgow. Cheers Brodie!

Fantastic experience: 3 months training with Brodie and I can honestly say it has been life changing. I'm in the best shape of my life and it's getting better by the day. Fitter, healthier, stronger. Workouts are hard but enjoyable, my diet has totally changed, I feel and look so much better. Looking forward to the next 3 months!
