Fantastic experience: The best decision I made was joining Castle Martial Arts. My confidence has grown, I'm getting fitter and I am able to grow and build my skills. This is possible because of the environment Mrs Houghton and the other instructors foster which is one of a community where there is a sense of camaraderie and support from all. Mrs Houghton and the other instructors are very skilled, knowledgeable, patient, and passionate, creating a welcoming space for all levels of experience. I love the fact that Castle Martial Arts is about a focus on personal development, discipline, respect, and leadership. Fantastic experience: My son attends Castle Martial Arts, Intake, and is currently on his brown belt, working towards his black belt in November. I go along to watch and am always made to feel welcome. I also enjoy attending the sessions during family & friends week where we get to join in. The staff are very supportive to all, and so dedicated to their art. There is always a great atmosphere in the classes which are taught extremely well with demonstrations at every step and clear explanations. The classes are intense but fun at the same time with plenty of laughs. I have no hesitation in recommending Castle Martial Arts.

Negative experience: This place is a proper mcdojo at best just stay away. No one should feel pressured to sign a contract like they tried me. They will try to push out free lessons which you only do 1 of and if they hand out belts every week like hot cakes that's a sign. The more money you pay the quicker you'll become a black belt just stay away from the disgusting mcdojo business take your kids elsewhere they learn absolutely nothing compared to other martial artists of the same level. Even a yellow belt else where can best a so called black belt from castle. I was almost conned around 5 years ago and still it's the same take your kids and yourselves elsewhere where.

Fantastic experience: My daughter started a couple months back and has enjoyed every minute of her time at castle martial arts, Watching her focus learn and enjoying herself in an environment that pushes her succeed shows on and off the mats.

They really care about the children and families, dedicating themselves for participants to thrive. My son has been going for around 18 months and as well as having fun he has learned to focus his energy, settle into a routine, develop his skills, and advance into a leadership programme. I can't thank the staff enough for going above and beyond for my son and our family. They really take on board oppinions and requests from families and help put them into practice. I highly reccomemed Castle Martial arts and their staff, they do not disappoint

Fantastic experience: My daughter has been training at Castle for the last 4 years and is working towards her second degree blackbelt. The staff are friendly firm and fair, the curriculum is as much about teaching good values and being a good person and having respect as it is about learning to defend yourself. The staff have a great way with their students both young and older. I would thoroughly recommend Castle Martial arts and their instructors at any of the 3 sites.

Fantastic experience: I have been doing martial arts for just over 2 years here at castle martial arts, each of the instructors are very passionate about what they do and are always happy to welcome new students and are very approachable. I have anxiety and found it hard to start at first, the instructors fully understood that and worked with to help me feel relaxed in class and get me settled in. At first i found it hard and didnt believe i could do it, i spoke to one of the instructor's who saw the positive things i couldn't see, and worked with me to keep trying and look at the postice impact and changes i was getting each week. They want you to do your best and they fully believe in you, even when you dont in yourself. They push you to reach your goals, learn new skills and reach new limits and stand by you each step of the way. Its always fun to see new techniques and they break it down to make it easier for you to grasp then build on it. They always see the improvements in you, and cheer you in with a smile! The other students are very helpful and inspiring, and great to work with to develop yourself. I can't thank the instructors enough for all they have done for everyone, they are all outstanding. I would highly recommend giving them a call and checking the dojo out.

Fantastic experience: My two sons, aged six and eight love their martial arts classes at Castle Martial Arts. They’ve now been going for two years to Abbeydale Road twice a week, and have just started going to the XMA class at Intake. They love their instructor Mr Haggerty who is an exceptionally good teacher. I feel it’s a very well rounded curriculum which challenges them physically and mentally and encourages them to learn from each other and understand their own physicality. I’d highly recommend Castle Martial Arts.

Fantastic experience: My son has been training with Castle Martial Arts since he was five years old. He is 11 now and is working towards his 3rd degree black belt. All of his instructors are amazing - incredible martial artists in their own right and also, outstanding teachers. Training at Castle and embracing the academy’s life skill focus has an impact on my son’s life that extends well beyond his classes, gradings and belts. The confidence and focus that he has developed through martial arts definitely translate to his life at school and at home. He is developing fantastic technical skills, but I also feel confident that the maturity and discipline that are such an integral part of the ethos at Castle will help him live his life in such a way that he may never need to use those skills off the mats. And as an added bonus, he has made a brilliant group of friends! Fantastic experience: I went to Castle Martial Arts' Black Belt Extravaganza recently - it was incredible! It was so moving to see all the young students receiving their black belt. Some of the demos made my hair stand on end! What an outstanding event! I feel very lucky that I get to watch and enjoy this event every year!

It is fantastic all the instructors are brilliant, friendly, helpful & know so much to help with technique and confidence building. My sons confidence has rocketed in all aspects of life including school and other activities. His concentration & self discipline has improved as a result. Fantastic experience: My little boy started at Castle Martial arts 10 months ago when he was 3 and has come on in leaps and bounds. He loves his instructors and has so much respect for them. Castle martial arts has helped improve his concentration, coordination and ability to remember and follow instructions. A surprise benefit has been his improved social skills; he works with children and adults of all ages in class and this has helped him grow into a confident 4 year old.

He’s learnt some great martial arts too and moved up the belt levels. He has a sense of achievement at each belt level he achieves. The teachers are great too.

Fantastic experience: Since joining castle martial arts my 6 year old son has come out of his comfort zone, has improved massively in different ways, improvements in his confidence, discipline, strength and fitness, along side learning his martial arts techniques, the instructors are very helpful and make the students feel comfortable, my son loves going

Negative experience: This place costs a fortune for what you get. £100monthly fee's rising to £120 after leadership. Over £300 of equipment costs to pay. £350 fee to move to leadership level. £40 each time to grade (new belt colour) which happens to frequent. Read the terms and conditions £100 cancellation fee in there. 2x 30min sessions per week. All they are after is your money. My kid never really learnt anything in the 3 months he attended. Staff was nice people

Fantastic experience: My daughter, Grace, has been training here since they visited her school last year. After her mini course she fell in love with Castle Martial Arts and her instructors. I would also recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn martial arts. The instruction team are brilliant with all of there students who attend the lessons and they make all feel welcome from the students, of all ages, and family members who come to watch. They don't only get taught martial arts but get they get taught life skills and confidence. They also get rewarded for things done outside of Castle and are encouraged to bring in certificates from school or other clubs to show in class. The team put on a brilliant presentation after grading. Students get to show off what they have been learnt and with the demonstration team it makes for an entertaining Saturday morning and a good reward for the students hard work. Thank you team Castle.

Fantastic experience: No matter what day, good or bad, the instructors will get me back onto my feet. They have massively improved my confidence, strength, fitness and many other skills. Everyone is so hard working and are such an inspiration every class. Even on my bad days, its a motivation worth fighting for to get into class, and something I am proudly challenging myself to come out of my comfort zone. Castle Martial arts is a big family really and I dont intend on ever leaving if they will have me;).

Fantastic experience: A very professional school that prepares the mind and the body for self defence. My daughter absolutely loves it and its keeping her quite fit whilst training. Black belt is the enfasis and the students and driven and encouraged during every lesson to be and act like a black belt leader. They say you get what you pay for and quality is always better than quantity. We are very optimistic about the experience and look forward to all that Castle has to offer.

Fantastic experience: Since training at castle I feel I have grown so much as a person. I went from being a shy unfit and scared to do anything. To now being in the best shape of my life, going out of my comfort zone to reach my goals in life, working hard and of course being a more positive person. Fantastic experience: Fantastic group of people and excellent training whether you are 4 or 40. Amazing environment and friendly family atmosphere. Younger students get an all round education in fitness, life skills and self defence. Every child should lucky enough to train and learn here. The encouragement, training and support had not only helped me lose weight but also enabled me to exceed many of my personal goals both physical and mental.

Fantastic experience: My daughter started with Castle BBA 18 months ago and has loved nearly every minute. The staff are firm but fair and have an amazing way of handling children. My daughter has been taught not only martial arts but discipline, perseverance, self defence and her fitness levels are amazing.
