Fantastic experience: My son loves it and to good to learn

Fantastic experience: I couldn't recommend Urban more highly, the staff and coaches are absolutely second to non they absolutely make the place what it is, they are encouraging, inviting, knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming to all regardless of skill level. The community they have clearly carefully crafted, shaped and molded through years of determination and passion for teaching shines through in every session. Coach Bailey and G are a credit to the business, checking in with every student including them and encouraging them throughout every session. The sessions they have made are super fun to start, mixed with teaching them the skills they need to progres. All sessions are full of clear instructions so everyone understands, they are high energy, encouragement every step of the way and making sure everyone is listening to avoid injury. My child has gone for a boy i couldn't get off his games to full enthusiasm for the sport, I barely recognise him. If you want you child to gain confidence, a life skill, be part of a friendly community and make friends along the way then look no further. Big love, Josh.

Fantastic experience: My child has never left the house and has refused to join any club, that was until he found Urban MMA, signed straight up after one trial. The coaches are fab at what they do, experienced, knowledgeable and great with the kids.

Fantastic experience: I am so glad that both my girls started with urban martial arts at the age of 5 , they have been there for over a year and they are smashing it. We got them into the yellow belt and doing sparring. I am so proud of their achievements they each won star of the class medals, these you get thsse after being chosen 10 times as a star class student! They wear there belts/medal with pride and present them in their class as a 'show and tell eacv time when they get the chance. I look forward to many years with Urban Martial Arts as all their coaches bring such a great learning vibe to each session , the girls always look forward to keep pusing forward. The staff are very friendly and being part of this community is truly an experience you dont want to miss. Thank you all!! A fantastic place to bring your kids too

The Urban Martial Arts is the beast place for children to build the mental strength and positivity. Very professional couches that help our children grow cheerful and confident.

Fantastic experience: My son has been attending classes for about 4ish weeks now and all I can say is wow, what a fantastic club Urban Martial Arts are. They have welcomed him into the classes with open arms, he can’t wait till his next lesson and had the best time when he is there. The coaches are fab with the children and have such great enthusiasm while they are teaching that the children just have so much fun! I would highly recommend anyone whose child is wanting to give martial arts a go to try here! The whole team is amazing!!

They’ve created such a positive and empowering atmosphere that makes you want to show up and push yourself. Kickboxing has quickly become one of my favorite things. Not only is it an amazing full-body workout, but it’s also helped me build confidence, relieve stress, and feel stronger than ever—physically and mentally. Every class is high-energy, fun, and challenging in the best way possible. Everybody is SO friendly & supportive! If you’re even remotely thinking about trying kickboxing, don’t hesitate. Fantastic experience: Urban Martial Arts School Safeguarding I can't express enough praise over Urban's safeguarding policy. During a recent lesson, my 11 year old child, told his instructor, Beckham, that he was bullied that day at school. Beckham had a discussion with the owners of Urban straight after the lesson, and Kyle was soon on the telephone to alert me to this bullying incident. Fortunately, I was aware of the incedent that had happened at school that day, but the swift action taken by all the team at Urban Martial Arts School to address this incident can't go without praise. Keep up the excellent schooling and training, and keeping my child safe. David

Fantastic experience: My son joined Urban Martial Club almost month ago, and we’re already seeing such a positive change. He used to struggle with listening and focus, but the coaches here have been amazing at helping him improve. Not only are they teaching him boxing skills, but they also focus on discipline, attention... I really appreciate how they reward the kids after each session by choosing a "star"—it keeps them motivated and proud of their effort. Thank you, Urban Martial Club, for creating such a supportive and structured environment!

Fantastic experience: I've done karate and boxing before, and now I'm trying my hand (and legs) at kickboxing. I can honestly say it is a fantastic place to train and learn. I was worried at first it might be a 'belt factory' but that it is not; you can only test for your new belt every 4 months or so, and the belt testing is supposedly quite hard. I've yet to do it myself, but from what I've ascertained from other members, they don't just hand it to you with a well-done certificate. So if you want to get serious about kickboxing and would like to compete, this school will enable and encourage you to do that. If you just want to get fit and learn self-defence, then that's fine and I'd still recommend joining.

Fantastic experience: We looked for an after-school activity for our daughter that would suit both her busy study schedule, provide her with confidence, security and give her sense of belonging. Urban Martial Arts School did just that. She has been a member of UMA family for over 2 years now and I can say that she truly found herself there. We are incredibly proud of the progress that she made in both her fighting skills and bringing her out of her shell, through the coaches' professional knowledge, support and care that UMA gives every member there.

Fantastic experience: We tried a few different martial arts schools before finding this one. Absolutely incredible kick boxing school. Coaches and staff are extremely welcoming and helpful! All the children thoroughly enjoy their classes every week and the cost is very reasonable. Extremely family felt environment too! Never been to another where we both feel so comfortable to be. My boy would go everyday if he could!

Fantastic experience: Urban is the First time ive joined a matarial arts gym and ive been training at urban for 3 years now, I've met lots of friendly members within my time and also the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The environment is very friendly, the workouts are good fitness. You Can opt to take your belts or just train on padwork and also do optional sparring if you meet the minimum belt requirement. All is challenging fun and engaging.

Fantastic experience: Great coaching team at Urban, lead and trained to a very high standard by Kyle S the founding owner. They know how to create a good atmosphere for training hard in a fun way. The team have kept my wife and I engaged in the sport for 3 years and 2 years respectively which is something we never got from an ordinary gym and we are both feeling the benefit of. We see real value from our memberships. Our daughter has thrived there under the coaches and as such we joined her as a lifetime member which one lucky member could get each year at the Xmas sale. She has since enjoyed great success at national fight competitions securing golds and silvers with her friends in the fight team as well as supporting the other coaches on the junior leadership initiative she is part of there with her team mates. If your want to learn to look after yourself, get fit, spar (optional) and enjoy this in a great fun atmosphere- this is the place to do it

Fantastic experience: My son (13) recently joined Urban Martial Arts School, and I can confidently say it has been one of the best decisions we have ever made! From the moment Ed stepped through the doors, he was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm . The environment is welcoming and inclusive, making it easy for beginners to feel at home. The instructors are not only exceptionally skilled martial artists, but they also have a talent for teaching. They are patient, supportive, and genuinely invested in each student, ensuring everyone can improve at their own pace. So far, so good. We are really happy! Try it! Would recommend to anyone .

Fantastic experience: If you want a place to learn martial arts in safe and friendly environment, Urban is the place to go. I remember when I first joined in 2021-22 and everyone was very welcoming. I’ve learnt so much there and I’m continuing to learn to this day. if you want to learn martial arts, Urban is the place to go.

Fantastic experience: Joined a month ago after hearing great things from my brother who is also a member. The whole team are lovely, warm and welcoming. The coaches push you to lengths you didn't think you could achieve and you get a great satisfaction from it! Always leave class exhausted but with a smile on my face! I've even recommended this place to friends whom one has also now joined too!

Negative experience: Ok training and facilities but make sure you want to commit to them before you join as they charge 2 months pay if you want or need to leave the club. Works on a belt system that costs money to progress in, offers one time deals for gloves and shirts cheaper on the spot if you join. Mentioned I’d only be around for 1 month to train, the club then went into 6 weeks of repetitive syllabus training for belt tests on my second session. I appreciate this is the system they use, but left me disappointed as it wasn’t the training I was shown to believe I would get.

Fantastic experience: My son started at Urban and he was quite hesitant to participate at first. The staff have been so good with him and given him space and time to engage at his own pace. They have been very encouraging and he loves participating in the activities and lessons once the staff had got him past his initial hesitancy. Absolutely brilliant facility with equally as brilliant coaches and staff. It’s brilliant to see my som enjoying the environment now and having fun.

Fantastic experience: My daughter has been going to urban M.A for a year so I decided to join aswell and now being here for 7 months it was a great decision, the staff are fantastic and very good at what they do. I love it and hope to be here for years to come and compete in tournaments under the urban name.

Fantastic experience: I started several years ago and have always felt extremely welcome, supported and encouraged in everything I do from belt testing, sparring or just improving my fitness. I have made friends with people there and encouraged friends to try it out too. It's a wonderful, family friendly place to be but also welcoming if you are coming along solo!

Fantastic experience: Been going there for three years. Has the best way of learning with the most friendliest team coaching. As like most martial arts, its down to you to ensure you go far. Whether you do it for a hobby or to learn, you will 100% test yourself and improve. Recommend their fight development & PT sessions. Don’t be afraid of sparring! You’re there to improve no matter what level. I shall be getting back into it soon

Fantastic experience: My daughter joined 3 months ago! She was very scared and worried about starting as she is very shy, but the team are so welcoming and made her feel relaxed. The more she went the more she started loving it and now asks to go all the time!.. She's learnt loads in the past few months and is super excited to move up a belt!

Fantastic experience: My second review of this place, my first review was rather negative due to it being shut when I turned up for my booked in lesson back in August. However shortly after posting my review I got a call from them, they apologised that I was booked in on a day they weren’t open and offered me a two week free trial instead of the usual one week as compensation. I couldn’t attend my second week due to feeling ill but my first week was great! Very friendly and supportive staff! I HIGHLY recommend this place! :)

Fantastic experience: The team here ran a brilliant birthday party for my seven year old. Everything was absolutely brilliant and no request was the slightest issue for them. More kids? Not an issue. Dietary requirements? No problem. Everything was handled so professionally and they are all super friendly and helpful. My son and all his friends loved the party. Highly recommended!
