Fantastic experience: The classes are well thought out well paced and delivered professionally, but leavened with Tony's idiosyncratic humour. Good exercise and good fun.

Fantastic experience: I have been participating in Tony's Saturday morning workout on Zoom on a weekly basis since the start of lockdown and have found it a great way to start the weekend. With his unique good-humoured banter, Tony guides his group through a series of warm-up exercises, followed by a circuit of exercises which varies from week to week, and which focus on different muscle groups and fitness areas, which require minimal equipment - stretch band and occasionally small stretch bands and hand weights - and all of which can be done in limited space at home. For each exercise Tony gives ideas on ways you can adapt the exercise to suit your individual needs and level, and to challenge yourself as you gain in strength and confidence. I would thoroughly recommend making Tony's workout a regular part of your weekend routine, having myself noticed enormous benefits, from increased core strength, to general fitness and muscle toning. It's a great way to wake up on a Saturday morning!

Fantastic experience: Fun and challenging fitness class. A good range of exercises for strength, cardio and flexibility. Great feedback from the trainer to keep you on track. I'm currently attending from home via Zoom and really appreciating the convenience.

Fantastic experience: The lockdown did not impaired Active Adult Fitness sessions. I do the exercises and get as tired as I would by attending :-) The sessions are as energetic and rewarding as they were when attending, because of the active instruction provided as we are monitored. Several of us sign in early for a chatting session before the exercises start, I have met new people this way. Attending the classes for the last few years, the community and society has not been impaired, rather enhanced. The objective when starting the classes was to develop and maintain fitness and aim for some weight loss. Lockdown might have caused some to become more sedentary, here all the objectives are progressing steadily, rather than putting on weight, it continues to reduce.

Positive experience: I have been attending Tony's classes since the start of 2015 and have found the "gym" sessions with a maximum of 6 people to be excellent. Tony's clients are encouraged to challenge and develop various muscles in their bodies whilst ensuring this is performed in safe manner. This is exemplified by the format of the training session where initially various warm up exercises are undertaken before the circuit routine ( a set of different exercise are repeated 4 times) is undertaken. He observes how people are doing the exercises and will modify these on an individual basis to suit people's particular constraints. Also with this individual monitoring Tony is able to adapt a person's exercise to take account of muscle improvement so that there is an ongoing personal benefit. Back in May 2017 I was admitted to intensive care suffering from a severe COPD flare up. At one stage my wife was told that I was the sickest person in the hospital and she was told things could go either way. Fortunately I did recover and again my wife was told that this was due to me "be very fit for my age". I shall be forever grateful to Tony and my attending his classes. With the COVID situation Tony had to stop running his individual gym classes and offered Video conferencing (Zoom) for participants to do their exercise session at home. Whilst these are not the same as attending the gym sessions were you can build up camaraderie with your "class mates", they still give you "directed" training i.e. you are challenged that bit more than if you were doing them yourself. Sorry if the above is a bit "long winded" but hope it is of some use if you are considering Active Adults Fitness classes.

Fantastic experience: Everybody needs a Tony! Tony has evolved his personal training classes, using Zoom video conferencing, to provide a true virtual class-like experience. Most of us log in about 15 mins before the class and have a quick catch up chat with Tony before the class begins. The exercises are varied but relatively simple to master and you can decide how much effort you want to put into each session as Tony provides guidance and encouragement. There’s no complex equipment other than a small array of rubber bands that you work with to provide the safe resistance and tension to amplify each exercise. Each session is about 45 minutes including about 20 minutes of stretching, including “The Worlds greatest stretch” and preparing to run through 4 sets of routines. Tony will also tailor and make suggestions and adapt a routine if the client has particular needs or requirements; eg an old shoulder injury, etc. Tony’s has a vast and varied career in sports, personal fitness and wellbeing and thoroughly enjoys passing on his knowledge through his classes and various events. During the sessions, Tony uses the Zoom conference system to bring everyone together. It’s relatively simple to use and the camera and sound that Tony uses is first class. One of the beauties about these sessions is that you don’t have to drive to a gym, it’s all in your own home under your own steam. So if you’re looking to kick start your fitness and wellbeing regime or improve your core strength and posture I can highly recommend Tony’s sessions.

Fantastic experience: I attend Tonys class three times a week and have done for four months. His classes are always varied so you dont get bored but there are certain elements that are a constant. There is no escape from Tonys watchful eyes, Tony puts real effort into ensuring you do every exercise right so you get the maximum bebefit. And then theres Cardio Week or Endurance Week which are as challenging as they sound! You dont have to be young or really fit to join in but if you do you will really see and feel the difference in your body after a few weeks.
