Fantastic experience: This is a very good gym that has all the equipment you will need to get into shape. The people that go to this gym are all very focused on their training goals. The staff are friendly and supportive. This gym is great for everyone, especially if you have never been to a gym before and feel very hesitant as everyone is helpful and positive. Fantastic experience: Love this gym, definitely can feel the sense of a tight-knit community. The gym is fully kitted with equipment and even has dumbells going up to 70kg. I have very rarely had to wait for equipment to free up due to how big the gym is. Only gripe with the place is that there is no sled, but it’s no big deal. Would recommend this place if you want to work out in an “old school bodybuilding gym”.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym. The fact it's family run defintely spills out into the membership community too - really feels like everyone is an extended family in there. All the machines are well kept, the variety is probably the best in the area, there's plenty of plates and weights for all machines, the membership prices are incredibly good value for money, the atmosphere is friendly. There's a reason it's been around for 50 years, and will be around for 50 more :)

Most of all the People who run it and the gym goers are cool people, friendly and welcoming. Prices are excellent. Was I. Town for a couple of days, day pass was 7.50. great prices. Highly recommended. One note, it's popular for obvious reasons so if you like it quiet check on best time. They open early so loads of options. Top top place

Fantastic experience: As a bit of a germaphobe since the pandemic I have been a bit sceptical about gyms but Dave's Gym has rekindled my gym spirit. It's clean and well kept with sanitising stations everywhere which it seems everyone uses. Good array of equipment and friendly staff. As a parent the early opening times are great for me before the family wakes up!

Fantastic experience: Have been to Dave's many times, it might be smaller than the rest, but it's has everything to offer. This is highlighted more so if weight lifting is your goal.

Fantastic experience: I'm quite new to the gym but is so much better than what I've experienced at commercial gyms such as pure and the gym. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and that is a great array of equipment. The only thing I would improve would be to have lockers that accept padlocks so I dont accidentally lose the key in the gym. They do have lockers but you get a free token to use them upon entry which then gives you a key that you need to carry around with you(this is just me being nit picky though) Would highly recommend

I spent 1 1/2 hours there and I really was impressed with the gym overall. It was my first visit after being poorly and away from exercise for a long time so I was a little anxious beforehand but I needn't have been. Loved it and I'm back tomorrow.

Positive experience: The gym is good value for money and the stigma around it that it's full of ego maniac body builders is not fair. Everyone is friendly and respectful. The only down point is that it closes at 9:30 in the week and 4:30 on sat and 4pm on Sun..

Fantastic experience: Great value gym with various membership options including walk-in rate of £5. Lots of different areas over two floors, which appeals to all sorts of gym-goers. Classes and personal trainer also available. There's plenty of free weights and many different machines. There's vending machines and various supplements available at the reception. There's changing rooms with shower facilities and a free car park. Did I mention the sun beds? Overall a great family run gym at an amazing price
