Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing classes with Emma at Squidgers & Squats! Emma is simply incredible — her classes for mums-to-be, new mums, and women have been an absolute game-changer. From the moment you walk in, she makes you feel comfortable, supported, and completely understood. She knows exactly what women need at every stage — how to build strength safely, boost confidence, and actually enjoy exercising again! The sessions are the perfect mix of gentle recovery, strength building, and fun workouts that make you feel stronger and more empowered each week. Emma takes the time to check in with everyone, offers great modifications, and keeps things positive and full of laughs. You never feel judged — just encouraged and inspired. Beyond the exercise, it’s such a lovely, welcoming community. You meet other women who are on similar journeys, and it feels like a little pocket of “me time” that leaves you feeling amazing afterwards. Emma truly goes above and beyond — she’s knowledgeable, caring, and brings such wonderful energy to every class. I can’t recommend Squidgers & Squats enough for mums-to-be, new mums, and women who want to feel good again, both physically and mentally.
Fantastic experience: Squidgers and Squats has been a lifeline and I can't recommend highly enough. After turning 40 and having baby number 2 the thought of getting back into exercise felt incredibly daunting, but from the first workshop with Emma I felt totally at ease, I have loved the classes, run clubs and even felt confident being back in the gym for a PT session. It’s been an amazing way to meet other mums. The class has such a lovely, welcoming vibe, and it’s been so nice to be around others going through the same stage of life. Emma really has built a great community and I hope to continue to be a part of it as the kids grow.
Fantastic experience: Squidgers and Squats are the classes you need to re-discover yourself after having a baby. They are a safe space with like minded Mum’s who’ve all had ups and downs and help each other out along the journey. Emma is a great coach who educates and guides you through your post partum recovery and also makes sure everyone gets the most out of each class . She’s very accomodating, babies and older kids are always welcome to the classes. She’s also fab at entertaining the youngsters if needed so you can work out. Squidgers and Squats was a weekly highlight during my maternity leave :)
Fantastic experience: I started attending squidgers and squats when i was 20 weeks pregnant. Emma did a fantastic job and helping me stay active and feeling fit throughout. Since having the baby I attended Emma’s postnatal workshops before attending the other fitness classes. Now I’ve joined I cant see myself ever leaving the community she has built is amazing !
Fantastic experience: Emma at Squidgers and Squats is so knowledgeable about health and fitness when pregnant, post natal and beyond. She ensures you are doing the exercise correctly so not to aggravate anything. The classes are so relaxed and friendly and the babies lead the room. If you need to feed, change a nappy or hold your baby whilst working out emma will do everything in her power to make sure you get the full experience. I'd highly recommend any and every class whether you are pregnant or recently given birth its a wonderful environment to meet like minded mums and make some of the best friendships to last a life time.
Fantastic experience: I started Squidgers and Squats when I was 9 weeks PP with twins. I went to Emma’s small PT group in St.Asaph and she taught me how to listen to my body, take time for myself, and enjoy exercise again. I attended her postnatal restore class and it helped me understand my postnatal body, how to strengthen my pelvic floor, and to follow what my body tells me. I didn’t realise how much her class helped me mentally - I was able to do something for myself. Now my twins are 15 months old, I am feeling so much stronger, happier, and just have a more positive attitude. I completed Hybrid X in a relay in April with the Squidgers Squad and couldn’t believe I actually managed to do it. Have even booked to tackle the doubles in Aug Over a year on Emma is my PT and I am loving taking time for myself, having her experience and knowledge to guide and support me, and having someone who gets it - who has been there and can truly relate. The community she builds is just phenomenal and I seriously owe her for helping me in more ways than she will ever know.
Fantastic experience: I just love Emma she makes you feel so at ease. I have been with Emma , when pregnant, post pregnancy to the classes, they are a great way to stay fit and also meet new people. I am now doing PTs twice a week to get in to my wedding dress. Highly recommended.
Fantastic experience: I started attending Emma’s post natal classes after the birth of my second child and my only regret is not finding her sooner. After suffering with pgp in both of my pregnancies and following a c-section her post natal classes gave me the confidence to get back into exercise with Emma’s extensive training and expertise around post natal recovery ensuring I was doing so safely. With an EBF bottle refusing baby there is no way I could’ve made time for exercise/my recovery in a normal gym setting but the beauty of Emma’s classes is that your baby is also having a great time whilst you exercise. Now 3 years on I have weekly PT sessions with Emma and attend her weekend hybrid classes. I am stronger and fitter than I was pre kids and Emma has pushed me to do things I never would’ve dreamed possible. As a mum of 2 herself Emma just gets the juggles of parenthood and our sessions are as much a therapy session as they are a workout! I cannot recommend Emma highly enough for whatever stage of your pre or post natal journey you are at.
Fantastic experience: After seeing a physio with problems after 2 c sections I was advised to get a PT. I contacted one I'd worked with before, who sent me to Emma. Since working with Emma my life has changed. I could barely do everyday things before without pain and discomfort and now I'm a new woman. Able to roll around with my little ones and get on with housework. And more recently lift weights. Which I never thought I'd be capable of again. Working with Emma has changed me as a person, for the better. I never thought I'd feel strong again. But I feel amazing. I can't thank Emma enough for everything. She is without doubt the best of the best. I wouldn't trust anyone else.
Fantastic experience: Being a strength and power athlete all my life and learning how to use my body for performance, it came as a complete shock when I discovered that my body did not want to move and brace in the same position from the 1st trimester. Emma took onboard all past experiences and injuries and knew exactly what I needed to do. I joined the pregnancy fitness class and Emma has thought me exactly how to use my pelvic floor and how to ‘hug the baby’ for a safe brace position that has allowed me to continue to train and lift weights. Emma is a front of knowledge and really does know her stuff, I have been so impressed and she honestly has the time for anyone she comes across if you ever have a question. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND for pregnancy training and I cannot wait to take my little one to the baby classes when she arrives
Fantastic experience: Great class for new mums! I did the pregnancy course and came back for postnatal too. You'll get a good workout but the atmosphere is super relaxed and supportive.
Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to squidgers and squats classes since my baby was 9 weeks old. I adore these sessions. They are something for me as a mum to feel good about myself, whilst taking my baby with me. Having had a c section the exercises were tailored to my ability at that time and have continued to be adapted as I’ve restored and developed my fitness. I’ve also learnt so much about women’s health, pelvic floor and how vital these are to aid women’s postnatal recovery. It’s not a bunch of gym freak mums, it’s mums who can get together chat/ vent, whilst doing some fitness. Your baby is able to play on Emma’s toys or bounce in a rocker, roll around on a mat (all provided) or look/babble at the other babies, therefore your baby also gets to be in a different environment, seeing different things! If your baby needs to be feed during the class, you can and then carry on, - there is no stigma, no rush, no panic! I can’t recommend these classes enough and if you still aren’t sure, just message squidgers and squats, I’m pretty sure you will go and give it a try! X
Fantastic experience: I started classes with Emma 4 months post-natal after a really tough birth with my daughter. I have PCOS and had gotten my fitness to a good place before pregnancy, so it hit me hard losing that strength. Postnatal Beginning classes with Emma gave me a gentle re-introduction back into exercise I was too scared to do on my own. Emma is such a lovely PT, and her knowledge around postnatal restoration and fitness is amazing She supports us mums like nothing else, always a text away if you’re feeling down about your progress, the atmosphere in her classes is so laid back and non-judgemental. Being able to bring my newborn to classes was a life changer, helped me find my sanity again and build a bond with my baby through being able to find myself again and be the Mam I wanted to be. Squidgers & Squats has helped me so much mentally and physically over the last 8 months, I will definitely be coming back again and again for years to come Highly recommend Emma’s classes if you’re a first time Mum, not sure where to start with getting your fitness back, wanting some support with understanding what your body’s been through with pregnancy and how best to start exercising for yourself postnatally
Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of knowing Emma through the most vulnerable time as a first time mother, her knowledge and support and care was outstanding for the welfare and health of me and my baby. I will be eternally grateful for coming across Squidgers & Squats xxx
Fantastic experience: I first joined Emma’s classes in 2020 when I was pregnant with my first daughter. It was a safe space to excersise and meet other expectant mothers. These classes were a combination of in-person and online due to lockdowns. The classes were small and Emma can always spot if someone is strugling with form or pain etc and then tailors the excersie to the individual. The information I learnt and knowledge Emma shared in these classes was invaluable- I’ve learnt so much more from Emma’s classes than I did from any midwife! It was a safe space to switch off and not think about anything else for 1 hour a week. After my daughter was born I joined the postnatal classes and could take her with me to ease back in to excersise safely - it’s suprising what you can’t fo after childbirth! When I became pregnant with my 2nd daughter I instantly knew I wanted to join Emma’s classes again! Again Emma’s experiences as a PT, instructor and a mother really helped my pregnancy journey and I looked forward to class every week. I know have a 2nd daughter and we’ve been to the postnatal begining classes and have just moved up to postnatal beyond and are enjoying all of it! I’d definitely recommend Squidgers & Squats it’s so much more than an excersise class!
Fantastic experience: I Highly recommend Emma's classes! I have been going since my little one was 8 weeks old (he is 9 months old now) and I believe it has really helped with my recovery post partum. Emma is super friendly, welcoming and informative. She provides not only a safe and relaxed space for us to exercise, but it is also ideal for the babies too, due to all of the age appropriate toys she provides. They also have the opportunity to socialise with the other babies which is a bonus. I love that Emma is interactive with the babies and if need be will cuddle or play with them in order for us to get a work out done. As a result, my little boy gravitates towards her in most classes, enjoys exploring the studio and is generally happy to be in the class. It's a double whammy for us. So glad we found this class. Fantastic experience: Lovely and supportive environment
Fantastic experience: Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Emma really helped me recover after a complicated c section and has been with me every step of the way in my fitness journey. These classes are as good for my mental wellbeing as they are for my physical health. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.
