Fantastic experience: Best Gym and community!! I've been a member at ovrload for 18 months now and I can honestly say this is the best gym I have ever been to. I attend the classes, which cater for all abilities(and ages). Not only are the coaches world class (Mike, Kelly & Louis) but they are welcoming and seriously know their stuff. Got an old injury? No worries, they will ensure they've got you covered adapting the movements to what you need. Nervous about picking up a dumbell? They will talk you through it and help build your confidence. The community they have created is awesome, everyone looks out for each other and are an all round great bunch of people! Book yourself in for a few taster sessions and I promise you will be hooked!

Fantastic experience: First visit today and paid £10 for an hour in their free weights gym. It’s a big area, with around 6 free weight benches that can be moved around the floor. At first I only thought they had one but then noticed the rest, folded neatly around the walls. If you’re a legs guy you’re going to really enjoy training here. There are seperate leg squat, leg curl, extension amongst others. There is also a back cable machine for big lat workouts, and cable machine suitable for fly’s, arm work etc. There are toilet facilities and somewhere for water. The only disappointment was there is nowhere to lock a bike to outside the business. I was informed you can bring it inside as long as it’s not too busy. I would also like to extend my appreciation to the lovely blonde lady who greeted me as I came in and proceeded to show me around and answer questions. I would have been lost if it wasn’t for her. I came home and have signed up for monthly access.

Fantastic experience: I have been coached by Mike for a few years now and he’s exceptional. His knowledge of anatomy and how the body moves has allowed me to train smarter and without injury. Mike has the ability to understand when to challenge me and when to support me. Since Ovrload has opened the small group classes have been great. They are fun, yet challenging. There’s always a clear rationale to each workout and it’s a focussed yet friendly environment to be in. I would recommend it to anyone, whether you’re new to fitness or a pro.

Fantastic experience: Ovrload is a super place to train. It’s extremely well equipped with a wide variety of weights and Cardio. Mike and Kelly are so friendly and really get to know everyone and their abilities. They are so knowledgeable and get you to push yourself harder than you would normally but in a safe way with emphasis on good technique. We’ve got to know others in the classes and it really is an ‘everyone welcome’ place. The classes are always different and very well paced. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have trained with Mike for over two years now and more recently with Kelli. I have invested alot of time in to my fitness and alot of my progress and knowledge on how to improve certain aspects of my fitness and strength has been developed and nurtured by Mike in his training sessions and programming. His approach is as effective for the beginner as it is for the more competitive fitness nut(!). He knows exactly what each person needs from a session and this is invaluable.

Fantastic experience: Mike and Kelly are total pros who care deeply about their members and creating an inclusive and supportive training environment. During the sessions you’re pushed not only to reach your goals but also empowered to look beyond them. Classes are welcoming and not at all intimidating (no matter what your fitness level) and Mike and Kelly go out of their way to explain technique and assist if you’re struggling with any aspect of the workout. Regressions and alternatives are always available. I was really nervous to get back into group fitness when I first went along and embarrassed about being out of shape, I couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome and I genuinely look forward to the sessions which offer something different each time. Really can’t recommend giving it a try enough, I’ve felt so many benefits since joining both physical and mental. Thanks to the team for being awesome.

Fantastic experience: I have always loved team style training, but after many injuries and a long time off, my confidence to return to a group was low. However, after my first session, all of the friendly faces and a coach who genuinely listened to what I needed and has shown up for me every session since, I haven’t looked back. Ovrload is an ego-free, encouraging and brilliantly programmed set up - I only wish there were more sessions in a week!

Fantastic experience: I totally recommend the fitness clinic for someone that hadn’t stepped into a gym or fitness class for more than 12 years, as running is my main exercise so I am use to doing it solo, I was very nervous about joining but that was soon put aside as soon as I walked through the door, the group were very welcoming and friendly and support each other and Mike (coach) eased me in, he is very knowledgeable in what he does and he caters to everyones needs/wants/abilities and you will never be bored, as every class is different, he also pushes you when he feels you are capable and encourages throughout, It’s great to have the different options of times and days so I never miss out - keep up the good work

Fantastic experience: I’ve worked with Mike since before the pandemic one-to-one, with my partner and now in the clinic. He’s helped us recover from old injuries, supported us through new ones and ensured that we continue to grow stronger and fitter. His excellent knowledge of the physical body is balanced by his high emotional intelligence. This has meant we never get stuck in assumptions that we can’t have or do more. When necessary, he’s embraced working with other professionals, like a physio, along the way. Mike’s been a game changer.

Fantastic experience: Used to be an F45 attendee but struggled due to a reoccurring injury. Got the motivation to go back to the gym and chose TFC as I knew the coach from before. Mikes approach to training is superb. The classes are well thought out and are suitable for all levels, adaptations are made if you are suffering or recovering from injury. Mike is friendly, approachable and has vast knowledge in his field. I totally recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have known Mike for many years now and I can not recommend him highly enough. whether we are out on a muddy field Or in the fitness clinic his workouts are always top! I do things I don't think possible. He encourages to push faster, lift heavier and keep going when you feel like you cant. Ask him a question and he knows exactly how to answer it. Everybody needs a Mike in their life!!!

Fantastic experience: The Fitness Clinic is a very cool space with all the latest equipment. Mike is a thoughtful and motivational coach who puts together unique and fun sessions that challenge the whole body, with a nice focus on mobility and functional strength, all interspersed with bouts of cardio. Injury history always considered. Small group workouts also create a nice atmosphere. All you have to do is show up and work hard. Strongly recommend if you struggle to motivate yourself to get to the gym, are coming back from injury or a break from exercise, or just want to change up how you get your endorphins.

Fantastic experience: Mike is an excellent trainer and the sessions are always just the right balance of strength, endurance and functional movement. Exercises are carefully thought through and Mike takes the individuals in his class into account when planning sessions. Keep up the great work!

Fantastic experience: I have always found Mike to be a great trainer who knows how to push you as an individual to get the best out of the session. His knowledge is extensive and he always knows what adaptations to give you to assist recovery from injury. I would highly recommend The Fitness Clinic.

Fantastic experience: Mikes sessions are always something different, it's never boring and there isn't a burpee in sight. Mike has been my trainer for a number of years so he knows what I can do, and is motivating me throughout the whole session. I love that it's a small group which makes the sessions affordable but you honestly feel like you have a personal trainer with Mike. He is constantly watching your technique, giving you positive reinforcement when it's good and giving you tips for improvement if needed. Mike is also great to go for with any mobility issues you may be having. He will always give you exercises or stretches to do in your spare time to help. I am stronger, lifting heavier with good form all because of Mike

Fantastic experience: I know Mike professionally for nearly five years and can highly recommend him as a fitness coach. Mike is the ultimate professional, passionate about fitness, education and full of encouragement. Joining The Fitness Clinic post lockdown was absolutely key in getting my fitness journey back on track. Mike is a fantastic coach, embracing all different fitness levels in classes and motivating you to do your very best, be it one more rep or going heavier on a weight but always mindful of individuals ability. Fantastic experience: Having tried a number of different styles of exercise classes prior to Covid, I plucked up the courage to give TFC a try - it was local and the first class was free- nothing to lose! I get very anxious and self conscious when it comes to classes. First off the communication via messenger was friendly. When I attended the class Mike was warm and welcoming, quickly asking if I had any injuries or problems he needed to know about. The other class members were friendly and once the class started I relaxed and enjoyed it. I have attended about 12 classes now and none have been the same. I may drag myself there through my own laziness but I literally skip out high as a kite on pride in my personal achievement all thanks to Mike and everyone else in class. I had an injury out of class and Mike adapted the exercises for me to manage and checked in frequently that I was ok. I have noticed in a few weeks not only my overall mood improving, but my energy levels, my stamina and my strength. I have great personal aspirations this year to become not only fitter, but stronger and overall happier and I feel TFC will be a huge part of this. I urge anyone to come along and give it a try, whatever your fitness/health and ability Mike will be able to help and inspire you to. Thanks Mike and the rest of the crew !

Fantastic experience: I've been attending sessions with Mike for a few months now and I'm absolutely hooked! Mike is so welcoming and knowledgeable, I've seen real improvements in both my fitness and strength levels in a relatively short space of time. Each session is well planned out and keeps you moving whatever your level. Everyone who attends is really supportive of each other which keeps everything fun and upbeat! I would recommend coming along to give a session a try, regardless of your fitness level or experience you will be made to feel very welcome.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending The Fitness Clinic for a few months. I was a bit apprehensive on my first visit as I have never been a sporty sort of person and I was worried that I might find it intimidating. I needn't have worried at all because Mike immediately put me at my ease with his friendly and welcoming manner. He is a very encouraging trainer, he uses plenty of variety in the workouts, he explains things well and he tailors the workouts to each of the participants and knows how to challenge each person just enough without pushing them too far. I also like the fact that everyone in the group is so friendly and spurs each other on. For the first time in my life I am now enjoying exercise and I can feel myself getting stronger and fitter.

Fantastic experience: I got in touch with Mike to start personal training after drifting along in my 30's being pretty unhealthy and gradually putting on weight. With 3 young children I was not at the fitness level I wanted to be, or used to be when playing sport regularly. Mike was amazing at working with me on my goal to lose weight and get in better shape. I thoroughly enjoyed the sessions and liked the various types of exercise I was being made to do. As a bonus, Mike also helped me with my long-term achilles injury that is now feeling better than ever. I've managed to lose 2 stone, feel and look a lot better and would highly recommend Mike to anyone looking to get fitter!
