Fantastic experience: I can't begin to express how lucky I am to have found Platform Fitness Studio. Coming to Brighton without a community to rely on, my search for a new gym started and ended with Google. After weeks of passive searches and half-hearted attempts to begin at some other local gyms, I did one more search and quickly stumbled upon Platform's listing--and in that moment I knew it would be the place for me. Coming from a personal training membership at my last gym, I was interested in finding a gym with caring, talented coaches and a personalized approach to training, and I've definitely found that at Platform. I have a group training membership, but with small class sizes and a thoughtfully designed training program, I still feel like I'm getting one-on-one attention. Both Holly and Sara are amazing coaches, ensuring each individual in class is getting the most out of the workout and progresses with each session. After only a couple of months, I'm already seeing progress in myself that I never saw in previous strength training programs. Plus, I've gained a sense of community working out alongside other members at Platform. Everyone is kind, supportive, and interesting, and I truly enjoy spending my workouts with them. If you're looking for a gym with talented, caring coaches and a wonderful community, I'd suggest you try out Platform Fitness Studio.

Fantastic experience: Lovely welcoming place to train and make real connections. My exercise programme has been customised around my back injury with the help of Holly and Sara, who have been incredibly supportive. My body composition has changed significantly in just six months. I cannot recommend this place more. Thank you

Fantastic experience: I went to Platform Fitness because it was 4mins walk from home and found an incredibly welcoming place. I haven’t used a gym in years, I’m over 60 and needed to do strength work to offset health issues. I chose to have Personal Training as I didn’t think I’d be able to keep up with the classes. I booked an initial session with Sara who made me feel instantly comfortable. She made sure she knew what I wanted to achieve, what level of work I could manage and what my health issues were. My sessions with Sara were great, hard work and challenging, and all with kindness and a lot of positive encouragement and recipe swapping and laughs. In the last couple of months I have surpassed my first objective (to be able to get off the floor) and now lift weights safely and feel stronger already. Recently, I have joined the classes and despite being older and less fit (but getting fitter) than all the others, everyone is friendly and positive. I always leave the gym feeling uplifted and stronger. Thanks Sara (and Holly)

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend! I’ve been training with Sara for a few months and am blown away by their inclusive and personalised approach. As a disabled person, it’s difficult to find an appropriate trainer but Sara is well-informed & health-focused, at a reasonable price.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Sara as an online coach. Previously, I’d been training hard for over a decade and recognised I’d got stuck in a rut with it all, overtraining and falling out of love with the gym. I started with Sara specifically because of her high level and breadth of subject knowledge. Trusting their coaching was the starting point but what’s made our work together truly transformative for me is this in combination with her empathy, ability to get alongside me and understand me, their passion for my fitness journey and holistic approach to how things like hormones, life, stress, physical and mental health interact. Sara’s programming is incredibly clever and attuned to where I am in my training and in my head. I enter the gym with confidence instead of trepidation, feeling both challenged and engaged and leave feeling energised and even proud of myself.

Fantastic experience: Did an Olympic Lifting Workshop with Holly. Excellent learning experience in a well equipped and convenient venue (5 mins walk from Brighton Station), which Holly clearly explained technique in a fun and engaging way. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I’ve just come back from the beginners Olympic lifting afternoon with Holly. It was brilliant. I’m a PT myself but had not ever done any Olympic lifting before. The afternoon was really well structured and Holly explained everything so well. She broke down all the exercises into small tiny chunks to really get to grips with the technique. We had a really fun and relaxed afternoon but learnt loads of new stuff to go away and practice. Thanks Holly. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to get started with this sport.

Fantastic experience: Great coaches, atmosphere, and programs tailored to suit individual needs. The attention given by Holly and Sara has enabled me to make huge progress in both my strength and movement , without injury, during the 7 months I've been training here. Thank you both :)

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Platform for a couple of months and can feel the benefits already. The main thing for me is that none of my old injuries have resurfaced due to my form being regularly monitored in the small training group. Thoroughly recommend

Fantastic experience: I've been training at Platform for 4 months now and couldn't recommend it enough. Programmes are personalised and challenging but fun and the improvements I can see & feel week-on-week are unparalleled to any other attempts I've made at exercise. Not only are the classes making me feel stronger & fitter but they're really helping my confidence, which is all thanks to the space Holly & Sara have created. As an absolute beginner, I came with lots of questions and their patience has been incredible. I've managed to achieve things I genuinely thought were impossible and I'm so excited to see where I'll be a year from now. I'm really grateful to have this space because working out isn't something I dread now, it's actually a highlight of my week so thank you H & S!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Coach Sara! She has been able to help support me with my daily and weekly routines with my busy schedule at work. If you struggle to find the time to stay fit and build core strength then this is your best bet! Coach Sara will help you plan and navigate your weekly schedule. It’s very individualistic and that’s what is so powerful about it. If you are reading this you just be dabbling into whether or not to give it a go .. I would say try it and see for yourself!

Fantastic experience: Had a bad crash on my dirt bike racing in the desert about 2 1/2 years ago. Coma, airlifted out near death experience etc. My body was buggered. Holly has helped me get back to normal, rebalancing my muscular/skeletal self. Proving to me as we progressed which bits needed more work than others and successfully guiding me to a healthy non creaking happier way of being. Superb!

Fantastic experience: I sought Holly's help after being diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism in April 2022. I had developed a bad relationship with food and was eating recklessly with no thought for what nutrients my body needed. I was weak in the gym and generally feeling pretty awful. Over the course of 3 months Holly has totally re - educated me on nutrition and the improvements I've seen have been immense. No question has ever been too silly and Holly has always been on hand with advice whenever I've needed it alongside lots of great weekly recipes tailored to a vegetarian and tips on sleeping etc. After a lot of persistence and accountability I'm now smashing pb's in the gym and feeling back to my old self again. I have no doubt that Holly's help got me back on track and I shall miss the weekly check ins and Holly's smiley face.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training with Holly around a year, I chose Holly specifically, because I knew she had the valuable experience I needed to ensure i would move well and build a solid foundation for getting back to heavy lifting. Post lockdown my body was a wreck, I wanted guidance and supervision for correct technique and With Hollys excellent knowledge I’ll soon be ready to hit those PB goals. She is specific, brilliant and extremely good at her job. I also refer my one. Clients to her for very specific body work.

Fantastic experience: Love training with Holly and Sara at Platform. I’ve always been fairly active but never done any kind of weight training before. I started at Platform 6 months ago and get so much more from it than pounding the pavement. I’m definitely much stronger and less injury prone now. The small group nature of the training means it is super personalised and Holly and Sara know every client’s strengths or niggles and tailor exercises to suit them. More than all that they’ve created an inclusive space for all genders and bodies in the heart of Seven Dials.

Fantastic experience: Awesome community gym where Holly supports and you with every little detail of your fitness journey. She has helped me massively with her extensive Olympic lifting knowledge taking the time to understand my weaknesses and taking a consistent approach at rectifying these. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to get fitter or specifically to learn Olympic Weightlifting

Fantastic experience: I've been training with Holly for over 7 years on and off and she has never failed to be encouraging, highly knowledgeable and inspiring. Her PT sessions are fun and challenging, but always at the right level and her technical expertise with lifting means you know you are in safe hands. So much so that she is now teaching my 10 year old the fundamentals of strength training too! The studio is a friendly and welcoming space and I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to work on their strength and fitness.

Fantastic experience: Exercise used to be one of the most daunting parts of my week - not that I ever ended up exercising. Just the thought of another HIIT workout would sent me into a spurt of procrastination. Joining Platform has COMPLETELY changed my attitude towards exercise in a surprisingly short amount of time. As women, gyms can be such intimidating, male-dominated spaces where a "go hard or go home" attitude runs rife. Through Platform, Coaches Sara and Holly have created a safe space for people (especially women) to come in, understand their bodies, movements and be reassured in the fact that it's OK not to knock yourself out to reach your goals. They've made exercise fun, lighthearted and informational in a way that only they can. I've gone from not even lifting a finger to lifting barbells on the regular!

Fantastic experience: I worked with coach Sara online while I was at school completing my A-levels. She created a very thorough plan of exercises 3/5 days a week depending on my work load of that week. I especially loved how flexible out schedule was so I never felt overwhelmed by all that I had to complete. Be a we were working online we had frequent checking over zoom where coach Sara would track my progress. I highly recommend coach Sara to anyone looking to enhance their performance at the gym.

Fantastic experience: I would fully recommend working with Sara from Platform to make sustainable and manageable changes to your life in order to live a healthier and more active lifestyle. Previously, I have signed up for fitness programmes or weight loss programmes and whilst I’ve had some success, I always end up giving up and putting on the weight I lost and giving up on my fitness goals. Working with Sara, she has has helped me consider my fitness, nutrition and life style goals and really helped to educate me holistically so it isn’t just a quick fix. I am an active agent in my programme and listened to rather than just having someone telling me what to do which makes this feel like I am making sustainable changes to my life style that I can continue long term. She is flexible and responsive, particularly as I have PCOS, and so my programme is totally tailored to me and what works for my body. She communicates with me regularly and we work together to ensure that the changes I make are realistic for my life style and that keeps me motivated and accountable. I have gained so much more confidence with working out, am losing weight and becoming more empowered to make lasting changes.

Fantastic experience: I have been training with Sara at Platform for 6 months now and she has changed my outlook on exercise! I was fed up with going to gyms and exercise classes where everything was super rushed and trying to get quick results that wouldn’t last. Sara has taught me how to use weights and train with the correct form for long term sustainability not a quick fix. When I joined, she did an assessment and I explained I had lower backache and painful knees which is now completely gone! My body composition has also massively changed, I have much more energy and I feel much more confident when using weights.
