Fantastic experience: Where do I begin... I've gone to GemsTone for four years now and it's safe to say I can call this studio my second home - it's gutting to think that it's almost time for me to move away... I remember coming here as a baby-faced teenager, having left pretty much everything I knew behind to go to university and being welcomed by the community at the studio, feeling no judgement and getting no questions about "why a guy would want to do pole dancing" like I got when I first started in Malaysia. Four years on, and that welcoming community is still ever-present. I look forward to coming to classes every week because I get to do something I love in such a positive environment. Not only that, but the teachers are all super-positive and accommodating so whatever your level, there'll always be something for you to learn and come away from a lesson feeling accomplished about. All-in-all, I highly recommend this studio - especially to any students at Royal Holloway! Come and give it a go, you might find your next hobby!

Fantastic experience: I've been a regular at Gemstone since 2016, and it has been an incredible journey. Whether you're a complete beginner or an advanced aerialist, their classes suit any level. I've tried pole, hoop, and silks classes, and each one has been amazing. The supportive teachers here make you feel welcome from day one, unlike some of the other studios I've been to. What sets Gemstone apart is the quality of their instruction. The teachers are not only skilled but also excellent at actually teaching, which is a refreshing change from the arrogant competition winners you sometimes encounter elsewhere. Over the years, I've progressed from a beginner to advanced levels in my aerial skills, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Fantastic experience: I started at GemsTone in early 2023 after having to move studios. It was immediately welcoming, fun and informative, a place to learn free of judgement. The classes are small enough to ensure that you receive personal feedback and students are safe. The lessons are varied but work within a syllabus, so no one is put at risk learning advanced moves before mastering the basics. All things I felt were lacking in previous experiences. The instructors are excellent, not just as practitioners but as teachers, finding ways to help you understand, and suggesting scaled options for those with limitations in strength, flexibility, confidence or so on. The ability to self train is excellent when you want to work on skills at your own pace. In short I thoroughly recommend GemsTone to train, learn and have fun.

Fantastic experience: I have been doing pole fitness and aerial hoop classes here for 3 years now and they are the highlight of my week. The instructors are really friendly and supportive, as is everyone who attends. The classes here have really helped with my confidence and I highly recommend them to anyone who is thinking about giving it a go :)

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Gemstone Fitness for two years now and could not be happier! It’s local to me, and the instructors are amazing!! All the girls are really supportive and attending the classes has helped me gain back strength and flexibility and I’ve also gained confidence in myself. I started off with Pole Fitness, but have since expanded my skills into Aerial Hoop, Flying Pole and Pole Dance! There is such good variety and classes are always happening so it’s really flexible around busy schedules.

Fantastic experience: An ideal place to get fit in unusual ways! The instructors are all lovely and encouraging, no matter what your experience level with circus arts is. I attended pole fitness and aerial hoop classes, both of which I fell in love with! The space is lovely and you will leave with a guaranteed smile on your face (and a few friction burns) :)

Fantastic experience: Gemstone is the only place I ever go for my aerial dance lessons. The teachers are very well qualified and lessons, interesting fun and suitable for each level. I have grown from a complete beginner at Pole to intermediate 2 level within about a year and a half and my love of the sport has only grown greater from being with these wonderful people. Not only are the lessons fantastic, the whole ethos and atmosphere of the studio is welcoming and I spend many hours just laughing with my friends there. Gem you are a wonder, don't ever change <3

Fantastic experience: The best pole and hoop classes around! Absolutely love Gems Wednesday pole classes and been having private hoop lessons with Louise which are truly challenging but again so so good! For beginners to advanced there is something for everyone!
