Fantastic experience: *2 years on from my review below and at the outset I wouldn't have believed the difference it's made to my health. If you get the chance to learn with Sarah, you'll be doing yourself a gigantic favour!! Turning to my physio, himself a grand master of the art of neuromuscular therapy, I asked if Pilates would help with my oh-so-familiar back pain. “Yes” came the reply. One week later I’m at a class run by Sarah. Less than ten sessions later I can now pick up the dogs’ bowls first thing in the morning - pain free! That’s a first for maybe ten years. I can do garden stuff, ride motorcycles and carry weights that I’d not dared even look at before. Still taking care of course but the core strengthening that Pilates delivers when done properly is working so well for me. And ‘done properly’ is where Sarah comes in. In a nutshell, Sarah is professional, careful and a truly helpful instructor who ensures each exercise is working for you...guiding sometimes minute adjustments until the exercise feels right and is delivering the promised benefits. Not to mention she’s a delightful, warm and sensitive instructor. She runs small classes too which ensures she can give and I can get, the kind of physical improvement I am now eager to have more of. I’m simply grateful. Thank you Sarah.
Fantastic experience: Sarah was recommended to me as a pilates instructor to help work with me to build up core strength and overall balance and alignment, with a view to alleviate facet joint pain in my lower back. I have found Sarah to be both professional and friendly; she put me at ease right away. After 8 sessions with her, I now feel that I am making more progress than I ever thought I would in that time; my pain has decreased dramatically and I am able to pay more attention to the way I move, sit and do the exercises with the confidence that I am actually doing them 'right' rather than trying to practise alone. Sarah tailors each week to my needs and we have gone at a pace where I have made progress, but also without being pushed too hard. She does give homework - but that is a good thing! I only wish I had taken up pilates years ago - but I am told it is never too late :)
