Fantastic experience: I trained with James for the year leading up to my wedding, and I couldn't be happier with the results. He taught me how to properly use weights and I gained so much confidence and knowledge about training properly. Fantastic experience: I've been training with James for the last five months and can't recommend him highly enough. James' knowledge is second to none and despite my initial scepticism, he's managed to completely transform my previous gym-phobic tendencies! I have several old injuries and some limitations and James has been fantastic at helping the rehabilitation process. I'm now doing things I thought would always be beyond me. James has been helping to prepare me for an endurance cycling event and the difference in just a few months has been huge. The sessions never get boring and the possibilities for continuous improvement seem endless. As well as supporting me to get physically stronger and more resilient, James has also managed to give me a new confidence in my own abilities, which is priceless.

Fantastic experience: James is an excellent personal trainer who’s helped me to become stronger and more mobile after a long-term back injury. I was initially nervous about pushing my back too far and making things worse, but working with James has made me much more confident in the gym. His in-person sessions are always enjoyable and challenging (in a good way!), and he offers online training to help me stay consistent and continue making progress in my own time. He’s also very friendly and knowledgeable, and he’s able to tailor sessions to how I’m feeling each week. The results speak for themselves - my back is much less of an issue in my day-to-day life, I’m lifting heavier weights and able to do more challenging exercises. I’d highly recommend him to anyone looking for a PT!

Fantastic experience: James is extremely knowledgeable, highly intelligent and a gifted coach - a rare breed in the PT world. I left every session feeling motivated and having learned or improved skill/technique. I would highly recommend him!

Fantastic experience: I've been training with James for 2-3 years now and I've definitely seen strong results and supportive coaching throughout. James has personalised and adapted training for me week to week whilst keeping it engaging. He has even helped rehab multiple injuries and built a safe program to get back on track. Even through a change to a more online approach, he's been ever present and provided some insightful feedback to help with my training and get results. I've even been able to learn completely new skills with gymnastics rings and calisthenics on top of weightlifting which speaks to the breadth of his knowledge to keep training fun and interesting throughout. On top of everything else he's been a pleasure to talk to and very understanding. I'd highly recommend giving training with JL Fitness solutions a go.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training with James for the last 6 months, I have really noticed a difference in my strength and stamina since I started training. James offers 1-1 PT sessions and an app with personalised training regimes that fit into my workout schedule. Including videos so I can ensure I have the right technique. James also offers nutrition advice and body measurements so that you can focus on your eating habits and see results not just on the scales.

Fantastic experience: James is an outstanding personal trainer. He is very present and attentive, investigates issues/concerns to their core and looks for solutions. He is knowledgeable and empathetic. He pushes you, cares about your long-term progress, and points out signs of it in a supportive manner. Even for immediate improvements, I can think of numerous times when an exercise that seemed impossible to do was made possible by James via advice for a change of grip or a stretch that I didn't know I needed. Finally, James creates a very safe and comfortable environment at the gym, with a focus on what the body can achieve and less on what any measurements/social pressures might indicate or demand, unless you specifically care about them. If these things are important to you too, then James is your guy! :)

Fantastic experience: I heartily recommend James as a personal trainer. I was never a natural at sports at school and so on, and that carried through into quite a lot of self-consciousness about working out, going to the gym etc. But James absolutely took me as I was when we started training, and began to patiently work with all these hang-ups of mine (plus quite a bit of physical laziness on my part!) without any judgement, and with loads of genuine encouragement, and the result has been that my confidence has increased loads and I now really enjoy going the gym by myself, as well as my weekly sessions with James. He has a really intuitive personal approach which has worked brilliantly for me!

Fantastic experience: Before my sessions with James I hadn’t had a PT, or even been in a gym. I’d been running for a long time so I had a base level of cardio but I wasn’t sure what to expect from a gym and nervous about what I wouldn’t be able to do. After one year of sessions with him I couldn’t be happier. James is the nicest guy and a very compassionate trainer, as well as a very well informed one. Because of him I’ve been consistent for a whole year and have seen a gradual improvement in my strength and mindset. He was also fantastic when I had an injury and whenever I’ve travelled away from London – in both cases he’s given me programmes that work with what I’m able to do and what I have to hand. Fantastic experience: I love working with James. I came to him after some time out, a back injury and a lack of confidence. Since day 1 he’s helped me do things I thought would be impossible, but every day I grow stronger, and so does my confidence. He is patient, adaptable, reliable, excellent communicator, and keeps sessions varied. He also uses a great app with great videos so I can see exactly how to set up and are great reminders when I’m working out alone. And he’s really flexible, I missed a few sessions when sick and he quickly helped me rearrange. Appreciate your work James!

Fantastic experience: I have had the pleasure of working with James for over two years. Not only is he very easy to work with and very flexible with scheduling etc, he has an encyclopaedic knowledge of how to develop strength in different muscle groups for any sport under the sun (in my case cycling). The programme is never boring, James is constantly changing it up, encouraging me to challenge myself more but also within sensible limits. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Fantastic experience: James is excellent. He not only built a tailored programme around my specific needs (weight loss and toning up), but he is also a fantastic coach. His guidance and advice has been invaluable - from teaching me how to do certain lifts and use gym equipment, to helping me balance my diet / nutrition. When I first started working with James, I really struggled to get into the gym due to a serious lack of confidence, but through our conversations and work together, I very quickly learned to love it and ultimately surpassed the goals we initially set. Across the board James is a wealth of knowledge, and also helped me through a number of shoulder and back related injuries too; adjusting the programme to accommodate etc. I can’t recommend James and JL Fitness Solutions enough.

Fantastic experience: I was in London for a few weeks for work, and I didn’t want to lose my workout continuity. Good thing James was open to working with me even for a short period of time. He asked for my typical workout schedule to have a better understanding of what I wanted out of my sessions. After seeing how I moved and doing a bit of homework on my type of workouts, his sessions for me were on point. I felt good every time we finish a session. Plus, he’s also a great coach. Always checking to see if you’re okay, pushing you slightly and nicely to see what you could do. He also breaks down the instructions really well. Even with the most technical workouts, he can break it down so well that you can do the workout technically well. Doing a clean, for example, is one of the more complicated workouts, but he explained that so well to me. Definitely when I’m back in London, I’ll be working with him again.

Fantastic experience: I started training with James 10 months ago having never properly been to the gym before. Due to my anxiety and lack of self confidence, I exclusively worked out at home. James was so understanding from the start, and looking back it’s amazing how much my confidence (and strength) has grown in less than a year. He teaches you to approach exercise in a fun yet challenging and informed way, and completely changed my perception of both working out and my body’s abilities. If you have a question, he’ll know the answer. And if you want to learn something, he’ll teach it to you in a safe and personalised way. Initial ability, confidence, medications, injuries and anything else that may feel like a barrier become challenges which James teaches you to overcome. I feel far healthier, stronger and more confident since starting sessions, and on top of all this he’s just an all round nice guy. Thank you James!

Fantastic experience: I went to James with recurring issues in my shoulders, both have been operated on. Focusing on my specific needs James has been able to restore my confidence in my shoulders, allowing me to play sport without worry for the first time in years, and build strength. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I started working with James after a 5 month absence from the gym due to lockdown, with a view to losing weight, building confidence in my workouts and reestablishing my pre-lockdown fitness. James clearly understood and listened to what I wanted to achieve, and has put together a bespoke, robust and achievable program for me to follow. In a very short space of time I was seeing my fitness and strength progress, and our weekly sessions are something I always look forward to. James’ expertise and knowledge of health and fitness are absolutely second to none, and his answers to any questions I have reflect that completely. Outside of our weekly sessions, James provides me with a fully supported coaching program that pushes me just enough to keep me engaged and focused on my goals - not being a particularly sporty person myself, this is something that’s very important to me. Further support is available by his absolutely excellent and regularly updated social media channels - you can tell health and fitness is genuine passion for James, not “just a job”. On top of all of this, James is a genuinely friendly, caring and encouraging coach and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him as a personal trainer to anyone, regardless of ability or fitness level.

Fantastic experience: James is a fantastic PT. He offers coaching beyond your standard weights and encourages whole body movements to promote strength, muscle gain and weight loss. The variety of exercises covered makes the experience more interesting, enjoyable and sustainable. Even though I am not the most committed gym goer training with James has made me a lot stronger and the difference was noticeable quite quickly. His chat ain’t too bad either. 10/10 would recommend!

Fantastic experience: I trained with James for about 8 months. He's a very capable and knowledgeable PT. Fantastic experience: When I was looking at my options for personal training sessions, James stood out because of his emphasis on exercises and workouts focused on calisthenics and natural body movements. As someone who was focused on getting stronger, I found Jame’s approach to be very inline with that. From lifting weights to pull ups and kettlebells, the workouts were intense but very gratifying. All of it felt natural and I didn’t feel I was doing things that I wouldn’t normally do (i.e lifting things). I went from not being being able to do more than 1 pull up to now being able to do 10 times that. I can also deadlift my own weight which again was a significant personal milestone. I would highly recommend James to anyone looking to improve their health and get stronger in the process.

Fantastic experience: James is Incredible! It feels like he is a miracle worker. Although you are doing the work and putting in the time and effort it is still shocking when you get to your second test week and you are stronger than you would have believed possible. I've been so impressed with my progress, my strength has increased exponentially because he keeps the workouts fresh, fun but also stable and achievable. I've lost fat and inches and am far more toned but best of all is I've started to feel powerful. His plans are tailor made to your goals and I achieved my first goal in the first week!!! He knows exactly what he is doing and though trusting the process can be hard I've found trusting James extremely easy. James' knowledge about fitness and the body permeates into the way his plans and training programs are set up to ensure you are safe and completing the exercise with correct form. With his help I have been able to squat with a far better range of motion despite having disproportionately long legs. James is a superhero and he makes you feel like one too I highly recommend him!!!!

Fantastic experience: James is the man. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. He’s great at adapting his workout plan based to your level of fitness and fitness goals. I’d highly recommend him to anyone interested in a personal trainer. His only downside is he likes Rugby more than Football.

Fantastic experience: I contacted James about performance based nutrition a few months ago and since speaking with him I have a much clearer idea of why I was feeling the way I was and why everything was feeling so tough, I've been following the guidelines he set out for me in regards to macro's and calories and I have to say my performance is back on track, my running times have improved and Im able to put more intensity into my sessions rather than 'going through the motions'

Fantastic experience: I've been working with James for about 7 months and could not recommend him more! At the start of the year, a back injury meant I could barely move, let alone get to the gym. James has been absolutely instrumental in getting me from that point, to where I am today. He has great knowledge about my injuries and has always developed our sessions to work with and react to my back in a way that has meant I am constantly improving and getting stronger. I have seen huge progress in what I am able to do, but James has also introduced me to a huge variety of exercises, so there's no stagnation or boredom. Fantastic experience: I have been training with James Lee Of JL Fitness Solutions for about 12 weeks and I’m already seeing great results. I have lost 5kg. The training James has provided has been first class. He has excellent knowledge of the body and how to build strength. He has been a very useful guide to my nutrition also, think like most people is the tricky part of getting into shape. He has expert knowledge in this area too. Just understanding the caloric deficiency of certain foods and how this can effect your progress. There were certain foods, snacks like flapjacks for example, I didn’t realise how many calories were in one flapjack with is the equivalent of the same amount I could be having in a nutritious full meal. Knowing this allows you to work these snacks into your nutrition without overeating high caloric foods. Having an expert like James who can guide you will save you a lot of time, energy and guessing. If you have questions he is always willing and there to guide you, both inside the gym and outside the gym. James has also helped me get back into gymnastics Rings workouts after about 10 years off from doing these exercises (I have some videos of our sessions on my Instagram profile @astenregis so you can see some of my progress for yourself). Gymnastics Rings is probably the hardest strength building tool, especially when carrying over 100kg as I was, so this is testament to James’ expert, first class training. Highly recommended, worth every penny,

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training with James for about 9 months now and I like to think this is just the beginning. I love James’s creativity in developing a type of training that is perfect for me and my needs- I am a practitioner of Ashtanga, a challenging system of yoga, and we’ve been using the sessions to improve my strength and active mobility on specific muscle groups that are key to my practice. With that, I started to think of training in a completely different way; no longer the necessary evil, or simply a way to get fit, but a brilliant tool to help me improve in something I’m passionate about. I couldn’t think of anyone more knowledgable and competent than James to support me on this journey.

Fantastic experience: James is my personal trainer for over nine months. My initial goals were to build strengths and develop my mobility and flexibility. We focused initially on exercises using my own body weight. These really helped me to build basics for further training. In particular I enjoyed hand stands, crawls and squats to gain correct form. Now we focus on lifting weights and we can see improvement in terms of technique and the weights I lift. I find James’ approach very thoughtful and professional. He is also kind and determined. He tracks my progress and he takes me to basic movements if my mobility or strength is not sufficient. He makes sure that we have strong foundations before we increase the weights or move on to more complex exercises. James also gives useful nutrional advice. As an academic my work is office based and it is not conducive to sustain correct posture. With James I have seen improvement in my posture, body image and overall confidence. I look forward to our sessions as they set me well for my work later in the day. I trust his professional opinion and feel that I am in good hands to practise with him.

Fantastic experience: I have to say that James did more than I expected in terms of training. This is not only about making training programs and cheering you up when performing the exercises, the experience with James is a dynamic process, on-going everyday. Really instructed on sport, health and nutrition, James uses all his knowledge to build up a complete, tailored to your needs program that balances your expectations with respect to your health and abilities, including a nutrition part. Unfortunately I had to stop my training experience with him because of relocation... But I am sure I won't find somebody else as good as him.

Fantastic experience: James is the most knowledgeable and sustainable results focussed PT I have ever worked with. Not only will he get you the results you want but you will have great fun getting there! After trying at the gym for 6 years with minimal results, I saw the biggest positive change in my body I've ever achieved after only 2 months of working with James!
