Fantastic experience: An awesome environment for anyone wanting to learn grappling looking a aspects of Judy, BJJ and orherstyles. A friendly and high standard bunch of guys who have between them competed and meddled internationally. A good starting place for anyone looking to get into MMA and a must see for any competing fighters.

Fantastic experience: All three of our children train at Craig Ewers Academy doing Judo. Our son is a 1st Dan Black belt and competes at a high level. The excellent degree of training he receives helps him get the results. He is supported and thoroughly enjoys training at CEA. He has also done BJJ on occasions, the class is full of welcoming individuals and the training and skills taught are of a very high level. My daughters both love training at CEA and they also compete in Judo. The training they receive is also of a high standard, their confidence has grown within the sport and they have made many friends there. The environment is welcoming and enjoyable and everyone is made to feel at ease when they arrive. Highly recommend joining CEA!

The coaching is high-level across judo, BJJ (gi and no gi), and grappling. It’s a proper gym – professional, focused, and grounded in old-school values like discipline, respect, and hard work. There’s no ego, just great training and a strong community. My boys love it, and the progress they’ve made speaks for itself. It’s not flashy – it’s authentic. The mats are full of focus, effort, and a strong sense of community. My boys loves training here, and I can honestly say it’s made a positive impact on their confidence, resilience, and love for the sport. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic Gym! Well decorated coaches in multiple disciplines, including Judo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, MMA, Muay Thai and Wrestling. Perfect for competition focused players and casuals alike. Good timetable with plenty on, so easy to work around what suits you. Good mix of lads and ladies. Decent parking in the area. Super friendly bunch. Would recommend trying it out or popping in for a couple sessions if you're visiting Cardiff.

Fantastic experience: Big shoutout to the guy’s at CEA. I’ve been a few times and I can’t fault the training or coaching in any way. I do a lot of reporting on Welsh MMA and naturally have worked with a few of their regular fighters and if you want proof of how good the gym, look at the names that are currently fighting there. The facilities are top quality, its in a prime location and I’d highly recommend the gym to anybody interested in getting into the fighting and BJJ!

Fantastic experience: Visiting Cardiff for work. Didn’t have the opportunity to attend the class in the end but when I emailed Craig to ask if drop-ins were welcome, he responded promptly with class options and an invitation to come on down.

Fantastic experience: amazing place to train for guys, girls and kids, top level coaches in mma and jiu jitsu, as well as judo and Muay thai which i haven't had chance to try out yet. many of the guys have gone on to fight in professional promotions but day to day its a very friendly atmosphere and a focus on the actual sport itself. Would love to see more interclub as its a great chance of newer guys like me to get competing, easy 10 out of 10

Fantastic experience: I recently joined Craig’s, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The variety of classes, including MMA, judo, jiu-jitsu, and Muay Thai, caters to every interest and skill level. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, with a friendly group of people who are always eager to support and encourage each other. The instructors and coaches are amazing, with well-thought-out sessions that not only challenge me but also help me grow and improve with each class. I highly recommend this club to anyone looking to try out any of the classes mentioned.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Craig's since before COVID. Craig doesn't put pressure on anyone to go at a pace where they're not comfortable. I couldn't do a forward or backward roll when I joined, I'm now a purple belt. He's knowledgeable, really down to earth and fair. There's no weird cult type sessions, no hidden costs, what you see is what you get. Good vibes. Would recommend to anyone. You'll make friends for life, can be absolutely yourself and have a laugh while you train. Wish I found this place years ago!

Fantastic experience: Totally enjoyed the Muay Thai classes from Aurimas Kumza every Wednesday at 5pm super!!! Such a uplifting, great cardio, legs and arms work out! AMAZING

Fantastic experience: I reached out to Craig via WhatsApp and he responded quickly, good information with a flexible and available schedule. I walked into a Sunday Advanced Class full of elite athletes and spent the morning fighting for my life in a controlled, professional and high level environment. More than I could have hoped for. Went back to a few classes after as I was in town for a week and it was the same level in all the sessions. Special mention to Craig and Oli for the time, patience and friendliness. I’ll see you again next time I’m in Wales. To anyone reading this, if you’re in Cardiff and looking for a place to train. This is it, look no further.

Fantastic experience: Have been training at CEA for around 6 months and can honestly say it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made. Having put off joining a club for a number of years and, since finally making the choice to head down, all the guys and girls at Craig’s place have been incredibly welcoming and the coaching is world class! A big group of people with mixed abilities, backgrounds and training goals can be difficult to manage but the sessions are well designed to suit everyone’s needs - makes me wish I’d started years ago and would strongly recommend anyone considering it to come down!

Fantastic experience: I love this place, a Bjj, judo, no gi and wrestling mecca in Cardiff. South Wales has a very up and coming grappling scene at the moment but Craig covers all bases in one gym. My daughter loves it there too so it's a thumbs up for adults and kids alike
