Fantastic experience: I wanted to lose weight, gain confidence & tone up. Chris created a diet & exercise programme that I found worked for me, and with his encouragement & expertise, and my own commitment, I managed to achieve all of my goals within a 4-month time period. Fantastic experience: Chris is a brilliant personal trainer. He's very knowledgeable about diet, exercise and human biology. His sessions are very enjoyable and pitched at the right level of challenge depending on where you're at. Chris also provides exercises between sessions and opt in seminars. I thoroughly recommend!

Fantastic experience: A year ago I was struggling with recurring back issues after herniating a disk in my back. Since seeing Chris I am not only no longer having back issues but feel so much healthier and stronger. I have gone from refusing to pick up my 3 year old, to happily carrying my now 4 year old to bed. Chris is very suportive and knowledgeable, happy to adapt exercises for me whilst also pushing me to acheive things i wouldnt have thought possible! He is part PT, part phisio, part coach! I would thoroughly recommend him (in fact my husband now sees him too!).

Fantastic experience: As fast approaching 60, I wanted to exercise even though I had sore joints and muscles. Chris carefully listened and worked on building my strength and flexibility. He has a warm, welcoming studio, giving his full attention working 1:1 with each client for their session. Chris devises individual programs, changing and adapting themas needs require.

Fantastic experience: Following surgery to mend a meniscus tear in March 2022, I approached Chris for help with rehabilitation so that I could get back to playing tennis competitively. With his encouragement and focussed exercise programme, both in person (weekly) and online (daily) I now feel stronger and fitter than ever and am enjoying being back on court. His training sessions are always challenging and stretch me that little bit further. Chris’s sense of humour comes to the fore as he encourages me to dig deep when I think I’ve used up that last ounce of energy! Chris has a great depth of knowledge and experience and I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone looking to recover from injury and to improve their strength and fitness.

Fantastic experience: Being coached by Chris is a huge pleasure and will give you a sense of reward you may not have expected. ‘Coach’ is a broad term. It means he is part teacher, part planner, part encourager, part niggle manager and physio, part nutritionist, and part angel always sat on your shoulder helping you make good decisions. For anyone who has spent time exercising Chris will elevate whatever you are doing and help you achieve a goal you thought was unattainable. He will help you train smarter, making better use of the time you spend exercising, and helping you to focus on the parts of you that need the most attention. I now see that there is little point in doing the same old exercises at the gym or the same old runs if they aren’t part of a focused plan. For me this meant building and executing a training plan to get a half marathon PB, with lots of injury prevention and management included. Chris is a great guy to be around and I couldn’t recommend his coaching more.

Fantastic experience: I have had the pleasure to train with Chris online and in person over the past 2 years. He completed transformed me as a person. Chris’ advice on nutrition is very simple to follow and effective, the body shape change is gradual, enjoyable and sustainable. The training plan is tailored to my goal. I ran up to 50k per week throughout these 2 years without a single injury – all tiny niggles were managed immediately. Highly recommend Chris if you are in Loughborough or beyond. I live in London, remote completely training completely worked!

Fantastic experience: I reached out to Chris in the September of 2020. I had sustained a shoulder injury whilst at the gym in the January which was completely debilitating. I was used to training 5-6 times per week and loved every minute of it, so sustaining an injury like that was the end of the world to me. I tried physio therapy, acupuncture, NHS physio, and sports massage but nothing worked. I happened across one of Chris's posts on FB whilst we were in lock down and just happened to ask if he could help me with a poorly shoulder. His response was instant and he offered me some free advice, alongside some exercises that might help. This gave me every confidence in Chris's genuine nature. I booked an online consultation with him and met him face to face on Zoom. Chris started me off with some exercises to support and stabilise my shoulder as well as exercises for the rest of my more able body. At last I felt like I was getting somewhere and that I had someone I could trust. I decided to engage Chris as a personal trainer and I haven't looked back. I am able to chest press, shoulder press, bench press, TRX row and the list goes on and the weights I lift are something to be proud of too. My shoulder injury is a thing of the past and does not give me any issues and as well as that, Chris's personal training services are brilliant. He really understands the body's physiology and sets training programmes to suit my body's ability. They are super easy to access on an app on my phone, throughout the week, and we meet up once a week too. Alongside that, Chris monitors my nutrition and I know how many calories I should be eating a day to maintain my weight or lose a bit if I want to. During lockdown, Chris created some great 'get started' on line courses that everyone can access from around £1 a day. I have tried the 21 day Move Well Challenge. It really helps establish the foundations if you are just getting back into your fitness. Chris really has thought of everything. Thanks Chris, it has been an amazing journey so far and I am looking forward to seeing what we can go on to achieve.

Fantastic experience: Lockdown in March 2019 gave me the opportunity to review my health & fitness and decide at 62, I might need to look at developing my strength, endurance and mobility levels. I was introduced to Chris by a friend and was able to start an on-line, fully supported programme with him. Chris went above and beyond all expectations I had of a personal trainer. I fully trust him and know that he will push me to a level that will get the best out of my session and move me towards my goals. I have always felt supported in every aspect of my training including nutritional guidance, improving mobility and developing my goals. Although loosing weight was not of significant importance to me I did loose 3kg but more importantly I feel have more stamina and flexibility. My programmes have always been challenging but not beyond me. I feel more toned with improved flexibility and less joint pain. I can't recommend Chris Mears highly enough; I am so thankful I found him.

Fantastic experience: Once upon a time I bought a red dress – it was beautiful and the only one of its type in the shop. The only problem was that it was 2 sizes too small! After 3 months of Chris’s online programme, the dress fits perfectly. I am so pleased to have lost around 10% of my body weight in 3 months and at a healthy rate of 0.5 kg per week. It has been a pleasure working with Chris – his extensive knowledge about nutrition along with his patience, humour and commitment to supporting me have brought great results. I have had my eyes opened about what massive improvements can be achieved without sacrificing the foods that I enjoy. I feel much healthier and happier - many thanks to Chris!

Fantastic experience: I have recently completely a four week online programme of ‘Move well, eat well, live well’ with Chris and have been absolutely delighted with the results! Having never embarked on anything similar to this before, my initial expectations were not only achieved but exceeded way beyond what I could have hoped! Perhaps more surprisingly, for me, has been the change in my eating patterns achieved with Chris’s guidance and support. I really can’t recommend Chris's programme enough; the tailored daily/weekly exercise programme created by Chris, coupled with the online coaching support provided the perfect partnership to help me realise results far beyond anything I hoped to achieve. And the online nature of the programme meant I could manage sessions around my diary, all without the need to leave my house! A great training package delivered by a great trainer; thanks Chris!

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to Chris after a serious road accident, where I sustained many injuries, worst being a broken femur. I had to learn to walk again, then I went to Chris. He developed a programme for me to recover the previous strength in my legs, but also that increased flexibity that I had lost in several areas. Chris modified the programme as I progressed. Chris also helped with my nutrition and weight reduction. The overall experience was fantastic, his manner is good, but he won't let you coast. He has returned me to be able to continue with my walking, running and agility. Can't recommend him highly enough. Thanks Chris

Fantastic experience: I found this so good - really got me started on better eating habits just by knowing ( and tracking) intake - needed something that was sustainable rather than quick fix and give up. What really helped me what the common sense maths - calories in v calories out - i.e. needing a deficit. Thoroughly recommend

Fantastic experience: I saw Chris for a few months, but had to stop due to personal reasons, but in that short time Chris helped me loose 11lbs. He helped me understand about nutrition , and was very supportive. I also benefitted from the exercises he showed me to help me recover after a fall.

Fantastic experience: Over the years I have tried different diets with varying degrees of success but always seem to end up with the weight coming back on. I started with Chris in January. I now understand how much I can eat, to lose weight, or to maintain weight, and that puts me back in charge. If I have a busy weekend of indulgence looming, I can modify my eating and activity for the week leading up to it. I also now understand the importance of protein to help me maintain my tone. My change of understanding and thinking, with a little effort means that I am more confident in the future of keeping control. Thanks Chris!

Fantastic experience: I came to Chris on his 14 day shape up course earlier this year, I was unhappy with my weight being 118.5kg 11 weeks later I have lost 16kg in total so far, this is just following the advice from the course. I have not had to up my activity at all during this period. Chris is very knowledgeable and he bases is course on evidence unlike some of the so called professionals you may have come across before with their fad diets and exercise. Chris tells you how it is and how you can do it whilst still eating the things you love. Over time you just make better and informed choices on what you eat once Chris gives you the knowledge. I could not be happier now with how I feel. I never though it possible for me to lose this amount of weight in this period of time and I now actually eat more!! Thank you Chris.

Fantastic experience: I started a course with Chris in January and haven't looked back! I've learnt so much about nutrition and fitness, I'm consistently losing weight whilst eating chocolate everyday - the dream! He's incredibly supportive and the group sessions I attend every week are fun and effective. If you are looking to tone up and lose weight, I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I started my PT sessions with Chris nearly 3 years ago and I have to say I don’t regret it. Since I started with Chris I have lost 3 dress sizes and am much happier with my self confidence. I was reluctant to start training as I was worried it will be really hard and I wouldn’t be able to keep up. Chris has made a difference to my confidence and has given me a lot of useful advice on exercise, healthy eating and any injuries I have. I would definitely recommend Chris to anyone. I really enjoy my sessions with Chris

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training with Chris for 8 years, responding to a request, through my local tennis club, for anyone interested in starting a fitness programme with him. I wasn't really a fan of the gym and tennis was my only form of regular exercise. However, conscious of the years rolling on, I accepted that I needed to work harder at keeping in shape, particularly with my penchant for cake! From the outset, I was very impressed with Chris’s commitment, motivation and drive. He is very personable and in his very natural, easy way he makes you work harder than if you were on your own. No two sessions are the same, which immediately eliminates the boredom factor so often associated with gym work. Chris adapts my programme to my needs, whether it’s skiing prep, golf specific strengthening or rehab work for a shoulder injury following a fall from my bike. Such is his commitment to any injury/ache/pain I’ve presented him with, that I am able to enjoy all my chosen activities without compromise. He has taught me the importance of listening to my body. I am in my mid 50’s and have never been fitter thanks to Chris’s guidance and encouragement. I cannot recommend Chris highly enough for his extensive knowledge on fitness and nutrition, his dedication to his clients’ needs and his enthusiasm. Commit to Chris and I can guarantee you will have a greater sense of well being, improved fitness and a renewed spring in your step.

Fantastic experience: I have been training with Chris now for almost 3 years. I cannot believe how much weight I have lost, how much stronger I am and how much healthier I am feeling. I have had a set back with a diagnosis of osteoarthritis in my left hip and am now facing a hip replacement. Chris has worked to ensure I have maintained a level of mobility whilst awaiting the operation. Can't wait for the hard work in rehabilitation!!

Fantastic experience: One of the best decisions I have ever made........... I first came to see Chris in February 2015 after a prolonged period of yo yo dieting. I was struggling to keep any weight loss off and also felt continually that I had no energy and no life outside of my job. Family illness made me think a lot more about work/life balance and my own health and wellbeing. Fast forward three and a half years and I am over 3 stone lighter and have reduced my body fat percentage by over 20%. More importantly I have a much better awareness of how what I eat and my activity levels impacts in a positive way upon my health. Throughout this time Chris has inspired me to aim for challenges I would never have thought possible whilst setting realistic goals for steady improvement. I now have a life outside work and I am a sub 4 hour marathon runner. Although I was initially apprehensive about training on a 1 to 1 basis I am so glad I took the plunge - Chris keeps me accountable to my goals with varied, well thought out training sessions and whilst he makes sure I work hard to the best of my ability he is easy to get on with and connects well with all his clients. Replying to the advert from Chris Mears Health and Fitness was one of the best decisions I have ever made to invest in myself.
