Fantastic experience: I booked a block of 10 sessions with David after getting a number of small injuries whilst training (I am a frequent runner). I had always neglected strength and conditioning training but David’s expert knowledge was absolutely brilliant to incorporate some key strength routines into my training and ensure that I was doing those movements (back squats, deadlifts etc.) with the correct technique, so I could also train with confidence on my own in the future. 3 years later I am still working on the same strength and conditioning routine, and the number of small injuries effecting my training have reduced massively. I’d go back to David for further sessions over anyone else in Cambridgeshire, very very knowledgeable and also a great guy.

Fantastic experience: I really benefited from my sessions with David. He is very knowledgeable and gives a lot of encouragement. The sessions with him were always fun. I combined sessions with him with working out on my own, and that was a perfect mix! I would strongly recommend him to anyone who wants to improve their physical health. As a novelist I also got a lot of inspiration for one of my books.

Fantastic experience: I am a woman in her early seventies who has had some physical injuries. Training with David for the past five years restores me physically, mentally and emotionally. He is so knowledgeable and skilled that I have complete trust in the exercises he makes me do. Often I would go to our sessions feeling really tired; our training always energized me and lifted my mood. I am no longer in Cambridge but I am looking forward to training with David when I get back in another month. I still do many of the exercises he taught me. I lift my mood while in the States by thinking of one of my favourite exercises we did on Jesus Green, hanging on the rings under a beautiful tree and looking up at the sky filtered through the leaves. David has been very creative in adapting training to an outdoors environment; I really love it. He also has made me much more conscious of how I move and use my body. Seemingly simple things such as walking bare foot and walking backwards give me a whole new sense of relating to my body. Thanks to David’s training I am more flexible than I used to be, stronger too; unlike many of my peers, I am still hiking in the hills and riding my bike. David is a first-rate trainer, by far the best I have known, and a great person.

Fantastic experience: Training with David is the best investment in my health I've ever made. He makes every session feel achievable, and through consistency I found myself making progress that I didn't believe was possible, gaining both strength and fitness. I trained with David whilst pregnant too, and the sessions were pitched perfectly. David is so calm and knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Fantastic experience: I have been training with David for several years. He is a highly experienced, professional and conscientious trainer. He employs an integrated approach which combines physical exercise, well-being and nutrition. He devised a personal training programme for me based on my own fitness objectives and goals. We train twice a week – one day in the gym and one day outside. This balance works out well for me and provides a flexible schedule that is varied, stimulating and challenging. He knows how far to push me without over-doing it, and he gets the balance just right. The training sessions are varied and never monotonous. He also trains online which provides an alternative training option, which can be very useful especially if you travel abroad or prefer to stay in your own home. I have seen significant changes in my strength and my ability to achieve specific goals – from running a 5km fun run to a marathon and attending ladies’ boxing classes. He has given me the confidence to achieve my personal objectives. He also helped me to recover from a shoulder injury. His patience, guidance, and encouragement were invaluable. I have now fully recovered. In addition to his personal clients, David also coaches professional and amateur athletes. He is a highly respected individual and a pleasure to work with. He has a wonderful personality and a great sense of humour. I enjoy my training sessions with him weekly. I highly recommend David as a personal trainer.

Fantastic experience: I have been having regular sessions with David for many years. In total I have managed to lose 17kg with David’s help. He is a great motivator and very calm. Initially I was hesitant to start as I don’t respond well to criticism and I was anxious that I would look “silly” in the gym. I am glad that I did try, in time I became more confident in a gym setting. David pushes me but also allows me to give input in my sessions. I usually do upper and lower body exercises in a session however if I have two in a week I do one upper and one lower body session. I am proud that I have become stronger and more toned. I often feel more energised after my sessions and I have a sense of accomplishment afterwards.

Fantastic experience: I have been working with David for almost 3 years now and there is a reason I keep using him. As an elite runner, he has helped fill a missing puzzle for my athletics making me stronger and helped keep niggles at bay. He is exceedingly knowledgeable and is able to adapt sessions accordingly. I feel I have an understanding behind why we do the exercises we do and feel comfortable about how each session fits into the bigger picture. Thank you David - I feel very lucky to have found you!

Fantastic experience: David is an experienced and supportive trainer. We started in the gym, an environment I hadn't been used to exercising in. I was planning to do 6 months training to kick start my return to fitness after having children. That was 7 years ago! I love training with David. It is fun, varied and challenging in a positive way. I feel better in my body, movement and mind. During covid we trained outside. I have enjoyed this so much this is where we now meet. Sometimes he'll train me at home if I need to because of the kids. David has excellent knowledge and the training we do has evolved with time. I have recently returned to playing hockey on Astroturf after a break of 25+ years. The training I do with David enabled me to run around and enjoy playing the game even after such a long break. I am very grateful to David for the work we do together.
