Fantastic experience: Amazing place

Positive experience: Great but beginning to look well used if few places.

Negative experience: I can't say I'm impressed with their customer service, and this is before I'd even had a chance to access their facilities. I'd sent an enquiry a few days before I was due to stay in Fownhope with my husband for a week, in celebration of a significant birthday and emailed them to enquire about a spa day/day pass. I didn't receive a reply at all. I chose to give them the benefit of the doubt and enquired in person, only to be made to feel as if I was intruding, that it was too much to go to the spa to get a list of treatments/details of spa days and very promptly sent on my way. I'm sure it's not the usual service, but, for me, it was very unwelcoming and if I had just moved to the area would not have encouraged me to retutn to consider joining. Very disappointed.

Positive experience: Great spa/gym in the area. Really enjoy the pools and saunas. Some of the facilities could be updated and the hot tubs are often not super hot.

Positive experience: Great exposed brick, ambiently lit and versatile leisure centre offering gym, multiple pools and Jacuzzis (indoor outdoor) as well as steam rooms and saunas. Equipped with automatic card entrance, large changing rooms and a cafe. Will visit again when I'm in the region.

Fantastic experience: Great lunch at the cafe. The salad was amazing - huge variety of ingredients (coleslaw, raw cabbage and carrot, lettuce, sweetcorn, cottage cheese) all for a tenner with a huge crusty roll. The sandwiches were also great with plenty of fillings. Very competitive prices. One thing to know - the cafe adjoins the swimming pool area so is both warm, and has a slight chlorine smell which didn't bother us. Great friendly service too.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic spa! Plus gym and cafe. Beautiful food on site. Ample parking on site. Many classes to choose from. Anyone must vist Wye Leisure!

Positive experience: 2 issues today, the steam room in the adult section, has a very unpleasant smell not sure if something is blocked in there. Secondly only 2 of the 5 hot loungers were working and were both in use, so was unable to use these, please fix. Other than that usual good visit :)

Fantastic experience: What's not to like? All great apart from people bringing their unruly kids for a swim, luckily you can escape to the adults pool and facilities.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic spa, so fortunate to have a facility of this quality on our doorstep. I enjoy the adults area for a relaxing evening, great steam room, outside huge spa pool, hot beds, saunas and the luxury of having your coffee bought to your bed. I also love taking the grandchildren to the family area where there is another steam room, sauna and more. Great gym downstairs, super café and many classes to choose from.

Negative experience: Great facilities they have to offer and reasonably priced when compared to others within Herefordshire. However I would question the cleanliness of around the pools and changing rooms, a little disgusting. They should also have a time children are to not enter as it can be after 9pm and there are still children running around in changing room. Makes you feel a little uncomfortable after a relaxing experience in the pools.

Fantastic experience: Loads of pools, friendly staff, yummy milkshakes. Quite exclusive and quiet in the evenings. Spa treatments are excellent. Food in the restaurant is amazing too.

Positive experience: Good range of facilities showers could do with being cleaned in the afternoon as they are quite dirty by 6pm some areas could use a bit of maintenance broken tiles and signs etc. Staff good food good and gym good.

Fantastic experience: Whether visiting the spa or the gym, Wye leisure is the complete package. I most often visit for a chill out by the pool and in the outdoor spa (beautiful and hot at night!) and really recommend the omelette or a milkshake!

Positive experience: Very friendly staff. Good gym and adult section of swimming pool,sauna,steam,relaxation rooms. Wonderful cafe with personal service. Changing rooms and showers looking very tired, plus no facility to segregate children/families from adult changing. Very embarrassing and potentially dangerous in this age of litigation.

Positive experience: Really enjoy my time at wye leisure,it's in a good location, very friendly staff .. it has a great gym , good sauna & steam room, the outdoor hydrotherapy pool is fantastic ,,, but the place doesn't get cleaned like it should , its simply not good enough for the price of a full membership! £840 a year.. the place looks tired & as if nobody really cares , the men's showers & changing rooms are disgusting & there is always something not working. not good enough guys , sort it before you lose more members

Negative experience: Complained twice now about dirty crockery being left for hours on tables. I got a excuse back saying they were overly busy - it’s not hard to take trays back when you deliver food, so not really acceptable. There’s still a problem every time we come, it’s just not pleasant for what is supposed to be a healthy leisure place. Also occasionally the steam room is out of order, but rather than put a sign on the door, they let you walk in to a fusty foul smelling room. Overall, cleanliness could be improved.

Fantastic experience: Luxurious health club and spa. Gym, classes, swimming pools & lovely cafe and restaurant. Very relaxed "holiday" feel. Beautiful setting in the Herefordshire countryside. Friendly & helpful staff. Children welcomed.

Positive experience: We've been going here on and off for years and it's facilities are great. The adult only pool is exceptional with a lovely outdoor relaxing area. Unfortunately it is starting to look a little tired in places although I think they are now in the process of refurbishment. Food is great and reasonably priced.

Fantastic experience: A visit to the centre has become part of our regular trips to Fownhope. Three (nice and warm) swimming pools; an equal number of spa pools and attractive steam rooms and saunas give plenty of things to do. I like the outdoor spa pool best, especially on cold days when the steam is rising off the water. Note to mention the poolside coffee and biscuits.

Have visited many spas in England but none match up to Wye leisure. Thank you for keeping up such a high standard. Every visit is uplifting and a treat.

Positive experience: Good facilities but the heat of the pools is very irregular

Fantastic experience: Great facilities in the gym as it's recently been updated. The pools and spa area are well maintained although looking there age a little bit now. Don't let that put you off as they have 3 pools, adults only, a family pool area and a training pool all with a sauna and steam room. A hydro pool out side is great for relaxing along with the jacuzzi'. Must mention about the food as well, anything from a date and oat slice to a beef curry it's all superb.

Fantastic experience: Pools great with the kids, or if you want some relaxation on your own, with adult only & all people sections, not to mention the gym and studio!

Fantastic experience: I used Wye Leisure as a guest member whilst visiting relatives. The gym is spot on; it has modern equipment with a good variety of free weights, resistance machines and cardio stations. It is not a budget gym but the excellent facilities like the swimming pool and sauna makes it super value for money. All of the staff are really friendly and someone is always on hand to help. When a manager realised it was my first visit they took the time to show me around! I will definitely be visiting when back in the area.

Fantastic experience: Amazing location, amazing facilities, really friendly staff. Beautiful surroundings. Unbeatable and fantastic value for money. Only problem is we are moving and cannot take the Wye Leisure with us. Family run business and you definitely feel so welcome and are a person not a number. Particularly got a great deal out of the spinning classes and XT band circuits. The instructors are amazing. We will be back to visit and take very happy memories with us. Ann & Steve Arnold x
